The popular host of Jeremy Wade’s Mighty Rivers, will also provide a special feature on the increasing pollution levels of the Amazon, Ganges, Yangtze, Mississippi, Danube, and the Zambezi river networks that will be an added attraction on the channels.

    Wild Karnataka

Karnataka is the home to some of the richest wild places on the planet and boasts of rich biodiversity, most of it still unknown to the public. The film also appreciates the efforts of people, the government, and the forest department who are committed to saving nature for future generations to marvel at.

The movie spotlights the state government’s initiative called The Tiger Foundation of Karnataka Forest Department (TFKFD), as a crusade to save the majestic tigers and elephants found more abundantly here than anywhere else in India. The money raised through the show was donated to the TFKFD. The documentary sends a message of hope, not just across India but the whole world. Leading film stars lent their voice over for the narrative in the documentary in different languages. Sir David Attenborough narrates the English segment; Rajkumar Rao does the voice-over in Hindi, Prakash Raj in Telugu and Tamil, and Rishab Shetty in Kannada.

    The Story of Plastics

The documentary focuses on the timeline of the growing plastic pollution crisis. It exposes the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the fallaciously recommended solution of plastic recycling. It also highlights the excessive environmental damage that it causes along with the human rights abuse that occurs in the industry throughout the production of plastic products.

    India 2050

This documentary gives us a glimpse into the potential damage climatic change can bring upon us in the future if we do not take responsible steps to safeguard our environment today. The documentary feature articulates the potential danger of uncontrolled environmental degradation and serves as a much-needed wake-up call. This world environment day, India 2050 will urge every Indian to take the first step to become a responsible citizen.

    Jeremy Wade’s Mighty River Monsters

In this new, six-part series, Jeremy sets out to examine and explore some of the planet’s largest waterways with the same immersive style that made Jeremy Wade’s Mighty River Monsters a global success. He’ll be taking the pulse of the Amazon, the Ganges, the Yangtze, the Mississippi, the Danube, and the Zambezi to understand how exploitation and pollution contribute to the ruin of rivers that were once the lifeblood of communities and home to majestic freshwater giants.

    Great Global Clean-up

The show focuses on people from across the world who got together in clean-up drives in parks and beaches at an event called the “Great Global Clean-up”. It features Zac Efron and Zach King with local superstars and people from across the world who lent a helping hand to clean as much waste as possible, setting a target to collect a hundred billion pieces of trash from public places across the world.

Luminous & 82.5 Instil Hope on World Environment Day

MUMBAI:   On World Environment Day, Luminous wanted to play a little part in restoring belief in a better future, as individuals and as a collective. Through this video, Luminous & 82.5 Communications are trying to change people’s perspectives in a simple yet thought provoking manner.

In the past couple of months, we have seen bits and pieces of the natural world revert to its original pristine state of being. This has been a reassurance that indeed it is possible to reverse some of the damage humans have done to the environment and its biodiversity over the centuries.

However, what was needed was to undo the hopelessness in people’s attitudes towards saving the environment

82.5 Communications chairman and chief creative officer Sumanto Chattopadhyay said, “We thought it apt to use the device of ’reverse poetry’ to spread the message of reversing the damage we have caused to our planet. This message is more relevant than ever this year as we have experienced both the ill-effects of  ‘disturbing nature’ as well as proof of how quickly it regenerates when left in peace."

82.5 Communications North group CD Preeta Mathur added, “As a writer, it was lovely to take on the challenge of writing reverse poetry to convey the message that there is still hope for Mother Earth – if we pledge to reverse the damage now.”

82.5 Communications president North Chandana Agarwal,  “The proposition for this creative is not just in the message, but in the execution too. That’s the pleasure of working with clients like Luminous who always give us briefs that allows us to push ourselves.”

MUMBAI: World Environment Day – 2018 is going to be special as India is hosting global celebrations of the event today. To commemorate the occasion, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has launched a special T-shirt, branded ‘The Earth Tee’ and designed by renowned fashion designer Anita Dongre, under its unique programme – ‘Fashion for Earth’.

The idea is to nudge people to switch to fashion that not only enhances aesthetics but also help conserve the environment and our planet.

During the launch of R|Elan™, at the IMG Reliance’s Lakme Fashion Week in January 2018, RIL collected post-consumer (used) PET bottles from the venue – Jio Garden at the BKC. Those have since been processed, recycled and converted into R|Elan™ GreenGold fabrics – one of the greenest fabrics using which Anita Dongre has designed and created the elegant ‘The Earth Tee’.

This limited edition ‘The Earth Tee’ has been presented to celebrities, selected by IMG Reliance & Anita Dongre, to join the ‘Fashion for Earth’ movement and spot ‘The Earth Tee’ initiatives.

RIL a leader in sustainable business development is focusing on promoting the concept of Circular Economy. Earlier this year, at the Lakmé Fashion Week, incidentally – at the same time that R|Elan™ fabrics was launched with Anita Dongre as a design partner – RIL’s R|Elan has launched ‘Fashion for Earth’ an ongoing program to drive awareness pertaining to sustainable fabrics, fashion & living.

The Earth Tee is the latest initiatives from this program to commemorate the ‘World Environment Day’.

“Reliance is committed to ensure environmentally sustainable and responsible operations to achieve highest standards of excellence. The ‘Fashion for Earth’ is our endeavour to make people participate in our efforts to conserve environment and the planet. The Earth Tee, designed by Anita Dongre, depicts the new paradigm of environmentally responsible fashion. The initiative is launched to celebrate the initiation of this long-term relationship, as we decided to jointly promote The Earth Tee with Anita Dongre and Lakmé Fashion Week as partners”, a RIL spokesperson said.

Reliance Industries, the owner of brand R|Elan, is one of the largest recycler of PET bottles in India, recycling 2.2 billion PET bottles a year.

The R|Elan GreenGold, made from recycled PET, substantially reduces the emission of greenhouse gases, and cuts down on water usage as well. The fabric is made from pre-dyed fibres that doesn’t require much water. Whatever little water is required, 90% of it is recycled.

RIL is the only company in the world that has built a complete circle – right from creation of PET Resin for bottles, and collection of discarded bottles to converting them to Recron GreenGold eco-friendly polyester fibre, which in turn is converted to R|Elan GreenGold fabric for the manufacture of high-fashion apparels.
