    Harshdeep Kaur to judge Advertising Rocks’ at Goafest 2024

    Mumbai: Goafest’s ‘Advertising Rocks,’ provides India’s advertising and media fraternity with a platform unlike any other. Offering  participants the opportunity to showcase their musical talent, Goafest’s Advertising Rocks is currently in its second season. Raising the bar higher, Goafest 2024 now welcomes Bollywood playback singer Harshdeep Kaur as a judge. Additionally joining Harshdeep will be Brandmusiq founder & soundsmith Rajeev Raja, and music director and Brandmusiq founding partner & principal composer Merlin D’Souza. Nominations for Advertising Rocks can be submitted until Sunday, 19 May 2024.

    Goafest 2024 invites participants to submit their nominations in two categories: Indian soloists and international soloists. Entries received will be shortlisted by Rajeev Raja, Merlin D’Souza, and BBH former CEO and curator Subhash Kamath, ‘Advertising Rocks’. Finalists will be presented with an opportunity to perform for Goafest 2024 attendees in Mumbai and winners will take home prizes up to Rs. 50,000.

    “The Indian advertising and media industry is teeming with talent”, said BBH former CEO and curator of Advertising Rocks Subhash Kamath. “It’s always inspiring for our industry youngsters to perform in front of professionals. Last year we had Papon as one of the judges and this year we have Harshdeep Kaur, who’s a fabulous singer.”

    Advertising Rocks to electrify Goafest 2024

    Mumbai: Following the success of its inaugural edition, Goafest 2024 is set to bring back ‘Advertising Rocks’, an initiative that offers a unique platform for India’s advertising, media, and marketing community to showcase their musical talents. Embracing the spirit of collaboration and innovation, the organising committee invites solo performers to submit their entries. Selected participants will have the exclusive opportunity to captivate audiences at Goafest 2024, solidifying their presence at South Asia’s premier and largest creative festival.

    With two solo categories – Indian and International – Advertising Rocks 2024 promises a global showcase of musical talent. Four shortlists from each category will have the esteemed opportunity to perform for a distinguished jury and delegates at Goafest in Mumbai.  The ultimate champions will be determined through a combination of jury evaluation and live voting by Goafest attendees, ensuring a fair and thrilling competition.

    Winners in each category will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while the first runners-up will receive Rs 25,000.

    On ‘Advertising Rocks’, Havas Media Network India CEO and Goafest 2024’s co-chair Mohit Joshi said, “Advertising Rocks is back with another exciting edition at Goafest 2024 to celebrate the musical talents of our fraternity.     The deadline for submitting entries for Advertising Rocks is May 15, 2024. Entries by solo performers only belonging to the Advertising, Media, and Marketing fraternity will be considered.

The 17th edition of the festival will take place from 29 to 31 May, 2024 at Westin Powai, Mumbai.

    The Advertising Club’s EMVIES to be held on 22 March 2024

    Mumbai: The Advertising Club gears up to host the latest edition of the EMVIES, widely recognized as the Oscars of the media world that recognizes brand innovators and thought leaders for their pioneering brand and media strategies. With a total of 1892 entries received, EMVIES 2024 will take place on Friday 22 March 2024, at Jio World Convention Centre Mumbai, at 6:30 PM.

    The country’s most coveted media award which focuses on Innovation, Strategy, Research, and seamless Integration, EMVIES 2024, has been adjudged by a distinguished jury of media professionals from across the country. Out of 1892 entries received, 471 were shortlisted. The final round of judging was evaluated by seasoned marketing professionals and select creative directors. Emerging as a gold standard amongst media awards, the EMVIES 2024 has over the years grown in scale and strength.

    For the first time, the Grand EMVIE was judged by a high-power jury comprising names such as Amit Singhal, Santosh Desai, Agnello Dias, Anil Vishwanath, and Avinash Kaul.

    Mumbai: Jon Austin, Co-founder of Supermassive, Sydney Australia, and Kate Stanners, Chairwoman and Global Chief Creative Officer, Saatchi & Saatchi have been appointed as Jury Chair of Branded Content & Entertainment category and Jury Chair of Film Cinema Digital OTT (above 1 min duration) category respectively, at The ABBY One Show Awards 2024.

    Jon Austin, Co-founder of Supermassive has been appointed to the Jury of ABBY One Show Awards 2024 to chair the Branded Content & Entertainment category

    Co-founder of Supermassive, Jon is a creative leader whose work has been recognized at every major advertising awards show in the world for PR, entertainment, social and influencer, music, media, and audio. Prior to co-founding Supermassive, Jon was the Executive Creative Director of Host Havas Australia. With over 15 years of work experience, Jon has helped numerous ambitious and iconic brands achieve amazing things.

    With a background in commercial music, which saw Jon playing on stages around the world, his passion for popular culture has helped him accrue far more interesting accolades than the usual industry fare. His creations, a true crime podcast for the AFP, and a Christmas carol charted at #1, with the carol still being taught in NZ schools.

    Jon’s modern contributions to the tourism industry are significant. He launched a world-first gamified model of ecotourism, that has been praised by global policymakers as a tourism game-changer. Jon also created a global brand platform for Tourism Fiji that brought new levels of authenticity and visitors to the islands.     Kate Stanners is Chairwoman and Global Chief Creative Officer at Saatchi & Saatchi. Having been at Saatchi & Saatchi for 18 years, she has been pivotal in transforming the agency. By harnessing the unreasonable power of creativity, Kate has driven the agency’s spirit of Nothing Is Impossible to deliver impossible outcomes and revolutionize clients’ businesses.

    Based at Saatchi & Saatchi’s London headquarters, Kate oversees Saatchi & Saatchi’s creative output, the creative talent of the network, and global clients that include Visa, UBS, Beiersdorf, and Deutsche Telekom to name a few. Prior to Saatchi, Kate was a Founding Partner of the groundbreaking agency, St Lukes in 1995 – famous for its revolutionary working practices, as well as progressive work.

    Mumbai: Marking its 55th edition, the ABBY One Show Awards continues to strengthen its position as South Asia’s biggest advertising awards that honours creative excellence. Scheduled to take place on 29, 30, and 31 May 2024 during Goafest at Grand Hyatt, Bambolim in Goa, the ABBY One Show Awards is known to honour, inspire and uplift the creative community. Gearing up for an edition that is led by creative inspiration, The Advertising Club and Advertising Agencies Association of India, now announce its esteemed Awards Governing Council (AGC).

Held over three days, The ABBY One Show Awards 2024, are scheduled to take place on the 29, 30, and 31 May during Goafest at Grand Hyatt, Bambolim, Goa.
