MUMBAI: When cricket’s golden oldies warm up, the decibel levels rise both on and off the pitch. The World Legends Pro T20 League is set to open on a high note, with hindi movie hitmaker Sunidhi Chauhan headlining the opening ceremony in Goa on 25 January 2026, just a day before the first ball is bowled.

The tournament will run from 26 January to 4 February 2026 at the 1919 Sportz Cricket Stadium, blending fast-paced T20 action with a dose of spectacle. Sunidhi’s high-energy performance is expected to set the mood for a league that thrives on nostalgia, noise and non-stop entertainment.

On the field, the spotlight will firmly be on some of the game’s most recognisable names. Fans will see legends such as Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, Chris Gayle, Dale Steyn, Alastair Cook, Shane Watson and Stuart Broad return to competitive action, bringing star power and sharp rivalry back into the mix.

In all, 90 players will feature across six teams Delhi Warriors, Dubai Royals, Gurugram Thunders, Maharashtra Tycoons, Pune Panthers and Rajasthan Lions contesting the title over ten match-filled days. The format promises tight finishes, familiar rivalries and flashes of brilliance from players who helped define modern cricket.

By pairing international cricket icons with a festival-style opening, the World Legends Pro T20 League aims to give fans more than just a trip down memory lane. Tickets for the tournament are available on Bookmyshow, as anticipation builds for a fortnight where old heroes, new cheers and loud choruses take centre stage.
