The streaming service announced the series by unveiling its trailer, filled with a gamut of emotions. Exploring new dimensions of love and highlighting the power of a brotherly bond, it will take the audience on an emotionally charged journey, with two polar opposite brothers who find strength in each other. Starring Badri Chavan and Chinmay Chandraunshuh in the lead roles, the 5-episode series is produced by The Screen Patti and will stream exclusively from 5 January on Amazon miniTV for free.

    Mera Bhai chronicles the story of two brothers, Bittu and Sittu, capturing the dynamics of their relationship and their journey amid the daily hustles faced by their family. The trailer gives a sneak peek into their love-hate relationship, which evolves with each incident. Highlighting the unbreakable bond of siblings, the series depicts the free-spiritedness of the younger brother, Sittu, along with the simplicity and maturity of the elder brother, Bittu.     Mumbai: Amazon miniTV, Amazon’s free streaming service, recently released its first patriotic movie, Rakshak: India’s Braves: Chapter 1, the first instalment of a three-part movie series. The film has garnered abundant acclaim and admiration from viewers across India. Rakshak – Indian’s Braves weaves a story of bravery and sacrifice, followed by Lieutenant Triveni Singh bravely preventing a terror attack at the Jammu Tawi railway station and saving the lives of innocent people.  Featuring Varun Mitra as the lead, the film also features Kanika Mann, essaying the character of Mala, who was slated to get married to Lt. Triveni Singh.

    Furthermore, Kanika outlined the epoch-making elements of the patriotic film that would pique every viewer’s interest. “I feel the rawness of the film, the characters, the emotions shown, and of course, the incident which took place in 2004, will keep the people hooked to the screens.  I feel like us, so many people didn’t know about this incident, and it needs to be known,” she concluded.

    While MX Player was awarded the Best OTT Platform, Prakash Jha was awarded the Best Director for web-series Aashram and Chandan Roy Sanyal was given the Best Supporting Actor Award for his portrayal as Bhopa Swami in Aashram. 

    Operating on an ad-supported model, MX Player has a large and diverse audience base in India and a global reach of 33+ markets and a keen understanding of the pulse of the audience. It has recently launched several record-breaking web-series like Aashram, Bhaukaal Matsya Kaand, Samantar, High and Campus Diaries.

    The show is set for launch on 9 July 2022. The first episode features renowned fashion designers Rina Dhaka and Anjul Bhandari in conversation with iTV Network senior executive editor Priya Sahgal.

    Sharing insight on the show, Priya Sahgal says “We Women Want is a show for women and by women where you will be a part of some intense conversations as our panellists talk about issues that every woman faces at some point or the other. We will talk about not just the success stories but also the everyday struggles that try to defy us but end up defining us.”

    In the first episode, fashion designer Rina Dhaka shares glimpses of her personal & professional life, and how she fought cancer as a working mother. Rina said, “Cancer as a disease isn’t a hassle, but the treatment is the biggest shock. Mentally it’s a lot of work because you’re really in the fear of death.” Part of the fashion industry since the 80s, Rina Dhaka gets candid about her struggle to make a mark internationally and the guilt, regrets and successes of a career woman.

    Anjul Bhandari may be the new kid on the block, but she has carved an enviable niche. She dropped out of school in class 10 to get married and went on to dress the biggest stars of Bollywood & starry-eyed brides. Drawing from her life experience, Anjul said, “we must remember that women are ‘Agni Stree.’ Each woman by default knows how to balance everything at once.”

    We Women Want will be a dedicated multi-media service for the modern Indian woman, including guidance & P2P learning, career counselling for young women, forum to address FAQs on higher education, careers, finance planning, preliminary legal advice, health, and marriage.

    The show will air every Saturday at 7:30 p.m on NewsX & 3:30 p.m on India News. The program will also be streamed live on various OTT platforms including Dailyhunt, Zee5, MX Player, ShemarooMe, Watcho, Mzaalo, Jio TV, Tata Play and PayTm livestreams.
