    News18 India celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with TV stars

    MUMBAI: As people across the country prepare for Ganesh Chaturthi, News18 India is all set to welcome Lord Ganesha through its popular television entertainment show ‘Saas Bahu Aur Devrani’. Celebrating the spirit of Ganesh Utsav, the fourth edition of ‘News18 India Ka Raja’ will witness myriad television celebrities welcome and worship Lord Ganesha.

    Adding excitement to the celebrations on the small screen, the channel will take ‘News18 India ka Raja’ to the top TV serial sets. This year, renowned actor Nishant Malkani from popular serial 'Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega' will bring ‘News18 India Ka Raja’ on the show’s set. Commenting on the initiative, Nishant said, "I feel blessed that I will bring and welcome Bappa Ganesha on our sets here. I am from Delhi but today Ganeshotsav has become a festival of the whole world. I wish and pray to Lord Ganesha to shower his blessings on everyone.”

    Actor Shivangi Joshi from the serial 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hai’ will also welcome Lord Ganesha. The entire cast and crew will offer prayers and prasadam followed by a grand aarti. During the 11-day long celebrations, Lord Ganesha will travel daily to the sets of popular shows and will be greeted by top television celebrities such as Deepika Singh, Sahabaz, Reem Sheikh, Avinesh Rekhi, Advik Mahajan and Shivangi Joshi to name a few.

    Starting 2nd September, all the excitement of the festival will be captured daily by a special segment on ‘Saas Bahu Aur Devrani’.

    MUMBAI: With the 11-day long festival of Ganesh Chaturthi round the corner, Maharashtra & other parts of India will once again witness beautiful pandals, crowds and celebrities thronging through the festival venues. As the nation prepares for the grand festival, News18 India is all set to welcome Lord Ganesha through its popular television entertainment show ‘Saas Bahu Aur Devrani’. The channel will take ‘News18 India ka Raja’ to top TV serial sets celebrating the spirit of Ganesh Utsav.

    This year, ‘News18 India ka Raja’ will be welcomed by contestants of the popular reality show ‘Dance Deewane’ with a musical band and a striking performance. For the next eleven days, Lord Ganesha will travel daily to the sets of renowned shows like Kulffi Kumarr Bajewala, Kaleerein, Nimki Mukhiya, Silsila Badlte Rishton Ka, Krishna Chali London to name a few.

    Mohit Malik, Shakti Arora, Suhasi Dhami, Aditi Sharma, Drashti Dhami, Arjit Taneja, Donald Bisht, Bhumika Gurung are some of the well-known television celebrities who will receive blessings through News18 India’s special segment. These stars along with their crew will welcome the idol of Ganesha on their sets and offer prayers and prasad followed by aarti.

    Commenting on the initiative, Nimki Mukhiya famed actor Bhumika Gurung said, “This is the first time that Ganpati Bappa will come on our set. All the cast and crew are looking forward to worship him and seek his blessings. ‘News18 India ka Raja’ goes to many sets every year and the set that they go to, becomes immensely popular.     Actor Arjit Taneja said, “This is the first time I will be seeing celebrations around Ganesh Utsav since I am from Delhi. I had heard about ‘News18 India ka Raja’ but will be welcoming Ganpati Bappa on the sets for the very first time. I have heard that he visits numerous sets and even fulfills the wishes of the actors.”

    Starting 13th September, all the excitement and fervor of the festival will be captured daily by a special segment on ‘Saas Bahu Aur Devrani’. On the final day of Ganesh Chaturthi the idol of Ganesha will be immersed into the Arabian Sea on Juhu beach of Mumbai by a top TV celebrity.

    Stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma is in Forbes India celebrity 100 list

    MUMBAI: In a short span of time, stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma has made a place for himself in the industry and in the hearts of many Indians. Now, it is time for him to celebrate his success as the artiste whose show Comedy Nights With Kapil has kind of become a phenomenon in the country, has been listed in Forbes India’s “celebrity 100” list.

     

    Sharma has secured the 93rd position in the list while other popular TV stars like Ram Kapoor, Ronit Roy and Sakshi Tanwar have been placed below him, said the magazine’s official website.

     

    Kapil came in to the limelight after winning season three of the reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He has also featured in various seasons of Comedy Circus before starting his own production house K9 Productions under which he produces Comedy Nights with Kapil, aired on Colors.

     

    He has also been nominated alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone for CNN IBN’s Indian of the Year (Entertainment).

     

    “Thank you god and my fans for making it possible…” Kapil posted on Twitter after the announcement.

     

    The show is India’s highest rated serial in the non-fiction category garnering viewership rating greater than reality flicks like KBC and Big Boss.
