    Unibic Foods brings on board Naveen Pandey as CEO

    Mumbai: Unibic Foods on Tuesday announced the appointment of Naveen Pandey as its chief executive officer. He will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and growth journey of the company.

    Pandey comes with over two decades of senior management experience in the Indian FMCG industry. Before joining UNIBIC, he was Marico’s New Foods’ business unit head, where he led the team to launch sub-brands such as Saffola Honey, Saffola Mealmaker and Immuniveda. He had past stints with corporate giants such as PepsiCo and Asian Paints.

    “We believe that the experience Naveen brings to the table would bolster UNIBIC’s already impressive track record of delivering innovative products and help drive the company into a linear growth trajectory,” said Unibic’s chairman of board of directors, Sandeep Reddy. “His extensive background in FMCG should help UNIBIC gain further ground in the dynamic Indian foods industry and drive the organisation towards higher profitability. He will contribute to develop strategic alliances and expand UNIBIC’s presence in India and in international markets.”

This Unibic Daily Digestive campaign features Shilpa Shetty Kundra creating some of her favourite go-to recipes, that are not only tasty but healthy as well. The dishes feature Unibic Daily Digestive Oatmeal cookies and Unibic Daily Digestive Ajwain+ cookies. These cookies are fibre-rich in content, which aids in digestion, ensuring you get your daily dose of nutrition with no compromise on taste.

    Commenting on the collaboration, Aarti Iyer, Marketing Head, Unibic Foods said, “We have partnered with the Bollywood actor, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, in an all new digital campaign series. Two recipes have been curated by Shilpa Shetty that is broadcasted on her YouTube Channel “Shilpa Shetty Kundra”, under the “The Art of Loving Food” section. We have used two of our daily digestive range for this series – Daily Digestive Oatmeal and Daily Digestive Ajwain + cookies. We believe that these packs of cookies with a fibre percentage of 26% and 33% respectively (* as per RDA requirement) could become a daily habit. One video is focusing on young moms and the other is for all those who seek a healthy tasty bite during the day.”

    Unibic launches new campaign with mascot

    MUMBAI: Unibic Foods, India’s ‘real’ cookie production company with one of the largest cookie manufacturing cookie facilities has ramped up its ongoing UBU campaign with some innovative additions.

    The cheerful cookie mascot, who was launched in September 2016, has been seen across TV channels, social media and outdoor campaigns with some engaging messages. UBU, the bearer of more, shares interesting nuggets on various aspects, be it recipe tips on TV or quirky messages in the form of ‘UBUISMs’ on social media. He even gets famous cartoon characters to yearn for Unibic cookies and takes on different avatars to interact with consumers in a fun way. He ups the enthusiasm quotient by cheering sports personalities with special messages.

    The few channels initially selected for the integration include AsiaNet News and Cartoon Network, and UBU has been featured in broadcasts like the FIFA World Cup U-17 and an animation series on the same. Únibic Foods has also been going to schools and promoting the brand as well as UBU with some interesting games and contests where kids have to draw their interpretations of UBU and cookies. This endeavour has received an overwhelming response with multiple entries pouring in.

    UBU was seen during the football broadcast on AsiaNet News, popping up to congratulate the players for the goal of the day, exhorting the viewers to cheer loudly during Ind vs Aus, Ind vs NZ and Ind vs SL cricket matches as well as congratulating the students who were selected to visit NASA. Cartoon Network viewers were also in for a surprise as UBU made some yummy cookies with the help of some iconic cartoon characters.

    Unibic awards media duties to Mindshare

    MUMBAI: Unibic, a renowned name in the cookie industry has awarded its media duties to Mindshare, after a competitive multi-agency pitch. The mandate involves handling the media strategy, planning and implementation across all media in India. The account will be handled out of the Mindshare Bangalore office.

    Unibic is one of India’s largest ‘real’ cookie production company with a range of over 24 variants and an added sugar free segment. It has also just launched its healthy range of biscuits such as Gluten-free, Ragi and 40 per cent Oats. 

    On the new appointment, Unibic Foods managing director Nikhil Sen says, “We were looking for a seasoned and versatile partner who will work towards building our brand and taking it to the next level.
