Citi names Manoj Goel head of corporate FX sales for India and the subcontinent
MUMBAI: Citi has appointed Manoj Goel as head of corporate FX sales for India and the Indian subcontinent, adding a seasoned markets specialist to its leadership ranks at a time when cross-border flows are expanding rapidly. His appointment is effective immediately.
Goel joins Citi from HSBC, where he led global markets corporate sales. Over a 23-year career in Indian financial markets, he has steered some of the country’s largest cross-border FX transactions, built corridor connections with major international markets, and advised corporates on structured FX strategies and risk management.
At Citi, Goel will report to head of corporate FX sales for Japan, Asia North & Australia (JANA) and Asia South Vandana Bhatter, and to head of markets for India Aditya Bagree. He will oversee the expansion of Citi’s corporate FX franchise, sharpen client engagement, and scale delivery of FX and risk-management solutions for companies with international exposures.
Bhatter said Goel’s appointment reinforces Citi’s ambition to remain India’s leading corporate FX franchise, while Bagree noted the growing need for corporates to manage risk and operate efficiently across global markets.
Goel is an electronics engineer from BITS Pilani and a silver medallist from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
