MUMBAI: The otherwise low profile Tata Teleservices head of media, Anjali Kasbekar is in the news. And for all the good reasons. Kasbekar, a long-standing professional in the media business, has recently won the Whirlpool Women’s Achiever Award 2005 in the corporate category.
The decision was based on a research study carried out by Eikona, a division of TAM Media.
Speaking to Indiantelevision.com, a buoyant Kasbekar said, “It feels great to have achieved this award and I was certainly not expecting it. The likes of Sheila Dixit, Sania Mirza and Kiran Bedi have achieved this award and its a great feeling. I am not a person that the media talks about. I am a quite worker and hence this award means that much more to me.”
