Battle royale hits prime time as BGMS Season 4 Grand Finals go live

MUMBAI: The battleground has shifted from mobile screens to the big stage, literally. The Oneplus Android Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 4 Grand Finals fire up today at the Nodwin Gaming Arena in Delhi, where 16 of India’s finest esports teams will fight it out across 12 matches from 12–14 September for the championship crown and a cool Rs 1.5 crore prize pool.

This isn’t just another LAN event; it’s India’s only esports tournament with national TV presence, beaming live on Star Sports Khel and JioHotstar from 5 pm to 8 pm. For fans, that means three days of adrenaline-fuelled prime-time action.

The star-studded line-up includes league toppers Revenant Xspark, Team SouL, Gods Reign, and Nonx Esports, who qualified directly, joined by 12 hungry challengers from the semi-finals among them Godlike Esports, K9 Esports, Medal Esports, Phoenix Esports, Nebula Esports, and Sinewy Esports. Phoenix stole the show in the Playoffs with 58 points, while Godlike led the semi-finals with 92, setting up a tantalising clash of momentum and pedigree.

The season has been equally dramatic off the battleground. Oneplus returns as title sponsor and official smartphone partner, Android steps in as co-title sponsor, TVS Motor revs into its third consecutive year, while Red Bull, Swiggy, and Bisleri keep players fuelled. Duolingo English Test makes its debut as official learning partner, and Tesla will showcase its Model Y at the finals because why not add some horsepower to the firepower?

Nodwin Gaming co-founder and MD Akshat Rathee framed it as a milestone moment: “The fact that teams from the BGMI Challenger Series made it to the Grand Finals is proof that our grassroots-to-pro vision is working. Now, it’s time to see the very best of Indian esports on the biggest stage.”

With legacy orgs, rising stars, and the world watching, BGMS Season 4 is more than a tournament, it’s proof that Indian esports has levelled up. The only question is: who will drop in, loot up, and walk away with the crown?

Venu Takes the Wheel as TVS Shifts Gears at the Top

MUMBAI: TVS Motor’s leadership engine just got a new ignition, Sudarshan Venu is in the driver’s seat now. In a landmark move signalling the next chapter in its leadership journey, TVS Motor Company has announced that Sudarshan Venu will take over as chairman and managing director effective August 25, 2025. The company’s board of directors made the decision unanimously, underscoring Venu’s instrumental role in shaping TVS Motor’s strategy and global ambitions over recent years.

Venu, currently serving as managing director, will succeed Ralf Speth, who has opted not to seek reappointment as director at the company’s Annual General Meeting on August 22, 2025. Ralf, the former CEO of Jaguar Land Rover and a seasoned automotive veteran, will officially step down as Chairman at the conclusion of the AGM.

However, this isn’t a full stop, it’s a strategic shift. Ralf will continue his association with TVS as its chief mentor for a three-year term starting 23, August  2025, offering strategic counsel and drawing on his vast experience in automotive leadership.

Expressing his gratitude, Venu said, “I am really honoured and excited for the future. TVS has been built on a foundation of customer centricity, quality, and technology values we must preserve as we reimagine our future. I’m deeply thankful to our chairman emeritus for his vision, and to Ralf for pushing us to think global and act bold.”

The leadership change comes at a time when TVS Motor is expanding aggressively across global markets and investing in next-gen technologies, including electric mobility and connected vehicles. Venu has been central to this transformation, overseeing strategic acquisitions, international collaborations, and product innovations that have given the company new momentum.

Ralf Speth’s stint as chairman was marked by a greater global orientation for TVS, including talent onboarding, enhanced R&D processes, and bold investments in future-ready technologies. In his new role as chief mentor, he is expected to help guide the company’s long-term vision and innovation roadmap.

With this transition, TVS isn’t just changing drivers, it’s fine-tuning for the next lap of growth. And with Venu at the helm and Speth still in the pit lane, the company seems all set to accelerate into its next evolution.

TVS Motor turbocharges its global team with Peyman Kargar at the helm

MUMBAI: Bengaluru has just thrown another spice into the global business curry with TVS Motor Company’s latest executive shuffle. The appointment of Peyman Kargar as head of international business isn’t just another corporate chess move—it’s akin to placing a turbocharger in an already speeding vehicle. Settling in Dubai, Kargar is expected to race through the global markets with the grit of a seasoned rally driver.

With a swagger that could rival any high-flyer’s, Kargar steps into his new role with over three decades of vrooming across the automotive sectors of Europe, Asia, and the middle east. “Peyman’s prolific global leadership experience and expertise will add significant value to the company,” declared TVS Motor Company director & CEO K.N. Radhakrishnan.

Having previously chaired the luxury skids as Infiniti global chairman & president, and having steered Nissan’s Datsun across 80 countries, Kargar isn’t new to the fast lanes. His stint with Infiniti turned heads not just for sleek designs but for robust sales, catapulting the brand’s volume by 20 per cent and cruising towards a billion-dollar profit mark. Before his grand tour with Nissan and Renault, Kargar had already been mapping the terrains of 50 countries, steering a whopping 4 billion euros in turnover. It’s safe to say, when it comes to the global auto-route, Kargar knows every shortcut and speed bump.

Stationed in Dubai, the crossroad of continents, Kargar’s gearbox is well-equipped with a Mechanical Engineering degree and an MBA focusing on finance, strategy, and leadership. This isn’t just about managing auto parts; it’s about driving a corporate philosophy that shifts gears towards expansive horizons. “We are confident that under his leadership, we will further strengthen our market position and continue to set benchmarks. We wish him the very best and welcome him to the TVSM family,” Radhakrishnan revved up.

For now, Kargar’s hands are firmly on the wheel, and it looks like he’s got the road map to success.

TVS Radeon unveils the new campaign with Pankaj Tripathi

Mumbai: The new age commuter motorcycle by TVS Motor, TVS Radeon has launched a new campaign featuring Pankaj Tripathi. The campaign highlights the impressive new features of its latest variant. Conceptualised by Lowe Lintas Bangalore, the ad film delivers the brand’s message using subtle humorous gestures.

In the film, Lowe Lintas portrays Pankaj Tripathi delivering the brand’s message through gestures and minimal dialogues. The features are showcased through the actor’s actions in a way that would intrigue the customers and keep them engaged, generating a strong brand recall. The narrative lands on the communication message – “Samajhdar ko ishara hi kafi hain” – suggesting how the product speaks for itself without any additional endorsement.

The ad film showcases the new TVS Radeon as India’s 1st 110 cc motorcycle to have the multi-colour reverse LCD cluster. This reverse LCD cluster comes with a real time mileage indicator (RTMi) that enables the user to control the mileage according to riding conditions. Apart from RTMi, there are seventeen other useful features in-built in the digital cluster like service indicator, low battery indicator, top/average speed, USB charger, etc. The new Radeon also comes equipped with proprietary TVS Intelligo (ISG and ISS system) as a variant, delivering an unmatched riding experience and superior mileage. The vehicle continues to ensure best in class comfort for the long-distance riders owing to its longest seat in the category.

Commenting on the maiden campaign, TVS Motor Company senior vice president – marketing Aniruddha Haldar said, “Radeon is designed to deliver comfort and convenience for the everyday commute, With the addition of reverse LCD cluster with RTMi, the bike enables you to take control of your mileage delivery. In today’s context with rising fuel costs, this unique feature will be loved by the consumers. The new film showcases the advantages of these features with subtle humour. The film beautifully captures the essence of the product and Pankaj Tripathi delivers the message in his inimitable style.”

Speaking about the creative thought behind the campaign, Lowe Lintas chief creative officer Sagar Kapoor said, “In a category that is always talking about something new, our challenge was to find an interesting way to talk about the new features in Radeon. We decided that instead of spelling out all the details in a conventional way, we will leave it to the intelligence of our audience to understand what is new. That’s how we landed the campaign idea, ‘Samajhdar ko ishara hi kafi hain’. Pankaj Tripathi became the obvious choice to play Bhaiyyaji in the campaign because of his signature style of communicating a lot just through his gestures.”

TVS Radeon was launched four years back, in 2018, and has crossed many milestones since then with its sturdy build, robust style and plush comfort. The brand has always tried to stay ahead of the curve – be it through their dual tone edition launched at the beginning of this year or the new RTMi feature.
