Akul Narula exits Zomato’s District after scaling live events
NEW DELHI: Akul Narula has stepped down as vice-president of events at District by Zomato, ending a multi-year stint during which he helped build and scale the platform’s live events and ticketing business.
At District, Narula led strategy and execution for live formats, expanding them across markets while deepening ties with promoters, artists and partners. His mandate focused on turning events into a growth engine, broadening formats and driving adoption on the platform.
Before joining District by Zomato, Narula spent more than three years at Insider.in as head of new business. Earlier roles included central marketing at DLF Limited for its shopping malls portfolio, along with stints at White Fox India and Comic Con India (P) Ltd.
His departure marks a senior leadership change at District as Zomato continues to sharpen its bets beyond food delivery into commerce, experiences and entertainment.
