Aman Jain to head Meta’s public policy operations in India
HARYANA: Aman Jain is set to join Meta as senior director and country head for public policy, taking charge of one of the most closely watched policy portfolios in India’s tech sector. Jain said he is “excited” to be part of Meta’s mission to connect people and support a thriving creator and small-business ecosystem—a purpose he says resonates strongly with him.
Jain brings a heavyweight résumé spanning Amazon, Google and government advisory roles. At Amazon, he led public policy in India, navigating regulatory headwinds and external partnerships. His seven-year stint at Google saw him rise through government affairs roles across APAC and India, eventually heading the public-policy function and steering the company through complex policy shifts.
Before his big-tech innings, Jain held senior roles at Peter & David Enterprises, advised the minister of youth affairs and sports, and worked on governance, citizen-engagement and legislative research projects in Washington, DC—including with the US Department of Justice, AmericaSpeaks and the Congressional Management Foundation. Earlier in his career, he served as global chief executive of AIESEC International, leading operations across 100-plus countries and delivering double-digit organisational growth.
Jain describes himself as a seasoned corporate leader with expertise in crisis management, stakeholder engagement and navigating high-stakes policy environments. Meta is betting that this deep mix of global exposure and local savvy will help the company sharpen its policy posture at a time when India’s digital economy is shifting rapidly.
