Desi Boyz gets ‘A’, The Dirty Picture ‘U’

MUMBAI: Contrary to the expectations of the producers of Desi Boyz and The Dirty Picture, the Censor Board has done just the opposite.

While the Akshay Kumar, John Abraham- strarrer film has been given an ‘A‘ certificate, the latter has been passed without cuts and given a ‘U‘ certificate.

It is understood that the producers of Desi Boyz were expecting a U/A certificate but with the lead players playing male strippers, the Board‘s decision to grant the film an ‘A‘ certificate has belied their hope.

On the other hand the makers of The Dirty Picture were a bit nervous about the censorship and were expecting an adult certificate with a splash of Vidya Balan‘s liberal dose of skin-show. However the Censor Board did not see any problem and the film was passed without any cuts.

Desi Boyz is set to release on 25 November, while The Dirty Picture will hit the cinema screens on 2 December.
