Cleartrip’s ‘Price Trends’ campaign takes the gamble out of booking
NATIONAL: Cleartrip has launched a national campaign to push price trends, a new in-app feature designed to kill the most corrosive habit in travel booking: second-guessing.
The campaign frames airfare shopping as a numbers game rather than a nerve-wracking punt. Price trends scans 30 days of historical fares for a given route and date, then tags the live price as lower than usual, typical or higher, with the difference shown directly on the search results page. The signals cover bookings made up to 60 days before travel.
For a market obsessed with whether to book now or wait, the pitch is simple: trust the data, not your gut.
“Transparency creates trust,” said Cleartrip chief technology and product officer Manoj Awasthi. He said the campaign marks the first step in a broader pricing-intelligence push that will eventually include AI-driven alerts and predictions.
Group product manager Arnav Sharma, said the idea was to strip out the stress that turns booking into a gamble. Instead of watching fares jump and drop, users get a single, data-backed cue on whether it is a good moment to buy.
The campaign also tees up what comes next. Cleartrip plans to roll out an AI-powered price-prediction model, aimed at warning travellers of likely hikes before they hit.
