    MUMBAI: Known for its good storytelling, Zindagi will present a new fiction series, ‘Paani Jaisa Pyaar’. It is yet another masterpiece by the ‘Humsafar’ and ‘Shehr-E-Zaat’ director, Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. With a versatile ensemble cast featuring Saba Qamar, Mikaal Zulfiqar and Juggan Kazim in the lead roles along with established actors like Ahsan Khan, Samina Peerzada, Babrik Shah, Rizwan Ali and Nausheen Shah, ‘Paani Jaisa Pyaar’ will premiere on 9 June, 2016 at 8:00 PM, every Monday to Saturday.

    The compelling story of a strong headed girl, ‘Paani Jaisa Pyaar’ is about Sana’s journey and her tryst with life and destiny. An entangled love story, the show revolves around Sana (Saba Qamar), a 25-year-old girl from Faisalabad with two older siblings, Hassan and Dua. Sana has been engaged to Adarsh (Mikaal Zulfiqar), the son of her mother’s best friend Arfa ever since she was a child. Adarsh, however, unaware of this engagement, is in love with Sasha (Juggan Kazim), a childhood friend of his and wishes to marry her. The story takes an interesting turn when Adarsh tells his parents of his intentions and is informed by them that he is already engaged to Sana and he will have to leave their home if he doesn’t marry her.

    From Pakistan, covering a myriad of varying emotions; this month, Zindagi presents some beautifully penned dramas. Malika- e- Aliyathat premiered on 11th May at 9.40 PM, is a family thriller written by Nadia Akhtar and is the story about making one’s dreams come true. From veteran author, Umera Ahmad, comes the tragic romantic drama that airs at 8 PM, Mohabbat Subha Ka Sitara Hai. It is a modern day Cinderella story. Premiering on 23rd May at 8.50 PM is Ishqaway, a twisted tale of love, friends, envy and family pressure.

    From India, Zindagi will present three popular stories with a timeless appeal that premiere on 23rd. May. Kick-starting at 6.30 PM, the channel will present Antara, a heart-warming story of an autistic child. Airing at 7.00 PM is Babul ki Duaien, a show that explores a father’s anxiety and emotions on getting his daughters married and celebrates the beauty of a tender bond between a father and his daughters. Also premiering at 7.30 PM is Vrindavan Ki Radhika, the timeless love saga of soulmates Radhika and Dev. After the resounding success of the Turkish drama Feriha and on popular demand, the show is airing at an all new time-band of 5.30 PM from 12th May.

    MUMBAI:  Zindagi has not only been winning the hearts of its viewers across the country but also winning awards for its unique marketing campaigns. At the recently held PromaxBDA Awards, that recognises excellence in on-air promotion, branding and advertising, Zindagi won two prominent awards. The channel won a Gold for Best Drama Promo for Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain and Silver for Best Integrated Marketing Campaign (Out-of-House) for their first original fiction show Bhaage Re Mann (BRM)

    The special promo that got the coveted PromaxBDA Gold for Best Drama Promo was designed by Zindagi for their show Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain to showcase the various issues faced by women. The show, a series of telefilms based on real life situations addressing issues related to women was one of the flagship shows with which the channel was launched.

    The campaign which won Silver for Best Integrated Marketing Campaign (Out-of-House) was executed by the channel for Bhaage Re Mann, their 1st original fiction show, to introduce the show to the target audience. To create buzz around the show, the main protagonist Padmni’s unique quality of diving straight into a problem & providing solution without overstating the obvious was used to deliver hard hitting social messages. The outdoor campaign was used to create awareness on social issues like Road Safety, Washroom Etiquettes, Pollution, Inflation and Dangers of Rail Tracks Crossing.  Similar contextual messages were also used in Train Audio Spots, Radio and Retail Outlets. The campaign was a success with the show opening at a 45% higher reach.

    The prestigious PromaxBDA awards recognises the very best work produced by the industry to get a programming, channel or brand noticed. The Awards are open to Satellite, Cable, Broadcast Television, Radio Station and associated new media, their agencies and production houses and are judged basis message effectiveness, overall creativity and originality of concept.

    MUMBAI: Known for its gripping dramas with interesting and realistic stories, Zindagi brings to viewers Vasl, the journey of a mother who will stop at nothing to re-unite with her children.  Vasl will premiere on 2 May,  and will air every Monday – Saturday at 9 pm. 

    Directed by the renowned Mehreen Jabbar and written by Sameera Fazal, it has the very dynamic Adnan Siddiqui in the lead role as Hashim and Ayesha Khan in the extremely heart–wrenching role of Heena.

    ‘Vasl’ is the story of Heena, a girl from a middle-class family, who is married to a Pakistani settled in the United States of America. A dutiful wife, Henna tries her best to mould herself to the American way of life and to her husband’s sophisticated & westernized lifestyle.  He, however fails to accept her and constantly tells her to change. Hashim sends his wife Henna to Pakistan to meet her parents. Having not met her family in 12 years, Henna happily agrees and takes the children to Pakistan to visit her family. A few days into their visit, on the pretext of an urgent school project, Hashim calls the kids back to the U.S. Anxious to see her children; Heena prepares to return to the U.S., only to receive divorce papers from her husband.

     Thus starts Henna’s struggles to deal with this shocking turn of event and her fight to get her children back. Betrayal, fury, helplessness and loneliness lead a gentle natured and timid Henna to find strength in herself and deal with every challenge head-on to get her kids back and discovers herself in the process.

    Will Henna’s inner strength and courage, lead her to justice? Will she ever be reunited with her children?

    Arranged Marriage will be premiered on 11 March at 6:10 pm and will go on air every Monday toSaturday.

    It is the narration of a one sided love of a girl Roshanay who gets into an arranged marriage with Ahmed and the challenges that she faces in this relationship as he does not reciprocate her feelings. The story evoke various emotions be it love, hate, anger, compassion and envy.

    Zindagi to launch Fawad Khan’s ‘Kuch Pyaar Ka Paagalpan Bhi Tha’ on 1 Feb

    MUMBAI: With the month of love around the corner, Zindagi is all set to launch a new show called Kuch Pyaar Ka Paagalpan Bhi Tha (KPKPBT) starring Fawad Khan from 1 February onwards.

     

    The show will be aired from Monday to Saturday at 8 pm.

     

    KPKPBT was originally written by Sameera Fazal and directed by Haissam Hussain. The show was broadcasted on the ARY Digital Network in Pakistan.

     

    The show marks the reunion of the creative team, which was part of Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam, where the trio of Khan, Sanam Baloch and director Hussain has came together in a gripping story set against the backdrop of the pre-independence era.

     

    KPKPBT  is a light hearted drama series that revolves around the lives of four pivotal characters – Mujtaba (Khan), Kiran (Baloch), Daniez (Ayesha Khan) and Shamrez (Mikaal Zulfiqar).

     

    The story is about the Mujtaba, a Pakistani computer engineer who dreams of making it big abroad by taking over his uncle’s thriving business and marrying his cousin Daniez. Kuch Pyaar Ka Paagalpan Bhi Tha is an entertaining drama that gives the audiences a glimpse into the lives of immigrants and depicts that grass is not always greener on the other side.
