    ABP tops the charts with regional flair and a digital news power play

    MUMBAI: Who says news is all doom and gloom? For ABP Network, it’s a story worth celebrating in five languages, no less. According to Comscore MMX-Multi-Platform data for February 2025, ABP Network has emerged as India’s third-largest digital publisher, pulling in a whopping 147.9 million unique visitors and outpacing media giants like HT Media, Zee Digital, India Today Group, Times Network, and NDTV.

    But this isn’t just a numbers game, it’s a masterclass in multilingual domination. ABP’s regional powerhouses are sweeping through Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, and Punjabi markets like seasoned newsroom ninjas.

    In the Hindi segment, ABP News surged ahead with 75.7 million unique visitors, outshining its nearest rival by over 18 million, a staggering lead that cements its top slot in India’s most competitive news space.

    ABP Ananda waltzed through the Bengali market with 18.9 million UVs, dancing 11.8 million steps ahead of the competition. Meanwhile, ABP Majha proved its mettle in Marathi with 19.2 million visitors, comfortably ahead of Sakal Media and Lokmat.

    Over in Gujarat, ABP Asmita swept up 5.3 million unique visitors, leaving behind TV9 Gujarati, Divyabhaskar, and News18 Gujarati. ABP Sanjha flexed its Punjabi muscle with 1.2 million UVs, clinching the top spot ahead of News18 Punjab and Punjab Kesari Jagbani.

    And in the Tamil market, newcomer ABP Nadu made a statement, grabbing second place with 9 million visitors, becoming the youngest publisher to break into the leadership ranks.

    IndiaDotcom Digital ropes in Nirmal Shah as revenue head

    MUMBAI: Zee Media offshoot IndiaDotcom Digital has roped in Nirmal Shah as its revenue head – digital. IndiaDotcom – (formerly Zee Digital) has around 34 digital properties as part of its portfolio. Shah will be responsible for the revenues of ZeeNews.com, Dnaindia.com, Techlusive, India.com, Bollywoodlife, and Healthsite.com. 

    Shah has around a score of years of experience on his CV. His last posting was as sales head of FanCode where he worked on  selling sponsorships and ad sales across a bouquet of sports.

    Prior to that he was employed at SonyLiv for five years as national sales head. His other stints were at Network18 Mobile, Sify  Technologies, Hindustan Times.com, and CIOL.com.

    Mumbai: In the recent Comscore rankings across all CTV environments in the general news and news/information category for the month of August’22, India Today Group claimed the top spot by a huge margin.

    The CTV total video figure for the media conglomerate stood at 45.1 million video streams. The fact that the group’s leadership score trails TV9 Network, Zee Digital, ABP Network, & Network 18 and demonstrates that India Today is the nation’s most followed news broadcaster even when it comes to connected devices, as per the Comscore VMX Device Level CTV report.

    Comscore Video Metrix is a multi-platform rating institution that provides video audience measurement across digital content and advertisements, revealing audience size, reach, engagement, and demographic composition.

    Comscore: India Today Group leads in digital video general news publisher with highest reach

    MUMBAI : Comscore’s Video Metrix data for August 2022 has reported the list of highest reach amongst general news publishers. India Today Group tops the list with 106 million viewers, followed by Zee Digital (98 million), ABP Network (80 million) and Network 18 (78 million).

    India Today Group’s consistency in covering and broadcasting matters of national and global importance in a rigorous manner backed by a battery of stellar journalists and ground-reporters has earned it its place of pride in the national digital video publishing space.

    According to Comscore, India Today Group has the highest reach amongst the list of streaming video providers in the news and information category, with 106 million viewers, leaving behind Times Internet (82 million), Network 18 (78 million), ABP News @Youtube (76 million) and TV9 Network (71 million).

    The numbers released by Comscore leave behind competitor offerings by a huge margin in the video reach race and once more place the group at the top spot.

    Mumbai: Zee Group’s digital media publishing arm, Zee Media Digital, announced the second edition of the MSME National Summit & Awards 2022. The event is scheduled for 27 August 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    After witnessing the enormous success of the first edition of the MSME National Summit and Awards, the second edition aims to be bigger and better. The second edition aims to reinstate the importance of MSMEs for our economy and their role in defining the trajectory of the nation’s development, especially post Covid-19.

    The event will be inaugurated by the minister of state for commerce & industry, government of India, Anupriya Patel, followed by panel discussions on “Smart Manufacturing and Working Capital Issues & Funding for SMEs” by various MSME industry leaders.

    The event will also host leadership talks by IIM Lucknow Incubator director and professor of strategic management Dr. Anadi Saran Pande; and UNCTAD, Empretec India Foundation national director Arnab Chakrabortty.

    Mumbai: Zee Digital saw 72.01 million unique visitors since December 2021, as per data by Comscore MMX multi-platform. The upward trend began since the media company initiated its opinion poll before the election season.

    “Zee News Hindi website overtook its competitors Navbharat Times, ABP Live Hindi, and Aajtak significantly,” said the statement.

    “It is indeed a great achievement for us, and we will continue with this momentum,” said Zee News editor and India.com CCO Rajnish Ahuja. “We have kept our focus on catering to all the needs of our audience and becoming the one-stop-most-trusted Hindi news website. This position fuels our ambitions further, and we hope to continue with the same momentum.”

    Zee Digital head of digital sales Shridhar Mishra said their objective was to understand the audience. “Our consistent and constant investment in bettering the technology, content and marketing have been steps in that direction. Our position as per Comscore is just a demonstration of that. We are grateful to our partners and the audience for the faith they have shown in our brand,” he further said.

    India Today Group is India’s No.1 video news publisher as per latest Comscore reports

    KOLKATA: In the latest Comscore video metrix report, the India Today Group has consolidated its position and emerged as India’s No. 1 digital news media group, restating the profound trust of viewers in the brand. The group has now become No. 1 on Comscore Video Metrix score with over 883 million video views. The nearest competitor stands at 483 million video views.

    India Today is now the undisputed leader in all the three important metrics of reach, video views and total minutes watched. The month of March saw Covid wave 2 gripping the country and election campaigns kickstarting across West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry. At this critical phase of the country, the India Today Group has emerged as the digital destination of trust for the citizens.

    With over 92 Million Unique video viewers, the group leads with a margin of around 25 Million Unique video viewers over the next news network. The group is double the video views of ABP Group and leaves behind many groups like Network 18, Times Internet, Zee Digital and NDTV.

    The group has also reported a growth of close to 70 Million video views over the previous month, highlighting the fact that when it comes to ‘News That Matters’, the choice of the Digital Consumer is clearly the India Today Group.

    MUMBAI: For the first time, Zee Digital breached the 100-million unique monthly users mark in comScore India ranking in the month of September 2019. The latest comScore report placed Zee Digital ahead of many leading networks on the basis of unique users under the news and information category in India.

    Over the past five months, Zee Digital has witnessed a marked absolute growth of 55% in its total unique monthly users which is the second-highest in terms of performance among the top media groups in the country. The largest contributors to this growth have been India.com, Zee News Sites and Zee Business each of which have grown by 147%, 87% and 83% respectively during the same period.

    Zee Group's CEO, Digital Publishing, Rohit Chadda said, “We aim to be the top digital destination across India and bringing the country together through content across categories, regions and languages. The reach of 100 million users only get us a step closer in achieving this vision. We shall continue to focus on further improving our products to provide the best user experience to our consumers.”
