    Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ to release across 3500+ screens in China

    MUMBAI: The Aamir Khan starrer PK, which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is all set to release in China across 3500+ screens on 22 May, 2015.
     

    The Chinese premiere of PK will be held today – 13 May – at the Shanghai Art Center – the biggest theatre in Shanghai. 

     

    Khan’s voice in the Chinese version of the movie has been dubbed by A list Chinese actor Baoqiang Wang, who was appointed by the China Film Group. Wang is the Chinese equivalent of Khan at the movies there and has several box office successes, including Lost in Thailand, the highest grossing Chinese movie ever, to his credit.

     

    The Chinese premiere will be attended by the Chinese Aamir Khan Fan Club (100,000+ members). The Indian Consulate will be present there with their representatives, and 400 odd members from Indian community will also be attending and will be handled by Indian Community association. 

     

    In a bid to promote the film across the media and fans in China, a cross cultural publicity plan has been crafted where Khan, Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and the presenters UTV Motion Pictures, along with international sensation Jackie Chan and Wang will be spreading the buzz around the film in China.

     

    The film, produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association UTV Motion Pictures released worldwide on 19 December, 2014. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput.

    India Games, Aamir Khan launch official mobile game: PK

    MUMBAI: Indiagames, a part of Disney India’s Interactive business, today announced the launch of the official mobile game ‘PK’ based on the most awaited movie of the year. PK, produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with UTV Motion Pictures is slated for a worldwide release on Dec 19th, 2014. This mobile game brings alive the world of ‘PK’ in an adventurous form allowing you to play as the several avatars of Aamir Khan showcased in the movie. Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Raj Kumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director, Disney India and Sameer Ganapathy, VP and Head, Interactive, Disney India launched the game today at the Reliance Digital Store in Juhu amidst much fanfare. Aamir and Anushka showcased their gaming skills by competing with each other.

     

    Developed for both feature phones and smartphones, the game was launched today on Google Play, iOS App store and Windows platform. In the game, the player gets to don many avatars of Aamir Khan as seen in the movie along with a special avatar of Anushka Sharma as he embarks upon an exciting endless running adventure. Set against an Indian background, the gamer will run amidst the by-lanes of Delhi, railway tracks in a desert as seen in the movie and collect maximum number of paans, as PK is seen enjoying eating paan in the movie. The gamer has to avoid a number of obstacles on the way, which includes cows, buses, Delhi trains, rickshaws, traffic jams and more. The various backdrops used in the game will give the player the feel of the actual movie.

Now with the launch of this game, I am sure I’ll be spending a lot of time on playing with my avatar,”  said Anushka Sharma

    PK motion poster 4: Now, Anushka carries the transistor

    MUMBAI: With Aamir Khan making headlines with the PK posters, now it is Anushka Sharma’s turn to ‘wear the transistor’.

    Khan, who plays the title role in the film, took to Twitter to share Sharma’s first PK look. The Jab Tak Hain Jaan actress like Khan, is dressed in khaki, sporting a short hairdo and the transistor slung across. This is the first official look that the makers of the film have released of the actress.

    The motion poster shows five different looks of the beauty along with co-star Aamir Khan.

    Ahead of the release of the poster, Aamir Khan tweeted:, “Babaaaal machney wala hai!!! Jaggu bhi humre jaise tiranjister pahan kar poster ma? Babaaaaal machney wala hai !!!”

    Later with the link of the motion poster, he tweeted, “Ei dekha….. humaar Jaggu…. tiranjister ke saath…“

    Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, PK also stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani among others and is slated to release on December 19. The film is produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with UTV Motion Pictures.

    China laps up Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots

    MUMBAI: Since its release in China two weeks ago, the Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi-starrer 3 Idiots has become a hit in China. The Vidhu Vinod Chopra-directed film was released in China with 900 prints.

    Confirming the same, Vinod Chopra Films (VCF) CEO Sameer Rao said, “Mainland China is the second biggest film market after the US. But it is very difficult to enter because only 20 foreign films can be screened in China in a year. After its success in just two weeks, the VVCF camp has built high hopes that the movie will have a very long run in the Chinese market.”

    “The message in the film has been the pull factor in the film. Such a great response from a non-traditional territory like China is a welcome phenomenon for the Hindi film market,” added Reliance Media Works CEO Anil Arjun.

    MUMBAI: In its quest to find out a screenwriting talent to work with it from among the country‘s vast budding screenwriters, Vinod Chopra Films, makers of Parinda, the Munnabhai series and 3 Idiots has tied up with Talenthouse India for the same.
