  • Anymind banks on avatars to fast-track brand live streaming

Anymind banks on avatars to fast-track brand live streaming

MUMBAI: Talk about putting your money where your face is. Anymind group is banking on avatars to give live commerce a fresh facelift.

The company has rolled out its new ‘Avatar Bank’ on Anylive, its AI-powered live commerce platform. Think of it as a ready-to-wear wardrobe, but for digital hosts: brands can now dip into a library of pre-made AI avatars instead of spending time and money creating one from scratch.

The appeal? Speed and savings. With avatars off the shelf, brands can launch streams in just a week, making live commerce campaigns quicker, leaner and far less of a production headache. For brands juggling multiple campaigns, that’s as close to plug-and-play as it gets.

Anylive isn’t just about pretty faces either. The platform can deliver content in multiple languages, run streams around the clock, and crunch data from both human and AI-led sessions to help brands fine-tune scripts and performances. The Avatar Bank slips neatly into this ecosystem, letting businesses mix and match, use custom avatars for premium projects, or pick from the bank when speed matters.

Anymind Group, ceo and co-founder, Kosuke Sogo said the feature has already gained traction in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. “This update makes it easier than ever for brands to incorporate AI avatars into their live commerce efforts. We will expand our lineup to give brands more choice, helping them achieve maximum results with minimal effort,” he said.

For a world hungry for faster campaigns, the message is clear: avatars aren’t just virtual, they’re virtually indispensable.

  • Percol brews a fresh chapter in India with CCL’s premium coffee play

Percol brews a fresh chapter in India with CCL’s premium coffee play

MUMBAI: Espresso yourself, India your coffee upgrade has just arrived. In a strategic sip forward, CCL Products (India) Ltd. has launched Percol, the iconic British coffee brand, in the Indian market. Known for its ethical sourcing, premium blends, and sustainability-first approach, Percol’s India debut follows its acquisition by CCL in 2023.

Founded in 1987 by Brian Chapman, Percol was the UK’s first coffee brand to bag Fairtrade certification, long before “conscious consumerism” became a buzzword. Ironically, CCL had been quietly brewing Percol’s instant coffee blends for the UK market for years. So when the brand went up for sale, CCL didn’t just see a business opportunity, it recognised a chance to bring home a flavourful legacy it helped craft.

Now officially under CCL’s belt, Percol is stepping onto Indian shelves with three sophisticated freeze-dried instant blends Intenzo, Da Essenza, and Espresso Noir. Crafted with beans sourced from Colombia, Vietnam, and other global hotspots, each 100g jar promises a deep, complex cup for a discerning audience used to swirling, sipping, and savouring.

“The Indian coffee landscape is evolving rapidly,” said CCL Products (India) Ltd CEO Praveen Jaipuriar. “Percol represents not just premium coffee, but a philosophy that resonates with today’s nuanced consumer, who is particular about the sophistication, depth and value of the products they consume.”

That philosophy also reflects in the packaging think reusable glass jars, metal caps, and matte-finished boxes with embossing and spot-UV flourishes. It’s where aesthetic meets ethic: no plastic, no compromise.

Targeted first at Tier-1 cities in North and West India, Percol’s blends are now available on major e-commerce platforms and select supermarkets. And while it’s starting as instant coffee, this is anything but a quick fix, it’s a carefully brewed invitation to elevate the at-home coffee ritual.

With Percol, CCL isn’t just expanding its portfolio, it’s stirring up India’s premium coffee scene, one conscious cup at a time.

  • Criteo Reseller program Launched to accelerate commerce growth in the asia-pacific region

Criteo Reseller program Launched to accelerate commerce growth in the asia-pacific region

Today at Criteo Exec Connect 2018, Criteo S.A. (NASDAQ: CRTO), the leading commerce marketing technology company, announced the launch and general availability of the Criteo Reseller Program. Developed with the needs of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region in mind, the program allows online marketplaces[1] to resell, Criteo’s best-in-class solution, Criteo Dynamic Retargeting, to merchants or affiliates[2] on their platforms.

Regional eCommerce sales are expected to exceed US$3 trillion and account for more than 25 percent of total regional retail sales by 2021[3]. Across the APAC region, close to 6 in 10 shoppers purchase products on online marketplaces[4]. The program has therefore been designed to help online marketplaces and their merchants maximize their share of this APAC growth opportunity, while delivering seamless and relevant retail experiences to shoppers across all devices and channels.

“In virtually every APAC country, an online marketplace tops the list of eCommerce sites or apps most used by local shoppers. For merchants, participation in an online marketplace has become the most obvious pathway to success,” said Yvonne Chang, Executive Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, Criteo. “Through the Criteo Reseller Program, merchants can now take advantage of Criteo Dynamic Retargeting, within marketplace environments, to re-engage shoppers online. They can control and adjust their ad spends to better connect shoppers with products they need and love – this will boost revenue for themselves, the marketplaces and the economies they are a part of. The program will drive further commerce growth in each country and across the region.”

With access to Criteo’s machine learning technology and open commerce marketing ecosystem, a merchant can now serve personalized product offerings and recommendations to reach, engage and convert shoppers on a larger scale. An online marketplace that empowers increased reach and sales for its merchants will enjoy revenue and higher Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) growth, while reinforcing itself as a valuable sales channel.

The Criteo Reseller Program offers online marketplaces an Application Programming Interface (API) that simplifies campaign management. The technology allows merchants to manage and adjust their own ad spends and Cost-Per-Click (CPC) prices to boost sales under the marketplace’s dynamic retargeting campaign. As a result, online marketplaces do not need to manage ad spends and budgets on behalf of merchants. The marketplace manages the technical integration, with no further technical development required from merchants themselves.

Yahoo! Shopping Japan was an early adopter of the Criteo Reseller Program in early-2016. Within a relatively short period of time, more than 1,800 merchants on the online marketplace saw the value of using dynamic retargeting campaigns to drive traffic to their product pages, thereby increasing Yahoo!’s online marketplace sales by 69 percent.

Criteo Dynamic Retargeting uses machine learning technology to comprehensively understand shopper behavior across devices, browsers and apps. After accurately predicting an individual’s propensity to buy specific products, the technology customizes product recommendations and the ad’s visual design in real-time, driving engagement and compelling the individual to complete a purchase. Criteo’s direct relationships with thousands of premium publishers delivers scale and ensures the best dynamic ad placements across all online channels, so shoppers can be reached and engaged wherever they are online.

“The Criteo Reseller Program paves the way for commerce businesses to define their own growth and future. The program was developed to enhance the power of Criteo Dynamic Retargeting for online marketplaces, merchants and affiliates,” said Patrick Wyatt, Senior Vice President, Product Management, Criteo. “By staying ahead of emerging industry needs and offering industry-leading Criteo Dynamic Retargeting technology through this new program, we are committed to fulfilling our vision of building the highest-performing and open commerce marketing ecosystem.”

At Criteo Exec Connect 2018, the company’s first-ever regional thought leadership and education summit for commerce businesses and digital marketers, the leadership team shared the company’s Commerce Marketing Ecosystem vision, Innovation Roadmap for APAC, as well as Commerce and Online Marketplace Outlook 2018. The Outlook provides valuable insights on voice shopping, data collaboration, connecting online and offline sales, and the impact of the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), among other trends that are expected to shape the industry in the year ahead.

The summit, hosted by Criteo in Da Nang, Vietnam, from 1 to 3 February 2018, was attended by 40 major APAC commerce players, including Lazada, Expedia, The ICONIC, Flipkart and Nykaa.

  • See kid’s success from new aspect: Lego campaign

MUMBAI: Innovation is seen as the key to progress and growth– the elusive spark that ignites the next big thing. And amazing creations and innovations all spark from remarkable imagination. But concerned with academic pursuits, adults might unknowingly stifle the growth of kids’imagination – especially as they apply to education and a very narrow definition of success.

With the launch of the #LegoBuildAmazing campaign, the brand sets out to reframe this emphasis, by highlighting a different route to a child’s success in the world – through the freedom to explore, imagine and create. For 80 years, the Lego Group has been the building block catalyst of a generation’s creativity, and with this new platform, it aims to showcase to parents how nurturing a creative mind could help builders of tomorrow make a mark in the world.

The campaign, which will be rolled out across India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines, is set to be a year-long campaign to reflect the brand’s ongoing commitment to inspire and develop children to think creatively and unleash their future potential for success.

What happens when a child builds with Lego bricks? And what happens when the Lego Group sees the build as a blueprint for creativity that will impact the future? To shine a light on this, the brand took ideas that sprung from kids’pure imagination and turned them into a real, tangible creation.

The event will be in major cities in India in this month, to spark your kids’boundless imagination and take joy in their imaginative creations. Parents can look forward to many fun and exciting activities to promote curiosity and inspire kids to think in new and unconventional ways – including workshops led by adult Lego builders to guide kids in building their very own unique Lego creations.

In addition, parents can snap a picture of their kids’amazing creations, upload onto social media with the event and have the exclusive opportunity to take home Charlie The Chameleon, the lovable campaign mascot.
