    Sun TV continues as most watched channel across genres in first week of 2019

    BENGALURU: The Sun TV Network’s flagship Tamil GEC Sun TV continued its almost uninterrupted run as the most watched channels across genres according to the Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) weekly list for week 1 of 2019 (Saturday, 29 December 2018 to Friday, 4 January 2019). It is only during some weeks of the Indian Premier League (IPL) that the channel has to give way to the main sports channel of the network that broadcasts the mega cricketing event.

    Six Hindi GECs, two Hindi movies channels and one channel each from the Tamil GEC and Telugu GEC genres made it to BARC’s weekly list of  top 10 channels across genres during week 1 of 2018 (week or period under review or consideration). From the network’s perspective, BARC’s across genres list for week 1 of 2019 had three channels from Star India, two channels each from Sony Pictures Network India, Viacom 18 Media Pvt Ltd (Viacom 18) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) and one channel from the Sun TV Network.

    As mentioned above at its normal first rank in week 1 of 2019 was Sun TV with 1,103.433 million weekly impressions as compared to 1,012.658 weekly impressions in week 52 of 2018. Sun TV also led BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Tamil channels in the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry market and four programmes in BARC’s list of top 5 Tamil programmes during primetime in these markets based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week under review were aired on Sun TV.

    Also at its previous week’s second rank was Zeel’s FTA Hindi GEC Zee Anmol with 826.144 million weekly impressions in week 1 of 2019 as compared to 785.124 million weekly impressions in week 52 of 2018. Zee Anmol was also ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R) and was ranked ninth in HSM (U). The channel was the most watched Hindi channel across genres during the week. The Balaji Telefilms-produced soap Kumkum Bhagya was ranked first in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R).  Another two programmes aired on the channel – Mahek and Ek Main aur Ek Tu were ranked fourth and third respectively in HSM (R).

    Star India’s flagship Hindi GEC Star Plus climbed up four places to third rank in week 1 of 2019 with 705.119million impressions as compared to 654.141 million weekly impressions and second rank in week 52 of 2018. Star Plus was ranked second in BARC’s weekly lists of top 10 Hindi GECs in the combined urban and rural Hindi speaking markets or HSM (U+R) and was ranked first in HSM (U) and ninth in HSM (R). The awards show – Star Screen Awards 2019 was ranked second and first in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U) respectively.

    Star India’s flagship Telugu GEC dropped a rank in week 1 of 2019 to fourth place with 888.726 million weekly impressions as compared with 782.262 million weekly impressions in week 52 of 2018. Star Maa was ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Telugu channels in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana market. Five programmes that were aired on Star Maa were present in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Telugu programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in the same market.

    Zeel’s flagship Hindi GEC Zee TV also dropped a rank in week 1 of 2019 to fifth place with 680.504 million weekly impressions as compared to 700.671 million weekly impressions in week 52 of 2018. Zee TV was ranked third in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs in HSM (U+R) and fourth in HSM (U), and was ranked seventh in HSM (R). Kundali Bhagya that aired on Zee TV was at fourth rank in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and in HSM (U).

    Viacom 18’s Hindi movies channel Rishtey Cineplex also dropped a rank in week 1 of 2019 to sixth place with 638.638 million weekly impressions as compared with 690.626 million weekly impressions in week 52 of 2018. The channel began 2019 with a bang – four of the top five movies in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Hindi movies programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and all the five top programmes in HSM (R) were aired on Rishtey Cineplex. Rishtey Cineplex was the most watched Hindi movies channel in BARC’s across genres weekly list.

    Another Star India pay-TV Hindi GEC Star Bharat also dropped a rank to seventh place in week 1 of 2019 with 619.919 million weekly impressions as compared to 658.078 million weekly impressions in week 52 of 2018. Star Bharat was ranked fourth in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs in HSM (U+R) and sixth and fifth in HSM (R) and HSM (U) respectively.

    SPN’s flagship Hindi GEC Sony Entertainment Television (SET) climbed up two places to eighth rank in BARC’s top 10 channels across genres weekly list with 619.230 million weekly impressions in week 1 of 2091 as compared to 603.330 million weekly impressions in week 52 of 2018. SET was ranked fifth in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi GECs in HSM (U+R) and second in HSM (U). The reality show Super Dancer Chapter 3-Auditions on the channel was ranked third and first in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GECs programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U) respectively. Further the comedy show – The Kapil Sharma Show was ranked second in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Hindi programmes during primetime in HSM (U).

    Viacom 18’s flagship Hindi GEC Colors entered BARC’s across genres weekly list in week 1 of 2019 with 607.973 million weekly impressions at ninth rank. Colors was ranked sixth in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R), tenth in HSM (R) and third in HSM (U).

    SPN’s Hindi movies channel Sony Max also dropped a rank to tenth place in week 1 of 2019 with 598.253 million weekly impressions as compared with 625.252 million weekly impressions in week 51. Sony Max was ranked second in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Hindi movies channels in HSM (U+R), first in HSM (U) and was ranked fourth in HSM (R). Hindi feature film (HFF)  Bahubali 2: The Conclusion was ranked first BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi movies programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U). Two other HFF’s – Tiger Zinda Hai  and Yevadu were ranked fourth and fifth in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi movies programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week n HSM (U)

    BENGALURU: Four channels from Star India and three channels from Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) were among Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) weekly list of top 10 channels across genres for week 33 of 2018 (Saturday, 11 August 2018 to Friday, 17 August 2018). The three other channels in the list were from two networks – two channels from Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (Zeel) and one channel from the Sun TV Network Limited.

    BARC’s across genres list for week 33 comprised of six Hindi GEC channels, two Hindi Movies channels and one channel each from the Tamil and the Telugu GEC genres.

    As is the norm, Sun TV led the across the genres list at first place in week 33 with ,1027.548 million weekly impressions as compared to 1,133.028 million weekly impressions in week 32 of 2018. Sun TV also led BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Tamil channels in the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry market and four of the 5 programmes in BARC’s list of top 5 Tamil programmes during primetime in these markets based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week under review were aired on Sun TV.

    Retaining its previous week’s second rank was Zeel’s free to air or FTA Hindi GEC Zee Anmol in week 33 of 2018 with 762.485 million weekly impressions as compared to 749.977 million weekly impressions in week 32. Zee Anmol was also ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs in the combined urban and rural Hindi speaking market – HSM (U+R) and HSM (R). The Balaji Telefilms produced soap Kumkum Bhagya aired on Zee Anmol was ranked  fifth in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and was ranked first in HSM (R). Another soap from the channel, Mahek, was ranked fourth in HSM (R).

    SPN’s Hindi Movies channel Sony Max returned to BARC’s across genres list in week 33 of 2018 with 718.388 million weekly impressions.  Sony Max was also ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Hindi Movies channels in the HSM (U+R) and HSM (U) and was ranked fifth in HSM (R).  S S Rajamouli’s sequel Bahubali -2 or Bahubali the Conclusion was ranked first in BARC’s list of the top 5 Hindi Movies programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U).  Three other Hindi feature films – Sooryavansham, Tiger Zinda Hai and Paisa Vasool were also among BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi Movies programmes during primetime list in HSM (U).

    Star India’s FTA Hindi GEC Star Utsav also retained its fourth rank in week 33 of 2018 with 717.238 million weekly impressions as compared and 675.211 million weekly impressions in week 32. Star Utsav was ranked second in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R), second in HSM (R) and was ranked seventh in HSM (U). The soap Rabba Ve aired on Star Utsav was ranked third in BARC’s weekly in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime  based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (R).

    Dropping down two ranks from the previous week to fifth place in week 33 of 2018 was Star India’s flagship Hindi GEC Star Plus with 698.754 million impressions as compared to 726.112 million weekly impressions in the previous week. Star Plus was ranked third in BARC’s weekly lists of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R) and was ranked first in HSM (U). Director’s Kut Productions produced Hindi soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai aired on Star Plus was ranked fourth in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime  based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and was ranked second in HSM (U).

    Star India’s flagship Telugu GEC Star Maa was ranked sixth in BARC’s across genres list for week 33 of 2018 with 683.334 million weekly impressions as compared to fifth rank and 659.642 million weekly impressions in week 32. Star Maa was ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Telugu channels in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana market. All the five top programmes that were aired on Star Maa were present in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Telugu programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week.

    At seventh rank was SPN’s Hindi Movies channel Sony Wah with 681.055 million weekly impressions in week 33 of 2018 as compared to 628.865 million weekly impressions in week 31. Sony Wah was ranked second in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi Movies channels in HSM (U+R), first in HSM (R) and fifth in HSM (U). Hindi feature films (HFF) that featured on Sony Wah – Sultan and Shivaji the Boss were among the top 5 most watched Hindi Movies programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) for the week in BARC’s list in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R). A third HFF- Koi Mil Gaya on Sony Wah was also on BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi Movies programmes during primetime in HSM (R).

    At eighth rank was SPN’s FTA women focused Hindi GEC Sony Pal rank in week 33 of 2018 with 621.147 million weekly impressions as compared to tenth rank and 618.547 million weekly impressions in week 32. Sony Pal was ranked fourth in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi channels in HSM (U+R), was ranked third in HSM (R) and was ranked eighth in HSM (U). The sitcom Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah aired on Sony Pal was ranked second in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (R).

    At ninth rank was Star India’s Hindi GEC Star Bharat in week 33 of 2018 with 619.664 million weekly impressions compared to seventh rank and 619.402 million weekly impressions in week 32. Star Bharat was ranked fifth in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi channels in HSM (U+R), sixth in HSM (R) and HSM (U) in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GEC channels during the week under review.

    At tenth rank was Zeel’s flagship Hindi GEC Zee TV with 619.458 million weekly impressions in week 33 of 2018 as compared to sixth rank and 657.079 million weekly impressions in week 32. Zee TV was ranked sixth in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R), third in HSM (U) and seventh in HSM (R) during the week. One programme that was aired on Zee TV- Kumkum Bhagya, was ranked second in HSM (U+R)  and was ranked fifth in HSM (U) in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week. Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV was also ranked fourth in HSM (U) in BARC’s lists of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week.

    BENGALURU:  Zee Entertainment Entertainment Enterprises Limited (Zeel) flagship Hindi GEC Zee TV was ranked third in Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) weekly list of top 10 channels across genres (across genres list) in week 30 of 2018 (Saturday, 21st July 2018 to Friday, 27th July 2018, week or period under review). Preceding it were the Sun TV Network’s flagship Tamil GEC Sun TV at the pole position and Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) Hindi Movies channel at second rank. This made Zee TV the most watched Hindi GEC in week 30 of 2019. The channels in BARC’s weekly across genres list in week 30 were same as in week 29 of 2018 with some changes in the ranks.

    Like last week, there were eight Hindi channels and one channel each from the Tamil GEC and Telugu GEC genres in week 30 of 2018. Six of the Hindi channels were Hindi GEC and two were Hindi Movies channels. There were three channels each from Star India and SPN, two channels from Zeel and one channel each from the Sun TV Network and Viacom18.

    As mentioned above, Sun TV led the across the genres list in week 30 with 1,048.709 million weekly impressions in week 30 as compared to 1,071.451 million weekly impressions in week 29 of 2018. Sun TV also led BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Tamil channels in the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry market and all the 5 programmes in BARC’s list of top 5 Tamil programmes during primetime in these markets based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week under review were aired on Sun TV.

    At second rank was Sony Max with 737.406 million weekly impressions in week 30 as compared to 746.904 million weekly impressions in week 29 of 2018. The channel was also the most watched channel in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi Movies channels in the combined urban and rural Hindi speaking market – HSM (U+R), as well is in HSM (U). In HSM (R) Sony Max was ranked fifth in the Hindi Movies genre. Hindi feature films (HFF) that featured on Sony Max –Tiger Zinda Hai led BARC’s top 5 most watched Hindi Movies programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U). Another HFF the Aamir Khan starring – PK was also among the top 5 Hindi Movies programmes during primetime in HSM (U).

    Zee TV climbed up two ranks to third place in week 30 of 2018 with 675.605 million weekly impressions as compared to 649.355 million weekly impressions in week 29 of 2018. Zee TV was ranked fourth in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R), third in HSM (U) and seventh in HSM (R) during the week. Two programmes that were aired on Zee TV- Kundali Bhagya, a spinoff of the Balaji Telefilms produced Kumkum Bhagya, was ranked second, Kumkum Bhagya was ranked third in HSM (U+R)  and HSM (U) in BARC’s list of top 5 programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week. Kundali Bhagya on Zee TV was also ranked fifth in HSM (R) in BARC’s lists of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week. In the HSM (U) market.

    At fourth rank in week 30 of 2018 was Zeel’s free to air (FTA) Hindi GEC Zee Anmol with 674.957 million weekly impressions as compared to third rank and 717.589 million weekly impressions in week 29. Zee Anmol was also ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R) as also in HSM (R). The Balaji Telefilms produced soap Kumkum Bhagya aired on Zee Anmol was ranked  fourth in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and was ranked first in HSM (R).     Star India’s Telugu GEC Star Maa was ranked fifth in week 30 of 2018 with 668.256 million weekly impressions as compared to fourth rank and 673.849 million weekly impressions in week 29 of 2018. Star Maa was ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Telugu channels in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana market. Three programmes that were aired on Star Maa were present in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Telugu programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week.

    Star India’s FTA Hindi GEC Star Utsav moved up two ranks to sixth place in week 30 of 2018 with 657.357 million weekly impressions as compared to eighth place and 597.617 million weekly impressions in week 29. Star Utsav had re-entered BARC’s across genres list in week 29.  Star Utsav was ranked second in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R) and was ranked seventh in HSM (U).

    Another Star India FTA Hindi GEC Star Bharat was ranked seventh in week 30 with 652.260 million weekly impressions as compared to with 598.615 million weekly impressions in week 29 of 2018. Star Bharat was ranked third in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi channels in HSM (U+R) was ranked fourth in HSM (R) and was ranked sixth in HSM (U) in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GEC channels during the week under review.

    Viacom18’s flagship Hindi GEC Colors was ranked eighth in week 30 of 2018 with 632.232 million weekly impressions in week 30 of 2018 as compared to 636.700 million weekly impressions in week 29. Colors was ranked fifth in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs’ in HSM (U+R) and was ranked first in HSM (U). Naagin 3 found the top place in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U), while Naagin 3 was ranked fourth in HSM (R). Another programme on Colors – the reality show Dance Deewane was ranked fourth in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U).

    Retaining its previous week’s eight rank was SPN’s women focused Hindi GEC Sony Pal with 605.714 million weekly impressions in week 30 as compared to 590.263 million weekly impressions in week 29 of 2018. Sony Pal was ranked sixth in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi channels in HSM (U+R), was ranked third in HSM (R) and was ranked eighth in HSM (U). The sitcom Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah aired on Sony Pal was ranked second in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (R).

    Also at its previous week’s tenth rank was another SPN Hindi Movies channel Sony Wah with 600.781 million weekly impressions in week 30 as compared to 584.938 million weekly impressions in week 29 of 2018. Sony Wah was ranked second in BARC’s weekly list of top 5 Hindi Movies channels in HSM (U+R), first in HSM (R) and fifth in HSM (U) during week 30 of 2018. HFF Kanchana 2 that aired on the channel was ranked third in BARC’s list of top 5 Hindi Movies programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R)  and was ranked first in HSM (R). Further, another HFF, Son of Satyamurthy was ranked fifth in HSM (R).

    BENGALURU: Four channels from the Star India Network made it to the Broadcast Audience Research Council’s (BARC) top 10 channels across genres list–all India: 2+ in week 14 of 2018: Saturday, 31 March 2018 to Friday, 6 April 2018. Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) had three channels, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) had two channels and Sun TV Network had one channel in the list of top 10 channels. Six of the channels were Hindi GECs, two were Hindi movie channels and there was one channel each from the Tamil GEC and the Telugu GEC genres.

    The combined ratings of the top 10 channels across genres reduced by 2.3 per cent in week 14 to 6,476.274 million impressions from 6,629.826 million impressions. The first six ranks and order in week 14 were the same as in week 13 of 2018. One channel moved up the list while three channels re-entered the list during the week under review.

    Sun Networks’ flagship Tamil GEC occupied its numero uno position as usual in week 14 with 990.432 million weekly impressions as compared to 985.490 million weekly impressions in week 13 of 2018. Also, as is usual, Sun TV topped BARC’s list of top 5 Tamil channels in the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry markets. All the top 5 Tamil programmes during primetime in these markets were also aired on Sun TV.

    Star Bharat continued to hold its second place overall and first among the Hindi GECs in the across genres list in week 14 of 2018 with 739.935 million weekly impressions as compared to 756.655 million weekly impressions in the previous week. The channel also held the top rank in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi GECs in the Hindi speaking urban and rural markets or HSM (U+R). Star Bharat was ranked second in HSM (U) and ranked fourth in HSM (R). The programme Kya Haal Mr Paanchal was among the top five Hindi GEC programmes during primetime in HSM (U+R).

    Also holding on to its third place was Zeel’s free-to-air (FTA) Hindi GEC Zee Anmol with 712.667 million weekly impressions in week 14 as compared to 739.830 million weekly impressions in week 13 of 2018. Zee Anmol was ranked second in HSM (U+R), first in HSM (R) and ninth in HSM (U). The Balaji Telefilms-produced Kumkum Bhagya topped BARC’s list of top five Hindi GEC programmes during primetime in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R). Another soap Ganga that was aired on Zee Anmol was the third most watched programme during primetime in week 14 of 2018 in HSM (R).

    At fourth place was SPN’s women focused Hindi GEC Sony Pal with 679.1716 million weekly impressions in week 14 as compared to 712.094 million weekly impressions in week 13 of 2018. Sony Pal was ranked third in HSM (U+R) and second in HSM (R). CID aired on Sony Pal was in the list of top five Hindi GEC programmes in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R). Furthermore, the channel’s sitcom comedy Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah and Balveer were in the list of top five Hindi GEC programmes in HSM (R).

    Continuing on at fifth rank was another Star India FTA Hindi GEC Star Utsav with 612.184 million weekly impressions in week 14 as compared to 641.729 million weekly impressions in week 13 of 2018. The channel was ranked fourth in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi GECs in HSM (U+R), third in HSM (R) and was eighth in HSM (U).

    Also holding onto its sixth place was SPN’s Hindi movies channel Sony Max with 594.882 million weekly impressions in week 14 as compared to 587.930 million weekly impressions in week 13 of 2018. Sony Max also topped BARC’s list of top five Hindi movies channels in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U) and was ranked fifth in HSM (R). Hindi feature films (HFF) Tiger Zinda Hai and Sarrainudo were the five most watched Hindi movie programmes during primetime in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U).

    Catapulting from the previous week’s tenth rank in the list to the seventh place was Zeel’s flagship Hindi GEC Zee TV with 562.387 million weekly impressions in week 14 as compared to 539.770 million weekly impressions in week 13 0f 2018. Zee TV was ranked fifth in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi GECs in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U) and was ranked eighth in HSM (R). Kundali Bhagya, a spinoff of Kumkum Bhagya, aired on Zee TV was the second most watched programme during primetime in HSM (U+R) and the most watched Hindi GEC programme during primetime in HSM (U).

    Entering BARC’s list of top 10 channels across genres was Star India’s flagship Hindi GEC Star Plus at eighth rank with 539.231 million weekly impressions in week 14. Star Plus was ranked eighth in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi GECs in HSM (U+R), fourth in HSM (U) and was placed ninth in HSM (R).

    Also, re-entering the list was Star India’s flagship Telugu GEC Star Maa with 528.125 million weekly impressions in week 14 of 2018. The channel topped BARC’s list of top five Telugu channels in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets, while three of its programmes were amongst BARC’s list of top five programmes during primetime in the same markets.

    Another SPN Hindi movies channel, Sony Wah, also re-entered BARC’s list of top 10 channels across genres in week 14 of 2018 with 516.716 million weekly impressions. Sony Wah was ranked second in BARC’s list of top five Hindi movies channels for the week in HSM (U+R), first in HSM (R) and fourth in HSM (U). HFF Rowdy Rathore was the second most watched Hindi movie during primetime in HSM (U+R) and the most watched Hindi movie during primetime in HSM (R).
