    ACER REACHES OUT TO YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS THROUGH THE PITCH SHOW

    India is a young country brimming with innovative ideas, with 65 percent of its present population under 35 years of age. Aiming to connect with young minds across the country and helping them realize their true potential, Acer India has partnered with Bloomberg TV India in the show ‘The Pitch’. A one-of-its-kind show, The Pitch invites India’s best entrepreneurs to a contest of skills and business plans.

     

    “India is set to become the youngest country in the world by 2020. Given the increasing significance and visible impact of entrepreneurship, these young entrepreneurs need to be nurtured well. We have always reached to the country’s youth, enabling them with cutting-edge technology. With our association with the Pitch show, we aim to take our youth-connect to another level and encourage young talent in India”, said Mr. S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India.

     

    The Friday, 18th October episode of The Pitch show will feature contenders creating innovative television commercials for the top-of-the-line Acer S7 Ultrabook. Every week viewers stand a chance to win an Acer Iconia B1 tablet by answering two simple contest questions. The grand finale of the contest will witness one lucky viewer taking home an Aspire S3 Ultrabook by successfully guessing the final winner of the show.

    ‘The Pitch’ season 3 kicks off tomorrow

    MUMBAI: After seeing two successful seasons of ‘The Pitch’, the third season is back with its set of ten entrepreneurs. About 5000 entries were received which finally boiled down to ten. The entries were selected by jury members- Mahesh Murty, Vishal Gondal and Neeraj Roy.

    Presented by Reliance Commercial Finance and powered by Hyundai, the show which kicks off tomorrow (27 September) will be aired at 10: 30 pm on Fridays. Big Daddy Productions are the concept partners. The winner will receive up to Rs five crore from Seedfund as a push to his venture. This amount is decided by the investors depending on the requirements of the business.

    The format this year has been slightly changed. According to a UTV official the past two seasons saw a huge number of entries from the entrepreneurs who had already started their ventures and were looking for funds to grow their businesses. The channel discussed this with the Seedfund team and a joint decision was taken to focus on entrepreneurs with existing businesses.

    This year, the contestants are established entrepreneurs who will compete to win the prize money that will assist their project. Some of them include CvBhejo.com founder Nilesh Tayal that helps recruit local talent for local jobs, Pandurang Taware who set up agriculture tourism and Sudeepa Sanyal who found The Blueberry Trail to help people travel to offbeat locations.

    Bloomberg UTV readies for season 2 of ‘The Pitch’

    MUMBAI: Bloomberg UTV is gearing up to launch the second season of its business reality show, The Pitch.

    The business news channel is inviting potential entrepreneurs with sound business ideas to send in their entries to win a funding of Rs 50 million to execute their business plan. The last date to submit your entries is 23 October.

    The Pitch aims to identify, evaluate and encourage potential entrepreneurs who not only have the most deserving business ideas, but also possess the critical skills required to execute them successfully. Following the nationwide call-for-entries, a jury comprising renowned professionals will shortlist the participants who will be called to make their elevator pitches in Mumbai. The jury and angel investors will closely evaluate these shortlisted aspirants not only on the merit of their business pitches, but also on their individual brilliance and identify the finalists who will appear on The Pitch.

    During the show the aspirants will face challenges thrown to them by prominent business leaders. Each week on a fresh episode, a new business leader will design and assign tasks to the participants. The tasks will challenge the aspirants on the most critical skills required to be a successful entrepreneur and by eliminating the weakest performer, narrow down to the most competent and deserving aspirant who goes on to receive the funding of up to Rs 50 million from the investors to start their business.
