    Mumbai: ZEE5 has introduced its latest AVOD brand campaign, “ZEE5 TV Dekha Kya”, to increase the adoption of connected TVs. The latest TVC highlights the availability of AVOD content on smart TVs, which is currently on air across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. Launching this new campaign, ZEE5 reaffirms its commitment to educating users about the flexibility and convenience of watching their favourite TV shows on ZEE5’s AVOD proposition, ZEE5 TV Apna TV.

    The TVC humorously addresses the scenario of missing out on TV shows due to the constraints of traditional broadcasting schedules. The promos feature a disgruntled wife and mother who missed her TV show and is introduced to the concept of watching ZEE5 on a connected TV by her child.     Mumbai: Media industry leader Jay Pandya, recognized for his role in cinematic storytelling, has launched his new production company, Blank Slate Films. To start this new chapter, Blank Slate Films debuts with the Malayalam anthology project, ‘Manorathangal’.

    Manorathangal is an anthology based on nine captivating short stories by the acclaimed M. T. Vasudevan Nair. Presented by Saregama (Yoodlee Films) and supported by Kamal Haasan, this inaugural project for Blank Slate Films features an illustrious ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Fahad Fazil, Biju Menon, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Indrajith Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Mamukkoya, Vineeth, Indrans, Aparna Balamurali, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Surabhi Lakshmi, and Ann Augustine.     ZEE Entertainment scales up DP World ILT20 goals

    Mumbai: ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, content and entertainment powerhouse and the official broadcasting partner of the global cricket league, DP World International League T20 (ILT20), has unveiled its plans for an exciting third season, set to take place from 11 January 2025. The 34-match tournament will run for a month and culminate on 9 February 2025. The plans include creating a memorable month-long cricket carnival experience for cricket lovers, especially from India, expanding its viewership base by including South Indian channels and targeting 230 million viewership in the upcoming league. Cricket fans and sports enthusiasts in India and around the world can exclusively watch the LIVE action on ZEE Entertainment’s 15 linear channels as well as stream it for free on its OTT platform ZEE5, every evening.

    As the third season approaches, ZEE Entertainment promises to deliver captivating action engagingly and dynamically across its linear channels and OTT platform, ZEE5. Commenting upon this announcement, Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd chief growth officer – digital & broadcast revenue Ashish Sehgal said, “We aim to offer our cricket lovers a sporting carnival experience that combines high-class cricket at a comfortable, luxurious venue. This month-long event will offer an innovative and immersive experience for cricket fans across the globe.     Talking about the tournament known to be the second-most popular league outside of the Indian Premier League (IPL), DP World ILT20 CEO David White said, “Firstly, the uniqueness of the DP World ILT20 lies in the fact that we can have nine international players vis-à-vis the standard four. What also sets ILT20 apart from other leagues is that it does not have a home-and-away format. With three venues – Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi every team feels at home. We need to cultivate strong team loyalty now.  The UAE as a destination boasts of fantastic stadiums, ideal weather in the early part of the year and a comfortable environment for players.     DP World ILT20, in its second season, drew an impressive 200,000 attendees across over 30 games. The league is the second most-watched T20 cricket league globally, with a total of 348 million unique viewers from around the world, including a staggering 221 million viewers from India. This success was fueled by ZEE Network’s broadcasting strategy, which leveraged a combination of ZEE’s 10 Linear TV Channels and its OTT Platform ZEE5. With a notable 46 per cent share of female viewership and 55 per cent share of youth viewership, the league’s broad appeal in India underscores its status as household entertainment.

    The tournament is aiming for an even larger audience in its third season, targeting 230 million viewers. The strategies being employed to increase its footprints are multifaceted, focusing on the Indian market, which includes cricket lovers, advertisers, and the addition of South Indian channels.

    The matches generated a massive response last season from markets like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat and Maharashtra. This year the tournament’s on-air promotion will take place across 40 channels. DP World ILT20 Season 3 will also focus on South Indian channels as part of its strategy to expand viewership.

    The league plans to announce new signings next month on 15th September. The existing roster continues to be strong with the presence of players like Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, David Warner, Jack Fraser McGurk and Shimron Hetmyer, among others. The league, on the whole, boasts of 60,000 registered cricketers.

    The franchise-style tournament DP World IPL T20, comprises six teams and 34 matches that are played across the UAE. The league’s six franchise teams feature Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (Kolkata Knight Riders), Desert Vipers (Lancer Capital), Dubai Capitals (GMR), Gulf Giants (Adani Sportsline), MI Emirates (Reliance Industries), and Sharjah Warriors (Capri Global).

    Mumbai: Mumbai’s iconic David Sassoon Library’s clock tower was the centre of all attention on Friday evening as ZEE5 held a captivating 3D projection of its just released mystery thriller ‘Gyaarah Gyaarah’. Mumbaikars were in for a spectacular surprise as the multilingual storyteller enthralled commuters and by-standers with a sneak peak into the highly anticipated mystery drama. A collaboration between Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment and Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, ‘Gyaarah Gyaarah’ is directed by Umesh Bisht and stars the trio of Raghav Juyal, Kritika Kamra and Dhairya Karwa.  

    Known for its Victorian Gothic architecture, the David Sassoon Library is an integral part of Mumbai’s heritage. The showcase which took place on the day of the show’s launch, 9 August, offered a visually stunning preview of the series, bringing its time-bending narrative to life against the backdrop of one of Mumbai’s most historic landmarks. This takeover by ZEE5 is a testament to the brand’s vision to entertain and engage diverse audiences through concerted high impact initiatives. Prior to the 3D showcase, ZEE5 had held a high-octane trailer launch and a power-packed special screening for industry stalwarts and cinephiles.

    Leveraging the creative brilliance and expertise of both Sikhya Entertainment and Dharmatic Entertainment, Gyaarah Gyaarah has opened to rave reviews. In a bid to meet the massive audience anticipation for the show, ZEE5 dropped all eight episodes of the mystery thriller on 8 August at 11:11 pm. The much-awaited show is a strong step forward in solidifying the homegrown streaming platform’s leadership in India’s OTT ecosystem.

    Gyaarah Gyaarah, starring Raghav Juyal, Kritika Kamra and Dhairya Karwa follows the story of Yug Arya (Raghav Juyal), a young police officer in the present day (2016), who discovers a mysterious communication link with Shaurya Anthwal (Dhairya Karwa), a senior detective from the 1990s through a mysterious walkie talkie. The main hook of this temporal mystery is Vamika Rawat (Kritika Kamra), once mentored by Shaurya before his mysterious disappearance, and now guiding Yug in the present. As Shaurya and Yug collaborate to solve cold cases across time, they unknowingly set off a chain of events that alters the course of history. With each tick of the clock, ‘Gyaarah Gyaarah’ peels the layers of mysteries where past and present collide, leaving viewers questioning the very fabric of time itself.
