    Dentsu’s Abhinav Kaushik joins FCB India as president

    Mumbai: Taproot Dentsu’s former executive vice president & head of office – Delhi & Mumbai, Abhinav Kaushik has joined FCB India as president. Kaushik made the announcement on LinkedIn. Earlier last week he shared the news of his stepping down from his role at Dentsu and moving on, even as he kept everyone guessing as to his next move.

    Kaushik joined Dentsu Marcom in 2013 as vice president in account management. In his nine years at the agency, he handled a gamut of leadership roles at Dentsu, working on many successful brand initiatives and multi-stage integrated campaigns across the funnel for brands like Honda (Honda Cars & Honda Two Wheelers), Dulux, Airtel, Microsoft, Shell, Oppo, Canon, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Nokia, CP Plus, Fast&Up, Jack & Jones, Dainik Bhaskar, and Toshiba.

    Prior to joining Dentsu, he was vice president and client services director at J. Walter Thompson for over six years, where he worked extensively with brands such as Airtel and Sony. Microsoft, GSK, and Pizza Hut. Abhinav began his career at GE Capital before moving on to work for agencies such as Contract Advertising and M&C Saatchi London.

    Previously, he has worked with agencies such as Contract and M&C Saatchi. He started his career in sales and marketing at GE Capital, working on the branding, integrated marketing, planning, strategising, and repositioning exercises for brands such as Airtel, Sony (Bravia, Vaio, Cybershot, Walkman, Handycam), GSK (Boost portfolio), Pizza Hut, Dabur (Real Juices’ portfolio), NIIT, Microsoft, British Airways, Shell, Indian School of Business, Revlon, Godfrey Phillips, and Asian Paints.

    Mahindra Group names Pramuch Goel as VP & head – group comms

    Mumbai: Multinational business conglomerate Mahindra Group on Wednesday announced that it has elevated Pramuch Goel as VP and head – group communications, with immediate effect. He will report to Mahindra Group’s chief customer and brand officer and member of the group executive board Asha Kharga,

    In his previous role, Goel was a strategic communications head for auto and farm sectors. He takes over from Varsha Chainani, who has decided to pursue opportunities outside of the Mahindra Group. “The group communications team and communications heads of businesses will report to Goel,” said the company.

    “Pramuch is an accomplished brand and communications leader who has been part of the Mahindra Group for several years, working and contributing to various businesses.     Mumbai: Ed-tech major Byju’s on Thursday announced the appointment of Mani Bansal and Maneesh Agrawal to lead key technology functions, in an effort towards strengthening its tech vertical and further drive innovative and impactful learning experiences.

    Bansal will take on the role of vice-president – engineering and Agrawal joins as vice-president – reliability, security & cloud engineering. “Both executives will work on a group level towards catalysing critical technologies to augment Byju’s tech prowess and define the future of learning,” said the statement.

With a rich career spanning 20+ years, the Hyderabad-based tech leader is an Amazon veteran, having donned multiple global technology leadership roles in Amazon Prime and Amazon Logistics. “I am thrilled to be joining the Byju’s family and embark upon an exciting new journey of bringing tech-driven learning to students everywhere.     Maneesh Agrawal commands over 22 years of experience with strategic thinking across design, implementation and operational excellence. He will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s reliability engineering, security & cloud engineering. 

    Formerly with Adobe, Olacabs, InMobi, Yahoo and Indiamart where he delivered strategic vision across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS & Cloud efficiency.     Mumbai: Carat India, from the house of dentsu India, has strengthened its leadership team for North and East. The agency has appointed Aruni Panda to lead these regions as vice president – digital.

    In his new role, Panda will lead strategic thinking and oversee agency clients on the digital front, reporting into Carat India CEO Anita Kotwani. He will work closely with the office head of the regions – Carat India executive vice president – planning Dipika Bhasin.  

    Panda brings over 15 years of experience and is an ardent practitioner of ad-tech tools, programmatic media planning & buying, social media & content marketing, digital customer experiences management, customer acquisition and web analytics. Prior to this, he was with GTB (part of WPP’s network of companies) where he held the position of AVP and senior digital media director, handling digital media planning, buying and execution.

    In his previous roles, Panda has been instrumental in helping brands and organisations develop digital marketing ecosystems by an outcome-led planning approach for the brand and the business. He has worked with brands like PepsiCo India and Ford India, to name a few across categories like FMCG, automotive, real estate, entertainment & sports, ISP & connectivity solutions, and IT-enabled executive education & training. Panda has re-positioned businesses as digital-first by setting up business-aligned digital ecosystems. He has also implemented and integrated seamless interplay between ad-tech and mar-tech stacks.

    Mumbai: Wow Skin Science’s former executive Madhur Acharya has joined Lenskart as vice president of e-commerce. 

    Acharya quit the personal care brand as vice president of marketing after a three-year stint. He announced the move in a LinkedIn post.

    “Super stoked to announce my next stint as I join, Lenskart.com the brand that revolutionised the eyewear category in India. Elated to join this community of change-makers as I look forward to building and taking the brand’s vision to various marketplaces in India & International.     In his new role, Patani will be reporting to Cupshup co-founder Sourav Kumar and will be accountable for the overall growth of the agency and will be responsible for client relationship, retention programming, planning expansion strategy and more importantly people & process building across the organisation, said the statement.

    In this role, Mohan will head all categories and brand marketing and work closely with co-founder and CEO Revant Bhate, said the statement.
