    TVS Motor wheels out new three-wheelers in Mexico

    MUMBAI: Two and three wheeler maker TVS Motor CO (TVSM)   has driven its TVS King Duramax Plus and TVS King Deluxe Plus three-wheelers into the Mexican market. Both vehicles are designed with car-like features on a three-wheel platform, offering enhanced driver and passenger comfort alongside durable, reliable engines that deliver low ownership costs.

    TVS Motor Co business head Latin America Martin Corsunsky said: “The three-wheeler segment is a great space for us. We have amongst the most advanced engineering and technology and we have years of experience, from all across the globe.”

    The TVS King Duramax Plus features a liquid-cooled 225 cc engine, providing best-in-class power and gradability. Additional features include all-gear-start technology, LED headlamps, tubeless tyres, and ribbed drum brakes. The vehicle offers expanded rear passenger space, driver foot-rest, and twin lockable dashboard storage, complemented by a new signature front grille design.

    Meanwhile, the TVS King Deluxe Plus comes equipped with a 200 cc duralife engine and feather-touch ignition via an i-Touch button. Built on a ladder-type chassis with additional cross beams for safety, it includes a king-size driver seat, extra-large utility box, large foldable mirrors, and tubeless tyres.

    Both models will be available through Motomex, TVS’s official distributor in Mexico, starting March 2025. This launch represents a significant expansion of TVS Motor Company’s presence in Latin America, reinforcing its commitment to providing efficient mobility solutions across global markets.

    TVS Motor Co currently sells its products in more than 80 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.

    Gaurav Gupta rides in as TVS Motor two-wheeler India biz president

    MUMBAI:  Two and three wheeler maker TVS Motor Co, has announced the appointment of Gaurav Gupta as president of its India two-wheeler (ICE and EV) business. Gupta will be based in Bengaluru and report to K.N. Radhakrishnan, director and CEO of TVS Motor Co.

    With over three decades of experience across key markets including India, China, Dubai, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Asean region, Gupta is expected to play a significant role in strengthening the company’s position.

    Said Radhakrishnan: “Gaurav brings valuable experience and expertise to TVS Motor. The company is on a steady growth trajectory, delivering results ahead of the industry. Under his leadership, we are confident of further bolstering our market presence and setting new benchmarks.”

    Before joining TVS Motor, Gupta served at MG Motor India for over six years, holding roles such as deputy managing director and chief growth officer. He was instrumental in establishing the company’s commercial operations in India.

    Gupta has also held leadership roles as managing director of Bridgestone Tire Indonesia and various positions at General Motors across Asia-Pacific, including as managing director of its operations in Indonesia and Vietnam.
    A physics graduate with an MBA, Gupta has a keen interest in travel, technology, philanthropy, and golf.

    TVS Motor launches connected electric three-wheeler, King EV Max

    MUMBAI:  Here’s another player who’s tuk-tuking into the  three wheeler EV segment. Two and three wheeler maker TVS Motor Co has officially launched its new connected passenger electric three-wheeler, the TVS King EV Max on 20 January . The innovative vehicle comes equipped with advanced features such as Bluetooth connectivity through TVS SmartXonnect, addressing the growing demand for sustainable urban mobility.

    At the launch event, TVS Motor Co business head of commercial mobility Rajat Gupta, highlighted the significance of the new introduction. 

    “The TVS King EV Max  represents our commitment to sustainable last-mile connectivity solutions amid rapid urban expansion,” he stated. “With superior comfort and connectivity features, this vehicle is designed to meet the needs of both individual users and fleet operators, ensuring increased earning potential.”

    The TVS King EV Max boasts a remarkable range of 179 kilometers on a single charge and quick recharging capabilities, achieving 80 per cent in just hours and 15 minutes. The electric three-wheeler is powered by a high-performance 51.2V lithium-ion LFP battery, offering a top speed of 60 km/h and a spacious, ergonomic cabin for passenger comfort.

    Initially available in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, and West Bengal, the King EV MAX will soon be rolled out nationwide, priced at Rs 2,95,000 (ex-showroom). It also features a robust six -year or 150,000 km warranty, along with 24/7 roadside assistance for the first three years.
