Colors Marathi promotes new show with ‘Project KYC- Know Your Child’ study

Mumbai: Marathi entertainment channel Colors Marathi recently added a new show “Aai – Mayecha Kawach” to its content repertoire. As an extension of its marketing activity for the show, the channel conducted a research called ‘Project KYC- Know Your Child’ in Maharashtra and different metro and non-metro pockets including Mumbai, Pune, Akola, Kolhapur, Solapur, Mumbai, and Thane region.

The show depicts the relationship between a single mother and her daughter, and their journey of getting to know each other. Conducted by Sixth Sense Global, the research provides a comprehensive overview of the Maharashtrian parent-child relationship. With its in-depth analysis of parameters such as parent-child trust, communication and financial needs, it will serve as a guide for marketers and custodians alike, said the channel in a statement.

The study was conducted across regions to understand the behavioral pattern of different demographics- boys vs girls, metro vs non-metro, and below 18 vs above.

“2021 is a year which changed many things on the personal and professional front of many people, and this has also led to many changes in relationships. This research will help us add value on the creative front,” said Colors Marathi business head Aniket Joshi. “Parent and teen relations are ever-changing, and this research will help in the long run for show messaging and will help the brand to develop strong bonding with audience.”

“We all know one of the purest bonds in this universe is that of a mother-child. However, in today’s world, we see that this bond is rapidly changing, whether it is between a mother and a son or a mother and a daughter. This shift can be attributed to a variety of factors in our society. As a parent or a child, we never noticed this problem or what is missing in the relationship,” stated Colors Marathi programming head Viraj Raje. “To study this most important aspect of the parent-child relationship, Colors Marathi conducted a KYC study across Maharashtra for the first time. It will also help us on the creative front.”
