    Manuj Arora appointed director, ads at Myntra

    MUMBAI: Manuj Arora has taken on the role of director at Myntra. He moves into this position after nearly seven years with the online fashion retailer, where he previously held the titles of deputy director from April 2020 and associate director for three years starting in April 2022. During his time as associate director, his responsibilities included leading the gift card and strategic alliances businesses, as well as overseeing approximately 50 per cent of Myntra’s advertising business across various product categories.

    Prior to joining Myntra, Arora served as a manager at Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) for two years. His experience also includes a role as associate group head at Reliance Broadcast Network, where he focused on business development through advertising sales and integrated marketing solutions. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Zee Media Corp Ltd (DNA) as an assistant manager in sales and at Colgate Palmolive in customer development.

    In his new role as director at Myntra, Arora will be responsible for Myntra ads, brand partnerships, strategic alliances, and gift cards.

    Rajesh Sareen is a veteran in the media space, bringing over 20 years of extensive experience in sales, business development, and key account management. Before joining Zee Media, he served as executive vice president & national revenue head at TV18 Broadcast Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in driving advertising sales and leading revenue growth across multiple channels. His career also includes leadership positions at Star India Pvt Ltd, BCCL, and HT Media Ltd, where he consistently demonstrated his ability to build and maintain strategic corporate partnerships while delivering exceptional business outcomes. Rajesh’s expertise in navigating both traditional and digital media ecosystems positions him well to lead Zee Media’s revenue expansion efforts in an increasingly competitive market.

    Mumbai: In commemoration of World Mental Health Day, Zee Media Corporation Ltd partnered with Rotary International (District 3012, Rotary Club of Delhi North), the Cosmos Institute of Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences (CIMBS), New Delhi, and the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) to host the inaugural Global Mindcare Conclave on 10 October 2023. The event resonated as a pivotal global advocacy for mental health rights while also focusing on addressing India’s pressing mental health challenges.

    The prestigious Global Mindcare conclave was inaugurated by former Chief Justice of India UU Lalit, along with Zee Media CEO Abhay Ojha, Rotary immediate past district governor Dr. Lalit Khanna, and WFMH VP Dr. Sunil Mittal, addressed the theme of this year’s World Mental Health Day, ‘Mental Health is a Universal Human Right’. This conclave served as a comprehensive platform for diverse mental health stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), caregivers, and individuals with lived experiences of mental health disorders.     •  Mental health statistics: Dr. Sunil Mittal underscored the gravity of the situation, stating that nearly 1 billion  individuals worldwide grapple with mental disorders, with 20 crore individuals residing in India. Notably, the National Mental Health Survey (2015-2016) unveiled that one in every sixth Indian requires mental health support, demanding immediate innovative interventions.
       
    • Wide range of mental health topics: The conclave hosted eight informative sessions, encompassing a wide spectrum of mental health topics. These sessions included a global and Indian perspective on mental health rights, discussions on mental health law and policy, and an exploration of advancements in mental healthcare. A particular highlight was the discussion on the Tele-Manas program and the role of private psychiatrists in augmenting mental health services.
       
    •  Rotary Connect and Care Campaign: Rotary, in collaboration with CIMBS and WFMH, unveiled the Rotary Connect and Care campaign on Mental Health, designed to raise awareness, combat stigma, and provide advanced mental health treatments, including Deep TMS, to underserved populations.

    Zee Media marketing head Pooja Gupta quits

    MUMBAI: Zee Media Corp Ltd (ZMCL) marketing head Pooja Gupta has quit. Sources in ZMCL confirmed that Gupta has put in her papers at the news network today.

    Gupta has been a part of the ZMCL for more than a year. In November 2015, the company elevated Pooja Gupta as marketing head. Based in Noida, she reported to ZMCL CEO R K Arora.

    Gupta’s focus was to build brand awareness of all ZMCL channels across various sectors and verticals as well as with key stakeholders leading to increased traction with the company’s advertiser-customer. During her stint, the news network launched another news channel World Is One News (WION).

    Prior to joining ZMCL, Gupta had worked with News Nation as vice-president brand and corporate communications.
