  • Fun Republic treats children to the ‘The Incredibles’

    MUMBAI: Fun Republic, multiplex at Andheri (West) hosted a special screening of the movie The Incredibles for over 600 children on 16 December at 8:30 am.

    Present at the occasion was noted actor Rakshanda Khan who said “It was a lovely feeling to spend so much time with a bunch of over 600 Incredible kids.” Also present at the screening was noted television actor, Shilpa Saklani who shared similar feelings about being with the kids.
     
     

    The event was organised under the initiative ‘Choto Ka Funda’ which aims at taking the children away from the rigorous academic schedule and introduce them to various concepts of film-making by showcasing various categories of movies that they can learn from.
     
     

    Other attractions during the day included tattoo artistes, food counters and a host of other activities that the kids indulged in.

    ‘The Incredibles’ videogame announced

    MUMBAI: Pixar Animation Studios and Disney Interactive has announced the release of The Incredibles videogame, based on the movie with the same title.

    “Matching the creative minds at Pixar Animation Studios and the game development talents at THQ’s Heavy Iron Studios has produced one of this year’s most exhilarating and action-filled video games,” said The Incredibles film producer John Walker.

    After the outstanding success of the Finding Nemo videogames, I’m thrilled to see another example of great synergy on every level between Disney, Pixar and THQ,” said Buena Vista Games senior vice president and General Manager Graham Hopper. “Like the film, The Incredibles videogame is certain to be a huge hit this holiday season with consumers of all ages.”

    THQ senior vice president, worldwide marketing, Peter Dille said, “We’ve created a campaign that targets the broad market of videogame players through TV, print, online, radio, in-theater advertising, and numerous promotional partnerships with both the theatrical release and the first party hardware publishers.”

  • McDonald’s showcases ‘The Incredibles’ world in the US

    MUMBAI: Fast food major McDonald’s will once again partner with Disney and Pixar in the US. In the past McDonald’s had tied up with films like Finding Nemo and Toy Story 2 through the Happy Meals initiative.

    Now Disney and Pizar have released The Incredibles which some critics are calling one of the best films of the year.
     

    McDonald’s in the US is once again doing a Happy Meal promotion around the film. With every Happy Meal purchase visitors to McDonalds outlets in the US will receive one of eight action-packed figures based on characters from the film.

    One of the toys that visitors will get is Mr. Incredible: The toy features boxing arms which are activated by a lever. In India the film will be released on 17 December.
     

    On the marketing front to create awareness about the initiative there will be television spots featuring original animation from Pixar and Leo Burnett.

    McDonald’s kids and family marketing director Kathy Pyle added, “McDonald’s is thrilled to bring the adventures of this movie to life in an incredible way. Each Incredible Happy Meal figure, mimics the superhero skill of The Incredibles cast, allowing our guests to relive the big screen adventures of these suburban superheroes in their neighborhood McDonald’s.
     

    “Disney/Pixar Happy Meal events such as Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. and A Bugs Life have marked some of the most popular Happy Meal events of all time.” For 25 years, McDonald’s has provided its Happy Meal guests with the day’s hottest toy trends and their favourite food choices.

    Visitors can enjoy additional food choices
    with their Happy Meals including Apple Dippers (fresh, peeled apple slices) served with low fat caramel dipping sauce, and new beverage choices including 100 per cent pure Minute Maid apple juice and low fat white and chocolate Milk Jugs,
    served in child friendly containers.
