The show revolves around Maanyta, a young woman aspiring to emulate the success of Manubhai Sanghani, her idol, inspiration, and guru. However, in our society, business is still perceived as unsuitable for women. Nonetheless, Maanyta, driven by her strong beliefs and dreams, is determined to debunk this myth and realize her goal. This journey traces Maanyta’s transformation from a middle-class girl to a nationally recognized businesswoman. Her life takes a dramatic turn when a tragic incident disrupts her world, leading her and her family to relocate to Ahmedabad. Vidhi Furiya portrays the role of Maanyta, Mitesh Moga takes on the character of Dhanraj Kashyap, and the well-known and beloved Rajendra Chawla portrays the role of Maanyta’s father, Chandubhai Virani.

    Colors Gujarati to premiere a new show ‘Jode Rehjo Raaj’

    Mumbai: Colors Gujarati is all set to launch its new show Jode Rehjo Raaj – Sharto Lagu. The storyline of the show traces the journey of two individuals whose paths cross each other and they come together bound by conditions.

    Produced by Y Star Cine & Television Jode Rejo Raaj will premiere on 6 June 2022, Monday to Saturday at 7.00 pm.

    The show revolves around Aliya, who is not good at studies but somehow manages to get a job in one of the famous companies and then begins an interesting and humorous journey of errors, played by Toral Trivedi, as she enters the corporate world. In this journey, she meets Aryan, played by Akshay Pandya, who is the CEO of the company. He is self-centered and is as tough as coconut, but is soft-hearted. What binds them together is their secret which only the two are aware of and they plunge into a relationship with each other based purely on conditions. Will love blossom when it’s based only on conditions? What has a destiny in store for them? Or will the conditional love change to unconditional love for each other?

    Colors Gujarati adds kids’ shows to its programming lineup

    Mumbai: Colors Gujarati has added the kids’ shows “Motu Patlu” and “Gattu Battu” and mythological show “Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran” to its programming. 

    Starting from 7 February onwards, “Motu Patlu” will air at 5 p.m, “Gattu Battu” will air at 5.30 p.m and “Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran” will air at 6 p.m, respectively.

    “After the success of our fiction shows we are glad to bring some of the finest properties from our own network in our own language,” said Colors Gujarati business head Vipul Nagar. “Kids are a key viewership segment on television, and we hope it will grow stronger in times to come. Both ‘Motu Patlu’ and ‘Gattu Battu’ are already popular amongst kids and bringing them along with Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran in our own language will only enhance our commitment towards the Gujarati audience.”

    “Motu Patlu” is the story of two friends and their daily activities. The show focuses on the two landing themselves in trouble and then being rescued only by sheer luck. The show has been immensely popular amongst kids from the day it started. “Gattu Battu” showcases the story of two friends Gattu and Battu who run a detective and security agency and how together they fight against the enemy.  In “Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran,” Lord Krishna takes it upon himself to explain texts from the ancient and fabled Srimad Bhagwat with Radha, sacred in Hinduism, which offers mankind profound spiritual knowledge.

    Mumbai: Colors Gujarati has announced the launch of its new show titled “Sorath Ni Mrs Singham.” Premiering on 21 January, the show will air every Monday to Saturday at 9 p.m.

    “Sorath Ni Mrs Singham” is the story of Harshvardhan Rathod – a progressive IPS officer, who supports women’s rights and fights social taboos against them, and a bubbly girl Kesar Jadeja. Based in the culturally rich region of Sorath, Harshvardhan is compelled to marry the underage Kesar. The story depicts Kesar’s journey to becoming an IPS officer in order to earn her husband’s love and to restore the honour that was lost due to their illegal marriage.

    Vipul Nagar appointed as Colors Gujarati business head

    Mumbai: Viacom18 has announced the appointment of Vipul Nagar as business head for Colors Gujarati.

    In his new role, Nagar will be responsible for managing the overall business and operations for Colors Gujarati and Colors Gujarati Cinema and report to Viacom18 head of regional entertainment (Bangla, Odia, Tamil and Gujarati clusters) Rajesh Iyer, said the company in a statement on Wednesday.

    Nagar comes with over two decades of industry experience, bringing in extensive knowledge and understanding of the Gujarati content ecosystem, having led programming for Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot at Radio Mirchi. In his most recent role, he was associated with Mirchi Brewery as senior vice president and national solutions director.

    “Gujarat has a vibrant culture which is reflected in the variety of its entertainment landscape. The market has, of late, demonstrated an increasing appetite for homegrown content in the broadcast entertainment space and this provides us with a significant opportunity,” said Rajesh Iyer. “As we look to build our presence amidst both our viewers and advertisers, with Vipul’s rich experience across the media and entertainment value chain, he is well poised to tap into the full potential of the market.”

    In his previous role, Nagar has led teams at Radio Mirchi, Dcube and EAI Education. He has been conferred with the prestigious New York Radio Award, Asia Consumer Engagement Forum Award, India Radio Forum Award, and Golden Mikes for his work. He was also awarded with Safdar Hashmi National Award from UP Sangeet Natak Academy for his contribution in theatre.
