    Mumbai: ZEE5 head marketing – SVOD & music Reilly Rebello has moved on from the platform and has joined Zoey’s All Natural as co-founder. At Zoey’s All Natural, he would be at the helm of the branding and marketing of the company.

    Rebello announced his departure from ZEE5 through a LinkedIn post and said, “ZEE5 was one hell of a ride. We rolled up our sleeves and dug our heels in every day, we learnt and unlearnt every day, and we celebrated the little and big wins every day. And for this, I will forever be grateful to the people I worked with—most of all to Tarun Katial for his never-ending support, belief, and vision in the bigger goal. And to the team, without whom I would not have been able to achieve even half of what I did. Now it’s time for me to move on from the corporate sector and leap into entrepreneurship once again. This time into the world of health and healthy foods. I’ve joined Zoey’s All Natural as co-founder and will work towards helping people change to more natural and healthier eating habits.”

    Rebello has around 18 years of professional experience having worked with companies like Mudra Communications, VGC Advertising, Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, etc. He had joined ZEE5 in January 2019 from Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company. He has also co-founded a niche e-commerce venture that ran for two years.

    OTT aggregator PlayboxTV onboards ZEE5 and SonyLIV

    Mumbai: OTT aggregator app PlayboxTV which allows viewers to watch multiple OTT platforms and Live TV under one roof has brought onboard ZEE5 and SonyLIV to enhance its proposition.

    A collaborative effort between Next Trillion Technologies and Microscan Infocommtech, PlayboxTV positions itself as a one-stop destination for wholesome entertainment, bundled up in subscriptions starting at Rs 129. It is accessible on TV as well as on mobile devices. In the absence of a Smart TV, PlayboxTV set-top box can be used to avail the same services on television sets. It customises content recommendations based viewers’ viewers’ interests and choices. Playbox TV has a collection of 100,000 movies, over 350 live TV channels, multiple originals and popular shows, according to the official statement.

    Zee Tamil announces launch of new reality show ‘Survivor’

    Mumbai: Tamil GEC, Zee Tamil on Tuesday announced the launch of its upcoming reality show, Survivor. The hugely popular global reality show is adapted for the Tamil market by the content production and distribution company Banijay Asia.

    Helmed by the production giant – Banijay, the franchise’s global success of Survivor is aptly reflected across every international adaptation of the show in multiple languages, resulting in a strong fan base world over. The show is the ultimate game of human survival designed to truly test every aspect of its contestant’s mental and physical strength, the multi-channel network said in a statement.

    “As a channel, we have always committed ourselves to engage our audience with innovative content and variety in reality entertainment. Survivor will definitely set new benchmarks in reality show formats in India.     Mumbai: Homegrown FinTech startup Rupeek has appointed Jimit Shah as its associate director – PR and communications, with effect from 29 July. Shah was previously associated with ZEE5 as its PR and communications lead.

    At Rupeek, Shah will be leading the integrated PR and communications mandate along with a team of PR professionals working with him.

    Shah is a communication professional who comes with 12 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, reputation management, brand strategy, and crisis management. He has been part of both agencies as well as the corporate side of the business. He has had stints with agencies like Madison PR, Mullen Lowe Lintas Group, Adeventurez. Prior to ZEE5, he was part of the marketing communications team of Star Sports at Star India.

    New Delhi: Change is the force of nature. More so, when it’s catalysed by digital technology, that not only transforms the way we live, but alters the way we envision the world. The last few years have done exactly that, disrupting the world of media and entertainment and heralding a new era where content is the king.

    Streaming has taken its rightful place as the go-to option for the new-age audiences worldwide.     This content revolution will take centre-stage at the much-awaited fifth edition of The Content Hub 2021- ‘TV, Film, Digital Video, and Beyond’ being organised by Indiantelevision.com from 28-30 July, 2021.     MUMBAI: Patanjali Ayurved has appointed senior media, marketing and advertising professional Anita Nayyar as its chief operating officer-media and communications. Nayyar updated her LinkedIn profile to reflect the development. 

    In her last stint, Nayyar was ZEE5’s customer strategy and relationships head.

    In her expansive career spanning over two decades, Nayyar has been instrumental in driving strategic business development, client relations and creative narratives for brands across her stints at varied Indian and global firms. 

    Nayyar joined Havas in 2007 as CEO of Havas Media India. Under her leadership Havas Media in India grew and expanded its offerings as an integrated communications group. In 2018, Nayyar was promoted to CEO of Havas Media Southeast Asia on the back of an accelerated growth strategy in the region, in addition to her role as CEO of Havas Media India.

    In the past, Nayyar has played leadership roles in advertising and media agencies – Ogilvy, Lintas-Initiative Media, Mediacom, Mudra, Starcom.

    KOLKATA: Zee5 original film State of Siege: Temple Attack has premiered in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu simultaneously on 9 July. To create buzz around the film, the OTT platform has deployed an extensive 360-degree campaign consisting of print, TV, digital and on-ground promotions.

    From multiple print ads and an on-air promotional plan to a stimulating digital plan including a UGC activity where people sent in their gratitude in the form of a message to NSG commandos, ZEE5 left no stone unturned to promote the film, the platform said in a statement.
     
    Inspired by true events, State of Siege: Temple Attack pays tribute to our soldiers, salutes the brave Indian spirit, and continues the legacy of the Siege series. It stars Akshaye Khanna in the lead role, alongside Vivek Dahiya, Gautam Rode, Sameer Soni, Parvin Dabas, and Manjari Phadnis.

    KOLKATA: Zee5 has announced sports docu-drama “Break Point” with the award-winning filmmaker duo Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari at the helm. The series will explore the untold story of the titans of tennis Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, their partnership and the bitter break-up, the platform said in a statement on Thursday.

    The show will also mark Zee5’s first partnership with the filmmakers under their banner Earthsky Pictures.

    Speaking about the offering, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd content and international markets president Punit Misra said, “Our Content design philosophy is simple – Build a deep understanding of viewers as people, not just as consumers of content.     New Delhi: The countdown to the launch of Zindagi’s third original web series ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar’ has begun. The new series will be launched on 25 June and its episodes will premiere every Friday at 12 noon, ZEE5 announced on Wednesday.

    ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar’ revolves around the void that war leaves behind for the martyrs’ families on both sides of the border. ZEE5 has decided to stream the finale episodes on the Independence Day weekend – a historic day for people on both sides of the Indo-Pak border and South-Asian diaspora globally.

    ZEE5 India, chief business officer, Manish Kalra said, “An opportunity to tell such a powerful yet touching story does not come by easily. Through ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar’, we want to touch as many lives as we can and start a conversation about ‘heart over hate’.     New Delhi: Onnivation on Wednesday named Kaveri Das as their vice president of strategy and growth. She previously worked for ZEE5 as corporate strategy lead.

    The company invests in the India business of Israeli deep tech companies and helps them grow in India.

    In her new role, Das will be responsible for strategizing and navigating the company’s roadmap for its next wave of growth.

    Talking about her new profile, Das said, “Onnivation’s vision of building a technology powerhouse through their partners and the value it adds to its customers is very compelling.
