    Hero MotorCorp rides away with Hockey India League title sponsorship.

    MUMBAI: Wish a lot many more sports had this kind of support. Strengthening its commitment to the growth and development of hockey, the world’s largest maker of bikes and scooters Hero MotoCorp  has signed on as the title sponsor of the Hockey India League (HIL) for the next three seasons, starting from 2024-25.  Specific sponsorship amounts were not disclosed, but guesstimate are that it is in the double digit crore territory.Coal India was the previous title sponsor.

    This  alliance between Hero MotoCorp and the HIL  aims to rejuvenate one of India’s most cherished sports, expanding its reach and fostering a vibrant platform for emerging talent.

    The tournament, set to begin on  28  December will feature eight men’s teams and, for the first time, four women’s teams. The introduction of the Women’s HIL  marks a historic milestone in Indian hockey, underscoring a significant step forward for the inclusion and empowerment of women in sports.

     Hero MotoCorp executive vice-president Sanjay Bhan said, “Hero MotoCorp is deeply committed to nurturing and supporting sports globally, with a special emphasis on India. Hockey holds a unique place in our hearts, reflecting our nation’s rich sporting heritage.     HIL  governing committee chairperson Dilip Tirkey  said:  “Hero MotoCorp has always been a pioneer in supporting Indian sports, and their association with the Hero Hockey India League will elevate the tournament’s stature. With their title sponsorship, we are confident that the Hero Hockey India League will reach greater heights, inspiring players and fans alike. Together, we aim to make this league a true celebration of hockey as IndiaKaGame.”

    HIL governing committee member Bhola Nath Singh added, “Hero MotoCorp’s partnership is a testament to the growing popularity of the HIL.Their support will not only enhance the league’s visibility but also strengthen the narrative of hockey as a unifying force in India.”

    The Hero HIL can be watched  through a wide array of platforms, including television, digital channels, and radio, ensuring that audiences remain connected to every thrilling match and moment. With Hero MotoCorp’s support, the league aims to nurture the sport, inspire future generations of players, and spotlight India’s hockey talent on the global stage.

    Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge renews title sponsorship deal with Hero MotoCorp till 2030

    MUMBAI: Veteran champion golfer Tiger Woods’ events production company TGR Live has found a hero. The world’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has agreed to extend its title sponsorship of the Hero World Challenge, which is under the TGR Live umbrella. The PGA-sanctioned tournament will now remain at Albamy, Bahamas through the 2030 playing.  Additionally, the Indian two-wheeler firm has said yes to continuing with Woods as its global corporate partner.

    The tournament rounds will be held between 5 and 8 December and it will be televised on the Golf Channel during all its rounds and by NBC during the third and final rounds.

    The Hero World Challenge is the longest-running PGA Tour event managed by TGR Live. The event was started by Woods and his father Earl in January 2000 to raise funds for the TGR Foundation. Hero MotoCorp first title sponsored the tournament  in 2014 at Isleworth Golf & Country Club. In 2015, the tournament moved to Albany, Bahamas where it will be played for the ninth time in 2024.Under Hero’s title sponsorship, the tournament has grown from 18 players to 20.

    Right from its inception, Woods vision has always been to utilise the event to raise awareness, support and resources that make a positive impact in the lives of youth around the world. Proceeds from the 2024 Hero World Challenge benefit TGR Foundation, Tavistock Foundation and Bahamas Youth Foundation.

    Scottie Scheffler won the Hero World Challenge in 2023 with his score being 20 under and his his margin of victory being three strokes. Runner-up was Sepp Straka.

    Mumbai: Mastercard has announced its collaboration with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to broaden its strategic outreach to Indian audiences. During this association, Mastercard will be the title sponsor for all international (both men’s and women’s) matches played on home soil, domestic cricket matches such as the Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy, and Ranji Trophy organised by the BCCI, and all junior cricket (Under 19 and Under 23) matches played in India.

    This sponsorship and the activities around it are aimed at enhancing Mastercard’s connection with cricket lovers across the country and beyond. Mastercard has worked to amplify this passion area with the signing on of MS Dhoni, the former Indian cricket captain, as its brand ambassador over four years ago.

    Mumbai: Muthoot FinCorp, a non-banking financial company and flagship entity of Muthoot Pappachan Group has announced that it will continue as the title sponsor of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the third consecutive year.

    As part of the association, the Muthoot FinCorp logo will be prominently placed on RCB’s match and training jerseys. The collaboration will also look to further connect with millions of fans across the country with social media integrations as well as TV commercials featuring RCB players, said the statement.

    “Our association with Royal Challengers Bangalore is a reflection of the common core values—grit, determination and creating limitless opportunities,” commented Muthoot Blue and Muthoot FinCorp director Thomas George. “RCB boasts of maximum fan base among all the T20 teams and we believe with their pan-India following, this partnership will aim to provide simple solutions to save hard-earned earnings and maintain the trust of millions of fans.”

    The 15th edition of the cricket extravaganza is scheduled to start on 26 March. Team RCB will begin its campaign on 27 March against Punjab Kings at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

    BCCI invites tenders for 2015-2019 international & domestic seasons

    MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has published an invitation to tender (ITT) for the title sponsorship relating to the BCCI home series and tournaments – both international and domestic – for the 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.

    The rights on offer include sponsor branding of the relevant series with the title sponsor logo, official designation as the ‘title sponsor’ of the relevant international or domestic series, visibility at the stadium during both international and domestic matches, broadcast sponsorship rights, and a host of other rights.

    The ITT document will be available at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai between 11 am and 5pm from 22 June until 28 July, 2015, at a non-refundable and non-adjustable cost of Rs 2,00,000.
