    Zee Zest’s ‘Junior Masterchef Australia’ returns with season 3

    Mumbai: Lifestyle channel Zee Zest has announced the third season of ‘Junior Masterchef Australia’, starting 16 August. Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo, and Andy Allen return as judges for the show which will air every Monday and Tuesday at 11 a.m.

    The cooking reality show features 14 contestants who were selected after beating almost 2,000 young aspirants by cooking up the best food. These talented young chefs will be tasked with unimaginable challenges in the hopes of materialising their dreams. The contestants will have the opportunity to showcase their best dishes to judges from across the globe, said the channel in a statement.

    “We are elated to air ‘Junior Masterchef Australia’ – a show that is an adequate representation of ‘age is just a number.’ The dishes and meticulous plating by the kids will leave viewers awestruck and wanting for more! With contestants from diverse backgrounds and skillsets that match up to established culinary legends, the show is set to keep viewers on their toes as one winner emerges as the champion,” said Zee Zest’s business head, Amit Nair.

    ‘The Newsroom’ to end after third season

    MUMBAI: The Emmy award-winning HBO drama series The Newsroom that has topped the popularity charts will begin production on its third and final season this spring. The telecast of the show is slated for fall. The announcement was made by HBO Programming president Michael Lombardo.

     

    Lombardo has been reported as saying that the farewell season will be the one to remember. Lombardo thinks that the show was hitting a smart, adult audience that many of the other dramas weren’t.

     

    Created by Academy Award winner, Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The West Wing), The Newsroom follows the members of a cable news team on their quixotic mission to do the news well in the face of a fickle audience, corporate mandates and tangled personal relationships. Sorkin, Scott Rudin (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) and Alan Poul (Six Feet Under) return as executive producers, with Paul Lieberstein (The Office) joining the show as an executive producer.

     

    Returning cast regulars include Jeff Daniels (who received an Emmy award in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for the show last September), Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston, John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel and Olivia Munn.

    Mumbai, May 15, 2006: The third season of Naach Meri Jaan on ETC is once again a cool sparkling success.

    Second Event of this six event season with artistes like Meet Brothers, Yasmin Khan and Shibani Kashyap, is telecasting on ETC on Saturday 20 May 2006 from 8:30 pm onwards.

    The show opens with a sizzling performance by YASMEEN KHAN on song ‘Hona hai Hona hai’. Once the mood was set MEET BROTHERS took over. They sang the popular numbers like Jogi singh Barnal Singh, Pyar Hamya, Dekta hoon koyi ladki, Bluffmaster and Masti ki Pathshala. Once again Yasmeen entertained with a medley on kuan ma duub jaanogi. SHIBANI KASHYAP showcase the songs like Zinda, Sajna, Dum maro dum, Medley of latest Bollywood hits, Duma dum mast kalander, Woh Lamhe, Medley of vintage classic songs remixed and Ho gayi hai mohabbat tumse.

    They were performing to entertain the huge crowd at Water Kingdom. Show was anchored by ETC anchor Aanchal and in between the performances mimicry artiste Nitin entertained the crowd as Mithun Da, Amitabh Bachchan and Dev Anand.

    Other musicians and artiste to perform on different events are Bombay Vikings, Deepa Chari, Band of Boys, Sonu Kakkar, Crazy Cat, Kailash Kher, Kainaz and many others.
