    MUMBAI: Jaganathan Chelliah has concluded his 11-year association with Western Digital, ending a period marked by significant marketing achievements. His tenure, including a recent consulting phase, saw him drive substantial growth and innovation within the company.

    Chelliah acknowledged the mentorship he received from senior leaders, including Nigel Edwards and Greg Kwolek, crediting them with empowering his ambitious goals. He highlighted strong partnerships with sales teams across India, the Middle East, Turkey, Israel, and Africa, emphasizing the collaborative success between marketing and sales.

    His leadership of the IMEA regional marketing team delivered consistent brand leadership, innovative campaigns, and strategic growth initiatives. He praised his team’s performance, citing their numerous awards and recognitions, and acknowledged their contributions to setting new industry benchmarks.

    A key achievement was the establishment of the Global Creative Development Hub in India, a project realized after five years of effort. He thanked Ravi Pendekanti, Brian Mallari, and Scott Jackson for their support in bringing the hub to fruition.

    Chelliah also recognized the early career support from Rajesh Gupta and Gopal Swaminathan.
    Looking forward, Chelliah indicated a potential focus on AI, noting the dynamic state of the technology sector. He stated he will take time for reflection before announcing his next steps.

    Mumbai: Western Digital has partnered with Red Chillies Entertainment as the official storage partner for the film ‘Jawan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance).

    The Jawan team trusted the premium and pro-grade storage solutions from SanDisk Professional brand for editing, post-production, and backup needs of this exciting action thriller.  With the help of SanDisk Professional products, the filmmakers efficiently handled an enormous amount of data—over thousand terabytes—with remarkable ease and dependability.

    MUMBAI: Digital Cinema Show 2006, organised by Saicom Trade Fairs & Exhibitions got underway in Mumbai today. The three day trade show is packaged with an exhibition, conferences and film screenings.

    This year’s conference topics range from the Cost effectiveness of digital cinema to Animation for digital cinema. Panel discussions and analyses on topics such as Digital Intermediate Film Production, Releasing digital films through satellites, Creating storage for digital cinema at reasonable cost, Digital films from script to screen, Distribution and Exhibition of digital movies and Digital cinema technology from production to post production also feature the three-day line up.

    The show as well as the conference has exhibits and speakers from around the world and India. The sponsors for this year’s event include JVC and Panasonic of Japan, Quantel and Western Digital of UK, Digital Film Systems of Ireland and AGIV India.

    Mumbai to host Digital Cinema Show

    MUMBAI: A Digital Cinema Show is being organised by Saicom Trade Fairs & Exhibitions from 26 May to 28 May at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai from 11 am to 7.00 pm. The show consists of an exhibition, conferences and film screenings.

    The show as well as the conference will have exhibits and speakers from all over the world and India and is sponsored by JVC and Panasonic of Japan, Quantel and Western Digital of UK, Digital Film Systems of Ireland and AGIV India, states an official release.

    The purpose behind the event is to make the producers, directors and technicians of the film industry aware of the digital technology and the method of making films from script to screen using this latest trend. It is a free entry show for the technicians as well as producers and directors of the film and television industry, adds the release.

    There are at least two dozen films being made in India using high definition digital format out of which 16 are being made in Mumbai itself and rest of them in Hyderabad and Chennai.
