Preeti Sahni set to join TV9 Network in senior leadership role
MUMBAI: Preeti Sahni is all set to turn the page on her next chapter, with the senior media executive expected to join TV9 Network in a top leadership role next week, according to sources familiar with the development.
Sahni’s move comes after a year-long stint at the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, where she was appointed chief executive officer of Fortune India and Open Media in January 2024. In that role, she was tasked with sharpening the editorial business alignment of the two legacy brands while steering their growth across print and digital platforms.
A familiar name in India’s media corridors, Sahni brings with her more than two decades of experience spanning publishing, broadcast, consulting and digital businesses. She previously spent nearly eight years at Network18, where she wore multiple hats. As chief operating officer of Forbes India, she oversaw operations during a period of rapid transformation, while also serving as senior vice president for International Business, driving global partnerships and revenue initiatives.
Before that, Sahni held leadership roles at some of the country’s most influential media houses. At the Times Group, she led the international and luxury verticals at a national level. Earlier, at India Today, she headed the English magazine and luxury business portfolios, shaping both content strategy and commercial growth.
Her career began with stints at Hindustan Times and Oracle, giving her an unusual blend of editorial instinct and corporate rigour.
At TV9 Network, Sahni is expected to play a key role in strengthening the group’s leadership bench as it continues to expand its footprint across news, digital and regional markets. With her track record of bridging content and commerce, industry watchers will be keen to see how she scripts the next act.
