    National: Celebrating and honoring music talent at the biggest stage, Vh1 brings to fans the 2018 American Music Awards from the Microsoft Theater in LA, California. Hosted by the versatile Tracey Ellis Ross, witness magical and captivating performances by pop icon Taylor Swift, break-out hip-hop star Post Malone & Ty Dolla $ign, along with some of the most eminent names in the music space including the likes of Cardi B, Benny Blanco, Halsey, Khalid and many more. After a pulsating week-long build-up to the coveted award revels, the telecast commences at 6:30am IST on Wednesday, October 10, followed by a repeat telecast at 9pm exclusively on Vh1.

    The American Music Awards honors artists in multiple musical genres, that are nominated based on key fan interactions, album & digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring as tracked by Billboard. The categories include – Pop/Rock, Alternative Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Adult Contemporary, Contemporary Inspirational, Latin, EDM and Soundtrack, alongside awards for New Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Tour of the Year, Video of the Year, Favorite Song and Artist of the Year.

    MUMBAI: Vh1 is all set to bring its viewers the Billboard Music Awards 2016 on 23 May at 6:30 am with a repeat at 9 pm. The channel will air the function straight from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

    Commenting on the initiative, Viacom18 EVP and head English and youth entertainment Ferzad Palia said, “In the past, we have received an incredible response for the live telecast of the Golden Globe Awards and the Grammys. The telecast of Billboards is our endeavor to further our promise of showcasing the best in English Entertainment. Award shows have a huge impact on the music industry as it witnesses the union of numerous talented musicians from across the globe. We, at Vh1, are thrilled to telecast the grand celebration of music to our audience in India”

    The 2016 Billboard Awards will see the always eccentric actor and singer Ludacris along with the gorgeous supermodel and singer Ciara as hosts of the show. Top nominees for the show include The Weeknd with a whopping 19 nominations across 16 categories, followed by Justin Bieber with 12 nominations across 11 categories. Drake and Fetty Wap are both nominated 11 times, in 10 categories. Singing sensations Taylor Swift and Adele are competing with each other with 8 nominations each.

    The Joe Jonas-led band, Mendes is set to join performers P!nk and The Go-Go’s, together to celebrate the35th anniversary of “We Got the Beat” – A Go-Go’s classic hit.

    One of the highlights of the event is P!nk gearing up to make the World Television Debut of Just Like Fire, her new single from Alice Through the Looking Glass.  Alongside the glamorous and popular faces, a number of fresh talents such as DNCE and Shawn Mendes will also be seen performing at the glorious award ceremony.

    The Annual Billboard Music Awards is a part of an extravagant award show line-up aired on Vh1 which includes Golden Globe Awards, The American Music Awards, The Annual Grammy Awards, Video Music Awards and Europe Music Awards.

    MUMBAI: Vh1 is back once again to give its viewers the next level of entertainment by airing the ‘American Music Awards 2013’. The stage is set and artists are ready to glam up the awards night. The glitz, glamour and razzmatazz of the 41st Awards night is all set to hit your television screens LIVE on November 25, 2013 at 6:30 am with a prime time repeat at 9 pm.

    The much-awaited awards recognize the most popular artists and albums through online and twitter voting. This year is definitely going to be a Clash of the Titans. The pre-show of the awards night is being hosted by Lance Bass, Jordin Sparks, Zendaya, Jenna Ushkowitz, Rosie Pierri, Colbie Caillat, Ted Stryker, Jonathan Cheban, Aimee Song, Bonnie McKee and Jake Owen with performances by Kurt Hugo Schneider, Jabbawockeez, Jesse McCartney, Fifth Harmony and Aloe Blacc amongst the others.

    Serving as the show’s first host since 2008, Mr. Worldwide Pitbull will perform his new hit single “Timber” with Ke$ha. The duo promises to take burn the stage with their electrifying performance. The star studded night will also see an opening act by Katy Perry on ‘Unconditionally’, and TLC will be performing, marking their AMA return with a special unannounced guest. Also bringing the house down will be Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, One Direction and a tribute to the music legend Celia Cruz by Jennifer Lopez.

    The AMA 2013 has an impressive line-up of award categories to honour the biggest names in the music industry. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations with six categories, followed by Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake with five nominations each! Rihanna will receive the ‘AMA Icon Award’ and will also perform this year alongside Luke Bryan and Pitbull. Some of the other artists nominated are Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, Florida Georgia Line, PINK, One Direction and Hunter Hayes amongst others. So embrace yourselves because this is going to be one of the most amazing award shows to witness!
