    MIRROR NOW launches ‘The Last Word’

    MUMBAI: Mirror Now, a channel that fights for you and channelizes its focus on issues that impact you every day launches ‘The Last Word’. The show will be anchored by MIRROR NOW popular primetime anchor, Tanvi Shukla. 

     Promising high viewer engagement, the structured format of ‘The Last Word’ raises issues that are critical to our citizens and demand accountability from the powers that drive improvement. At every stage of the debate, the audience will express their opinions and act as a panel of jury. This will enable viewers to express their concerns and appreciations for their elected representatives by giving their ‘THE Last Word’ as the verdict. The key highlight of the show will be the audience LIVE polls through Twitter and Involvement of the callers.     Karan Thapar to host ‘To the Point’ on Headlines Today

    MUMBAI: Last week, the news of CNN-IBN’s most popular anchors moving on to another channel surprised many. Starting tonight, TV Today Group’s English news channel Headlines Today will begin a new show with Karan Thapar called ‘To the Point’.

     

    The one hour show produced by the channel will air on weekdays at 8:30 pm that will focus on a range of topics. The pilot episode will start off with an exit poll. To the Point is replacing News Night that earlier used to air between 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Centre Stage between 9:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

     

    Thapar has been notable for his shows such as ‘Devil’s Advocate’ and ‘The Last Word’ on CNN-IBN. He has over three decades of experience in journalism and has won several awards.

     

    He has his own production house Infotainment Television that makes programmes for BBC, Doordarshan and Channel News Asia.

    NEW DELHI: CNN-IBN today launched two new programmes – ‘The Last Word’, and ‘News 360’.

    While the first is a daily show aimed at getting to the heart of every burning issue and deciphering the day’s most important news, the second aims to present a complete news wrap of the day.

    To be presented by the irrepressible Karan Thapar, The Last Word is a primetime show which will delve into the major headlines of the day, focusing on adding depth to the current stories.

    The Last Word will have multiple guests on the show whose expertise will help in giving to the viewers an in-depth analysis of stories that made an impact across the country and the world. The show will be aired on CNN-IBN from Monday to Friday at 8 pm from tonight.

    ‘News 360’ will cover the top stories and all the news that has happened during the day. The fast paced news bulletin will be aired from Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm from tonight.

    Lesser views and more news is the mantra of ‘News 360’, as the show takes the viewers across India and globe and will focus on news from all genres including, National, Regional, International, Business, Sports & Entertainment.
