    MUMBAI: Business channel CNBC TV18 held an event ‘Managing India Brainstorm VII’, in association with Sun Microsystems and Wipro Infotech at Taj Westend, Bangalore today.

    The seminar brought together the leading minds from diverse streams of the industry.
     
    The panel of speakers, moderated by CNBC-TV18’s Raghav Bahl, comprised vice chairman and MD of ABB Ravi Uppal, vice chairman and MD of Philips India K Ramachandran; chairman and MD of Indian Bank Ranjana Kumar; CEO of CRISIL Ravi Mohan, and senior editor of The Economic Times Narendra Pani, among others. The brainstorm session focused on ‘Is India Inc ready to invest again?”

    Among the topics discussed in the sessions were: Is India Inc really feeling confident?, Do CEO’s feel they have got a clear grip on their businesses vis-?-vis the globalize scenario?, Have companies got rid of the vestiges of the past?, Do we need to add more manufacturing capacity?, and Is India Inc now clear about where they stand in the globalize order?

    The event draws its conceptual inspiration from Managing India, the half-hour weekly programme on CNBC India that showcases India’s super achievers, business leaders and corporate chieftains for a discussion on strategy, vision and leadership and to share their perspectives.

    CNBC announces Managing India Brainstorm 5

    MUMBAI: ‘Barriers to Economic Growth’ and strategic thought on how the hurdles to India’s economic growth can be surmounted will be the spotlight issues discussed in the forthcoming fifth session of CNBC India’s Managing India Brainstorm (MIB) forum.

    CNBC India, in partnership with Wipro Infotech and Sun Microsystems will host the corporate forum at the Taj Mahal Hotel in south Mumbai on 4 October.

    MIB – V will provide a platform to identify problem areas, bridging the gap between policy and on-ground realities. The other topics to be discussed include public-private partnerships and collaboration between the corporate sector and state governments to create and drive growth and the development of a blueprint for growth in the present environment. This executive forum aims to create a balance and comprehensive view of the state of India’s industry and economy and concomitant issues, an official release states.

    Brainstorm, a confluence of the best minds from diverse streams of industry and business will feature Chattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi, Godrej group chairman Adi Godrej, Hero Honda chief executive officer Pawan Munjal, Larsen & Toubro chief executive officer and managing director A M Naik, Shell India chairman Vikram Singh Mehta, Cummins chairman Ravi Venkatesan and SCI chief managing director P K Srivsatava as initiators.
