  • Manas Mishra moves to Vizeum

    MUMBAI: Aegis‘ Vizeum India has appointed Manas Mishra as executive vice president and national strategy director.

    Mishra moves from Lintas Initiative Media (LIM) where he held the post of president.

    Mishra will be based in Delhi with a national responsibility and will report to Vizeum MD Indian subcontinent S Yesudas.

    Yesudas said, “I had the pleasure of working with Manas when I was looking after Initiative Media. Vizeum is at an interesting juncture in its journey. Manas brings on board all that‘s needed for its future growth.”

    Mishra said, “Aegis Media overall and Vizeum in particular have had a dream run in 2012. What attracted me to Vizeum is the determination with which the company has been built from scratch as well the faith of clients.”

    Mishra held various positions during his 18 years of media career in agencies like Contract Advertising, Initiative Media, Mudra Max and Starcom China. He joined LIM in 2012 to replace Sudha Natrajan when she left the agency to start her media venture The Media Cafe.

  • Aegis Media acquires Japan’s performance marketing and search agency Hablar

    MUMBAI: Aegis Group plc has acquired Japan-based performance marketing and search agency Hablar as it seeks to increase its digital profile and capability.

    Hablar will be merged into iProspect Japan‘s existing operations, strengthening its capabilities and providing additional service for its clients.

    Tokyo-based Hablar is a specialist performance marketing agency whose focus is on search marketing and digital performance media. Established in 2003, Tokyo-based Hablar has built a fast growing business in this important sector for clients, including a long partnership with Aegis Media in Japan.

    Aegis Media Japan comprises iProspect, a search and performance marketing agency; Carat, an independent media communications specialist; Vizeum; and Isobar.

  • Vizeum wins OML Entertainment’s media biz

    MUMBAI: Only Much Louder (OML) Entertainment, the music, live events and youth media company, has appointed Vizeum as its media AoR.

    Vizeum will handle the business out of its Mumbai office.

    Former Bindass business head Keith Alphonso had joined OML as revenue head in August.

  • Vizeum bags Akshaya’s media mandate

    MUMBAI: Aegis Media‘s media planning and buying agency Vizeum has been appointed as the media AoR for real estate player Akshaya.

    The account will be handled out of agency‘s Chennai office.

    Akhshaya is Vizeum‘s third account win within a week. The agency had recently won media accounts of CRI Pumps and DeOleo last week.

  • DeOleo brings Vizeum on board as media partner

    MUMBAI: DeOleo, the maker of Figaro olive oil brand, has awarded its media duties to Aegis‘ Vizeum India.

    Vizeum‘s responsibility will be to strategise the media plan in a way that the relevant consumers are exposed to the communication in an impactful manner.

    DeOleo marketing director – emerging consumer markets Jeroen Floris said, “We have a relationship with Vizeum in some of the world markets. Vizeum India has its own established credentials as well for us to entrust them with our marketing resources. We look forward to working with Vizeum to take our existing brands to greater heights as well as launch newer ones as appropriate.”

    Vizeum managing director – Indian subcontinent S Yesudas said, “We are delighted with the news of DeOleo expanding the relationship horizons with Vizeum. This business will be handled out of our Mumbai office.”

    The agency announced on 11 September that it has won the media business for C.R.I. Pumps, a new entrant in the Coimbatore market making the DeOleo win its second triumph in the week.

    DeOelo is a global food company, headquartered at Madrid in Spain with brands like Carbonell (olive oil and table olives). In India, the company is present through its olive oil brand Figaro.

    Vizeum bags Fruitnik & Amrutanjan Care media biz

    MUMBAI: Amrutanjan Limited has awarded Vizeum as the media agency for its brands Amrutanjan Care (specialised centre for pain management), Fruitnik (company‘s foray into the beverages business through an acquisition) and other planned new launches.

    Amrutanjan vice president and head marketing for the beverage division K N Srikanta said, “We have had a fantastic relationship with Vizeum. They have been instrumental in our launch strategy and will play a vital role in our growth strategy too. We are looking forward to working with Vizeum.”

  • Ankur Bhartiya to join Vizeum as EVP

    MUMBAI: Lintas Initiative SVP Ankur Bhartiya has decided to move on from the agency to join Vizeum India as EVP. According to industry sources, Bhartiya is currently serving his notice period at Lintas Initiative and will be joining Vizeum in the first week of August.

    Bhartiya started his career in 1997 when he joined the erstwhile Mudra Communications as a media trainee. He then took up the same profile at TBWA Anthem in 1998, before joining Ogilvy&Mather in October 2008. In 2002, he joined Mindshare as media manager. He joined Lintas Initiative in 2003 as senior vice president.

    In the course of his career, Bhartiya has worked closely with brands across sectors like automobile industry, consumer electronics and travel portals. Some of the brands he has been associated with include JK Tyres, American Express and Dabur Amla Hair Oil.

  • Vizeum bags Dalmia Bharat Group’s media account

    MUMBAI: The Dalmia Bharat Group, which has interests in diverse business verticals, has appointed Aegis Media‘s Vizeum as its media AoR.

    The agency will handle the account out of its Delhi and Chennai offices.

    Vizeum also has the media account of Dalmia Group‘s cement business, which it services out of its Chennai office.

    Dalmia Bharat Group executive director group marketing and corporate communications B K Singh said, “It was a natural choice given our satisfactory partnership in cement business that we didn‘t need to look beyond Vizeum for the media duties of the group. They have had a proven track record with Dalmia Cement. The team is proactive, extremely passionate and provides a good balance of thinking and doing.”

  • Leather retailer Veev appoints Vizeum as media AoR

    MUMBAI: Srivathsa Industries-promoted Veev has appointed Aegis Media’s Vizeum India as its media AoR.

    The appointment comes as a part of the Chennai-based Veev’s plans to ramp up its retail presence in the country.

    Veev offers leather goods that include luxury handbags and clutches.

    Veev CEO Prakash Venkatesan said “We are delighted to partner Vizeum as we focus on building our retail presence. We had strong referrals of Vizeum. Once we met them, we realised why they enjoyed such equity. We look forward to working with them and wish them the very best.”

    MUMBAI: Business news channel BloombergUTV has appointed Aegis Media‘s Vizeum India as the media AoR.
