    MUMBAI: Delhi’s drama scene is ready to steal the spotlight once again! The Delhi Theatre Festival (DTF) is back for its sixth season, promising a show-stopping celebration of storytelling, stagecraft, and star power. Set to unfold from 14th to 16th November, the festival will light up four iconic venues across Delhi NCR, Siri Fort Auditorium, NCUI Auditorium, OP Jindal Auditorium, and Aurum Conventions in Gurugram.

    With American Express returning as the title sponsor for the sixth consecutive year and M3M India powering the event, DTF Season 6 is shaping up to be a blockbuster on and off stage.     This year’s lineup reads like a who’s who of Indian theatre royalty. Naseeruddin Shah returns with Einstein, Anupam Kher brings Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, and Lillete Dubey and Denzil Smith take the stage with Autobiography. Audiences can also look forward to Rajat Kapoor’s directorial Karamjale Brothers starring Vinay Pathak, Makarand Deshpande’s beloved Sir Sir Sarla, Kumud Mishra’s Dhumrapaan, and Pankaj Kapur’s Dreamz.

    MUMBAI: JioHotstar has plugged in with the trailer for Special Ops Season 2, signalling the electrifying return of Kay Kay Menon as the redoubtable R&AW officer Himmat Singh. This time, the stakes are not just high, they’re sky-high, as the series pivots to a perilous cyber front.

    Created and directed by Neeraj Pandey, who also serves as a writer for the series, alongside Deepak Kingrani and Benazir Ali Fida, the show’s cinematography was handled by Sudheer Palsane, Arvind Singh, and Praveen Kathikuloth.

    Under the keen eye of director Shivam Nair, the new season plunges audiences into a volatile geopolitical skirmish. Wars, it seems, are no longer confined to muddy battlegrounds but are now waged in the digital ether, with the enemy lurking in plain sight. Himmat and his crack squad face a silent, insidious war – one of coordinated cyber breaches that threaten to dismantle national stability without a whisper of warning or a single visible scar. It’s a battle for the very soul of the nation, folks.

    A sterling ensemble cast, including Prakash Raj, Vinay Pathak, Karan Tacker, Saiyami Kher, Muzammil Ibrahim, Gautami Kapoor, Parmeet Sethi, and Kali Prasad Mukherjee, lend their considerable talents, adding layers of intensity to this high-octane narrative.

    The Grand Hyatt Mumbai played host to the grand unveiling, where the full cast mingled with the press. JioStar CMO & head-SVOD Sushant Sreeram, offered a fascinating insight into the streaming giant’s greenlighting philosophy. Addressing the perennial question of audience attachment to characters, Mr Sreeram mused that on-screen personas transcend mere viewing figures, becoming integral to a process. He elaborated, rather pointedly, that audiences seek inspiration, hope, or solace in these journeys, finding reflections of ‘either what we are or what we want to be.’

    While JioHotstar boasts a ‘repertoire’ of ‘best characters’, their true vibrancy, he noted, stems from the collective genius of ‘writing it, to directing it, to the people who actually portray the characters,’ not forgetting the ‘fantastic teams at JioStar’ who bring them to the screen. In essence, he argued, these on-screen figures are but echoes of ‘our close relationships’, promising both familiarity and ‘surprise and, you know, delight’ this season.

    Mumbai: Alchemist Live is bringing back the Delhi Theatre Festival (DTF) for its fifth season, featuring original live performances, notable casts, and classic stories.

    This year, DTF will take place over three days – 20, 21, and 22 September – across four venues in Delhi NCR: Siri Fort Auditorium, Kamani Auditorium, OP Jindal Auditorium, and Orana Convention in Gurugram.

The six-episode drama narrates the tale of two people stemming from different cultures and regions of India, and the manner in which fate brings them together in a very heartwarming and adorable way. The series takes audiences through the life of Vikram and Pui while talking about love, friendships and following their passion. Created by JAR Pictures, starring Paramvir Cheema, Nunui Rualhleng and Vinay Pathak in pivotal roles, the series will stream exclusively on Amazon miniTV within the Amazon Shopping app, on Fire TV and Play Store, for free on 1 December 2023.

Based on the book, Sultan of Delhi: Ascension by Arnab Ray, the series is produced by Reliance Entertainment and directed by ace director, Milan Luthria. Set to release on 13 October 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar, Sultan Of Delhi is set to take you on a journey where life is at stake and power is all you need to change the game in your favour!

    The series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjum Sharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak and Nishant Dahiya in pivotal roles, alongside the supremely talented ladies Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi, and Mehreen Pirzada in key characters.

    Recreating the magic of the vintage era of the 60’s, Sultan Of Delhi follows the story of Arjun Bhatia (Tahir Raj Bhasin), who works with Delhi’s biggest illegal arms dealer, Jagan Seth (Vinay Pathak). In a high-stakes battle for power, Arjun is tested time and again by those around him.     Talking about his character and the show, Tahir Raj Bhasin said, “The journey of portraying Arjun Bhatia proved to be a very exciting multifaceted challenge. Arjun Bhatia serves as the central character of the series who evolves drastically as the narrative unfolds. Playing the graph of this transformation was both compelling and exhilarating. Arjun’s character helped me push my boundaries as an actor in a very different way. It was a constant balance between a physically challenging part that needed stunt and weapons training and a nuanced emotional journey that was unique to his individual relationships with other characters in the script. A very special dynamic was the friendship I developed with Anjumm Shharma. Our chemistry in the series echoes the timeless camaraderie of iconic duos like Jai and Veeru, and I am eagerly anticipating the audience’s response to it.”

I used to often speak to Milan over the phone and rehearse the scenes with him before actually shooting it. Playing the role of Bangali was heart-warming and complex at the same time. Bangali is a friend that one definitely needs in today’s day and age. While shooting, it was crucial to find a correct graph of friendship between Arjun and Bangali and this helped Tahir and me develop a friendly equation and mutual respect off-screen as well.”

    MUMBAI: There’s a saying that goes, "You can't buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream and that is pretty much the same thing.” Meghna (Mona Singh), lived by this thought since childhood. Ice creams weren’t just her favourite dessert but rather a way of life until it all changed one fine day. How? On 10th October – World Mental Health Day, the entire world talks about raising awareness and mobilising efforts in support of mental health. And, keeping this as the key driver, Mona Singh’s character Meghna beautifully captures the issue and creates awareness through a short film titled ‘Lutf’, a unique tale all set to premiere on SonyLIV.

    Directed and written by Pratish R Nair, Lutf stars a powerful ensemble of actors like Mona Singh, Vinay Pathak, Luke Kenny, Usha Nadkarni and Sucharita Tyagi in prominent roles. Keeping ice cream as a metaphor, this 30-minute short film celebrates life in all its nuances and oddities. The film revolves around Meghna Joshi (Mona Singh), a woman and a fear that shadows her life. As she struggles to balance it out with her husband Ravi Joshi and her family, her therapist Dr Vipul Agarwal (Vinay Pathak) enters and adds another twist. Is it a happy ending?     MUMBAI: Celebrating three years of fulfilling the dream of owning accessible mobility, building trust with customers and focusing on their needs, Datsun India launched a new brand campaign called #VoteForChange.

    The campaign’s objective is to disrupt the longstanding conventional wisdom concerning the small car segment. #VoteForChange is an innovative and light-hearted brand campaign which uses elections as a theme to reach out to the people and capture their attention. Elections are periodic opportunities for people to stand up, indicate their choice, and send a strong signal to those at the top. Datsun’s #VoteForChange campaign is a way for people to ‘declare independence’, particularly first-time car buyers, who have long experienced few choices in the small car segment, which has been dominated by major players.

    The Datsun #VoteForChange campaign, with its ‘candidates for change’ manifesto, speaks to Young India’s hunger for transformation and urges them to exercise their right to new choices through a series of planned social activations and innovative storytelling. Datsun believes the Indian small car segment has entered a period of transformation: car buyers want new choices.
