Sab Events enters pre-packaged insolvency process
MUMBAI: Sab Events & Governance Now Media Limited, the publisher behind Governance Now magazine, has been pushed into a pre-packaged insolvency resolution process after the National Company Law Tribunal’s Mumbai bench ordered commencement of proceedings on 11 November.
The tribunal appointed Kedar Parshuram Mulye as resolution professional to oversee the process, according to a public announcement issued on Tuesday. The company, incorporated in March 2014, operates from Adhikari Chambers in Mumbai’s Andheri West.
Pre-packaged insolvency—a faster alternative to traditional corporate insolvency—allows distressed companies to negotiate a resolution plan with creditors before approaching the tribunal. The process typically takes 120 days, compared with the drawn-out timelines of conventional insolvency proceedings.
Mulye, whose registration expires in June 2026, will make a list of creditor claims available from 22 November on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India’s website and at the company’s registered office. Creditors can submit their claims and grievances to the resolution professional’s office in Goregaon East.
The company informed stock exchanges BSE and National Stock Exchange of the development, where its shares trade under the symbol SABEVENTS. The firm is registered with the Registrar of Companies in Mumbai with corporate identification number L22222MH2014PLC254848.
The move marks another chapter in India’s evolving insolvency landscape, where pre-packaged resolutions have gained traction as a tool for swifter corporate turnarounds. For SAB Events, the clock is now ticking to forge a viable path forward—or face liquidation.
