Tips Music turns up the heat with Tamil party anthem Mayangiren

MUMBAI: If music is meant to move you Mayangiren might just have you dancing before you know it. Tips Music ltd. has dropped its latest Tamil track, Mayangiren, an all-out party anthem that promises to electrify playlists and pack dancefloors across the globe.

Directed by Johnavan Lakshman Thomas, Mayangiren bursts with youthful energy, rhythm, and flair, a sonic celebration of freedom and fun. But the real magic begins when Luksimi Sivaneswaralingam takes the mic. The Toronto-born singer, who has previously worked with maestros A.R. Rahman and D. Imman, brings her signature blend of Western polish and South Asian soul to the song, creating a sound that’s as global as it is grounded. Her rich, emotive vocals glide over pulsating beats, lifting the song into instant earworm territory.

The music, composed by Selojan Srivaratharasan, is an addictive cocktail of thumping percussion, slick synths, and joyous hooks, the kind that makes even the most reluctant dancer tap along. Selojan also mixed, mastered, and produced the track, ensuring that every beat lands with precision and punch. Complementing the sound is Sathyan Ilanko’s clever, relatable lyricism that captures the carefree thrill of letting go, losing oneself to rhythm, and embracing the chaos of a perfect night out.

But Mayangiren isn’t just a track, it’s an experience. The accompanying music video, bursting with colour, choreography, and celebration, mirrors the song’s vivacity, turning it into a visual fiesta. With its sleek direction and youthful vibe, the video amplifies the energy of the track, making it impossible to resist replaying.

Speaking about the release, Tips Music said the track embodies the label’s mission to amplify diverse voices and dynamic sounds from across India’s evolving music scene. Over the years, Tips has championed new-age artists who bridge cultural influences while keeping Indian music at the heart of their art and Mayangiren is a shining example of that ethos.

In a musical landscape dominated by remixes and reboots, Mayangiren stands out for its originality and spirit, a feel-good anthem that’s equal parts desi groove and global pop sheen. With its pulsating soundscape and addictive rhythm, it’s tailor-made for road trips, rooftop parties, and weekend playlists alike.

Now streaming across all major platforms and lighting up the Tips Tamil Youtube channel Mayangiren is ready to soundtrack your celebrations. So, turn up the volume, forget the world, and as Luksimi sings just mayangiren.

MUMBAI: Turn up the volume, the party has just begun. Tips Films and Tips Music have dropped Sheher Ghumawa, the high-octane first track from their upcoming film Soulmates, and it is already shaping up to be the season’s dance anthem.

The video adds an extra splash of colour, pairing Mika Singh with Hira Warina in a vibrant, visually striking sequence that matches the track’s celebratory mood.

Mika Singh called it “infectious” and promised it will stay on party playlists for a long time. Composer Sunny Vik added that working on the song was about finding “the perfect balance of fun and meaning.”

  • Tips Music crosses 5 million fans on Facebook!

Tips Music crosses 5 million fans on Facebook!

MUMBAI: Tips Music created a landmark of sorts earlier this week when the company’s Facebook community hit the 5 million fan mark, making it one of the largest and most active entertainment brands on Facebook.

Mr. Sahas Malhotra, (VP – Business Head) of Tips Industries said “This is a very important milestone for us and we would like to thank all our fans and supporters. We regard this as a testament to all the consumer oriented engagements that Tips has undertaken in the digital space. The number of fans on the page has been growing in leaps and bounds and this is a clear indication of our ever increasing popularity on Facebook. Our unique social media initiatives with which we have been engaging fans, has garnered a lot of attention.”

In less than a year, the company has seen an increase of 50 percent in its fan base from 2 million in 2013, to the current 5 million. Tips Music is one of the few Indian entertainment companies with rich industry experience of over 25 years to realize the potential of social media and the digital platform with which they have been using to engage and build their fan community. With a single handed focus on the popularity of Facebook, Tips brings to its fans an exciting and interactive way of engaging with films and allowing music buffs the opportunity of extensive information about various artists, labels, and movies.

Today, Tips is at the forefront of the digital music industry in India and this is just the beginning.

  • Tips Music crosses 2 million fans mark on Facebook

Tips Music crosses 2 million fans mark on Facebook

MUMBAI: Tips Music has become one of the largest entertainment brands on Facebook in India. The company‘s Facebook community crossed 2 million fans and has reported to have one of the highest engagement rates on the social network.

Tips was one of the last to join the social media bandwagon but has surpassed their competitors in a short span of two years. The company has the largest fan following on Facebook, not only amongst the music companies, but also in the film production companies in India.

“We‘re very excited to cross this milestone on Facebook, we appreciate all the support our fans have given us in the last few years. Our company mission has always been to give the audience quality music and films and we‘re happy to be spreading this to the digital platform. I‘m personally very active on various social mediums and enjoy having conversations with people on Facebook and Twitter,” informs Tips Industries Limited managing director Kumar Taurani.

Tips Music, unlike its competitors, broke the trend of depending only on new music to grow their community and leveraged their rich 90s music catalogue to engage with fans. “When we started our Facebook initiative, every expert we met told us the page would only grow during the time of a new soundtrack release. The problem was, at the time we only had one film up for release and a gap of a year till the next,” says Taurani.

Tips which has a catalogue of 25,000+ tracks, did not want to limit their Facebook promotions to 10-15 recent songs. “We developed a unique strategy where the main focus was to refresh people‘s memory with the music from our 90s catalogue while introducing the youth to classic songs they may have never heard,” says Tips Industries Limited senior VP and business head Sahas Malhotra.

The company also started sharing its content from films like Khal Nayak, Rangeela, Imtihaan, Phool Aur Kaante and Raja Hindustani. “Our initial interaction with people was very low. This forced us to question our decision. Though music from the 60s, 70s and 80s are considered evergreen and retro cool from a young person‘s perspective, the 90s did not yet have a label.”

Tips then started receiving messages from their fans thanking them for sharing a song they had heard 15 years ago. “People now knew where they could get the hit songs of the 90s. Our fans on Facebook then started sending pictures of a cassette, asking if the title was available digitally. This forced us to dig deeper into our catalogue and churn out compilations with songs we didn‘t even think would be popular in this day and age. We were pleasantly surprised to see the overwhelming response from the youth and it‘s a great sign to see them consuming hits from the 90s.”

Prabhudheva‘s Ramaiya Vastavaiya starring Girish Kumar and Shruti Haasan releasing 19 July, Rajkumar Santoshi‘s Phata Poster Nikhla Hero starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D‘Cruz on 20 September and ‘It‘s Entertainment‘ starring Akshay Kumar and Tamannah Bhatia directed by renowned screenplay writers Sajid-Farhad releasing 28 March 2014 are the forthcoming movies of Tips Music.
