    Crocs launches third edition of “Come As You Are” campaign

    MUMBAI: Crocs Inc, a global innovative casual footwear brand for women, men, and children has launched the third year of its “Come As You Are” marketing campaign. Global brand ambassadors, including award-winning actress, singer-songwriter and director Zooey Deschanel, along with British actress Natalie Dormer will encourage consumers to declare that being yourself, being comfortable and looking stylish are not mutually exclusive.

    For the campaign’s official launch, Crocs has released a video that highlights just how easy it is to be comfortable in your own shoes.  Crocs’ most popular products and collections will be showcased throughout the campaign, including LiteRide™, Crocband Platform, Crocs Serena, Swiftwater™ and, Classic Clog

    Crocs chief marketing officer Terence Reilly said, “As we enter our third year of ‘Come As You Are,’ we are evolving not only our message and cast but the entire look and feel of our marketing campaign. Crocs is making a bold declaration that you can have both style and comfort no matter who you are or where your life takes you.”

    Deschanel and Dormer are joined by Chinese actress, dancer, and model Gina Jin, South Korean actress, and gugudan girl-band member Kim Se-Jeong, and Japanese actress and model Suzu Hirose for the year-long campaign.

    “Because comfort comes in many shapes and sizes, our global brand ambassadors will wear and talk about some of our most popular styles in settings that are relevant to their interests and personalities,” Reilly said.

    “Come As You Are” will be seen through various digital, social, print and in-store marketing materials with a specific focus on the United States, Germany, China, Japan, and South Korea. In addition, Crocs will be on the lookout for a 2019 Crocs Fan Ambassador who can show us how they embrace “Come As You Are” and wear Crocs to pursue their passions,” concluded Reilly.

    CAA signs New Girl star Zooey Deschanel

    MUMBAI: The popular TV star has gone back to CAA after being with UTA for seven months. She has also moved on from long-time manager Sarah Jackson but has not yet signed up a new manager.

     

    Deschanel has won an Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations. She is also a singer and songwriter and has been nominated in the Grammy awards.

     

    She shot to fame with the TV show New Girl that has done well with the viewers. Ex-manager Jackson’s Seven Summits still continues to represent clients like Homeland’s Morena Baccarin and comedian Russel Peters.

    Zee Café to air 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards on 19 September

    MUMBAI: English GEC Zee Café will air the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, presented by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in the US to honour the best in primetime television programming on 19 September at 5:30 am with a repeat at 9 pm and on 24 September at 9 pm.


    The Primetime Emmy Awards celebrates excellence in national primetime programming, awarding top honors at the annual creative arts and primetime awards ceremonies. Special honors, like the Governors Award and the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award, are bestowed during the Primetime Emmys.


    The show will have presenters like Will Arnett, Don Cheadle, Kaley Cuoco, Zooey Deschanel, Ashton Kutcher, Rob Lowe and Julianna Margulies.
     
    Shows with multiple nominations include Mildred Pierce, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Modern Family, Saturday Night Live and Glee.

    Sush and Barbie spread cheer at Fun Republic

    MUMBAI: 250 children from St. Catherine’s Home wore the broadest smiles on Sunday evening. And there was more than one reason for all the good cheer. The ‘Fun Day’ event organized by Fun Republic Cinemas kept the children enthralled throughout.

    Sushmita Sen along with daughter Renee were present to promote the adventure animation flick ‘Bridge to Terabithia’ which explores the wonders of friendship, family and fantasy. The movie stars Josh Hutcherson, Annasophia Robb, Zooey Deschanel, Robert Patrick, Bailey Madison and Kate Butler. The 95 minute adventure is directed by Gabor Csupo, a world-renowned animation artist. The screenplay by Jeff Stockwell and David Paterson is based on the award-winning novel by Katherine Paterson.

    Speaking at the event Fun Republic vice preseident, marketing Vishal Anand said, “We organized this Fun Day at Fun Republic, to take forward our aim to be the ideal out-of-home entertainment destination. The kids could play, sing, dance and share some special moments with Sushmita Sen and her daughter Renee. Besides, movies always fascinate children and we have got the best release of the week for them. It’s just a small effort to motivate them and add some smiles.”

    The event also acted as a pre-birthday bash for Barbie. The Mattel owned Barbie celebrates her birthday on 9 March. The children were also given a chance to get creative with personalized cards for Barbie’s birthday.

    The day long event featured a dance session and a magic show. This was followed by the actress gifting Barbie dolls to the kids and their teachers. The evening also saw a special screening of Bridge to Terabithia which released nation wide on 16 February

    The Barbie merchandise showcased at the event included Barbie career dolls – as a Doctor, an Art Teacher, a Baby Photographer and a Pet Sitter. These dolls highlight the values of caring, nurturing, and self confidence, encouraging every girl to dream and have the courage to make her dreams come true. Mattel owned doll aims to spread the message of ‘Be who you want to be… with Barbie’.
