MUMBAI: Pickleball is ready to rally a crowd and this time, the tickets are just a tap away. World Pickleball League (WPBL) has named Swiggy Scenes as its official ticketing Partner for Season 2, with bookings now live on the platform.

Season 2 of WPBL is shaping up as much more than a sporting tournament. Designed as a full-blown “sportainment” spectacle, the league blends high-intensity pickleball with live performances, celebrity involvement and immersive fan engagement. The season kicks off with a marquee pickleball festival on January 24 at Jio World Garden, setting the tone with a celebrity owners’ showcase, live entertainment and interactive fan experiences.

Competitive action begins on January 27 with a blockbuster opener between last season’s finalists, Bengaluru Jawans and Pune United. Across 13 days, seven teams will contest 120 matches, culminating in the grand finale on February 8.

The partnership with Swiggy Scenes is aimed at streamlining access to the league’s multi-day experience, positioning WPBL as a cultural outing rather than just a match-day affair. For fans, it means a single digital destination to secure entry into what the league is pitching as India’s biggest pickleball-led live entertainment property.

World Pickleball League founder and CEO Gaurav Natekar said the focus for Season 2 is on building an atmosphere that combines sport, energy and community, with ticketing simplicity playing a key role in that vision.

Swiggy Scenes VP and business head Supriya Shankar noted that live sport and entertainment are increasingly converging, calling WPBL a natural fit for audiences seeking experiences that go beyond the game itself.

With tickets now live and the countdown underway, WPBL Season 2 is positioning pickleball not just as a fast-growing sport, but as a live, social spectacle, one that’s ready to draw crowds well beyond the baseline.
