NEW DELHI: JK Tyre and Industries Limited has rolled into the global sustainability fast lane, securing a silver rating from EcoVadis and placing itself among the top 7 percent of companies assessed worldwide.

The recognition puts JK Tyre in the 93rd percentile globally, a strong signal that its efforts in responsible business are gaining real traction. EcoVadis evaluates companies across four pillars: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. JK Tyre showed consistent strength across all four, reflecting a well rounded approach rather than a single lane sprint.

In FY25, the company posted an overall score of 77 out of 100. The standout performance came from the Environment pillar, where JK Tyre clocked an impressive 89 points. This reflects focused work on climate action, energy efficiency, emissions management and robust environmental systems across operations.

Commenting on the achievement, chairman and managing director Raghupati Singhania, said the rating was the result of sustained and deliberate efforts across governance, people practices, ethical conduct and responsible sourcing. He added that the recognition reinforces the company’s integrated sustainability approach and energises teams to push further.

Beyond the numbers, the silver rating underlines JK Tyre’s broader intent: cutting its carbon footprint, building a safe and inclusive workplace, maintaining high ethical standards and extending sustainability across its value chain.

For a sector often judged only on mileage and margins, JK Tyre’s latest milestone shows that sustainability can be just as central to the journey.
