    Harmohan Sahni to lead Raymond’s real estate business as CEO

    New Delhi: Raymond Ltd on Monday strengthened its executive leadership team and named Harmohan Sahni as the chief executive officer of its real estate business.

    Prior to this, Sahni was the chief operating officer (COO) of the real estate business of ECL Finance Ltd, the non-banking financial company of Edelweiss Group. A chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), he has also worked at G Corp Developers and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.

    Raymond, chairman and managing director, Gautam Hari Singhania said Sahni has joined the company at a critical juncture when Raymond Realty is taking strong strides and is well poised for growth. “Harmohan has taken on challenging roles and demonstrated the ability to imagine and engineer a new future for the real estate sector in India. His entrepreneurial spirit and extensive experience will be pivotal in unleashing Raymond Realty’s future growth plans,” he said.

    The apparel company forayed into the real estate business in 2019, with a 100-acre plus land parcel in the heart of Thane city, in Maharashtra. Its maiden project ‘Aspirational District’ is spread over 14 acres. 

    Talking about his new role, Sahni said, “I am excited to take on this new responsibility and look forward to working closely with Mr. Singhania and Raymond Realty’s energetic team to create long term sustainable growth for our stakeholders,”

    MUMBAI: After four screens in Vadodara and an equal number of screens in Ahmedabad, the third multiplex of Mukta Arts Limited successfully began its operations at Gulbarga under brand name Mukta A2 Cinemas with Dabangg-2, Sarocharu (Telugu) and Yaare Kugadali (Kannada) as its opening attractions.

    Located at the heart of the city, the three screens multiplex has 1252 seats and has a 2K Digital with 3D projection system which is first of its kind in Gulbarga. It also boasts of hi-tech Dolby Digital surround sound.

    Subhash Ghai said, "I am happy the way our company Mukta Arts is heading faster in exhibition Division too along with our production house this year and was more happy when my friend‘s Salman khan biggest blockbuster ‘DABBANGG 2‘ opened its release with our new multiplex at beautiful city like Gulbarga."

    NEW DELHI: Cinépolis, which is said to be in talks for acquiring Cinemax, has served six million patrons in India within less than three years of operations.

    The world‘s fourth largest cinema chain and India‘s first international exhibitor is driven by progressive international technology such as 3D screens with Real-D technology, Dolby 7.1 surround sound and 100 per cent digital 2k screens across its outlets in India.

    Cinépolis India MD and country head Milan Saini said, “Our phenomenal growth has inspired us to bring further entertainment options to the country like launching India‘s first Cinépolis VIP, our pioneering luxury cinema brand at Ludhiana. This underscores the acceptance and appreciation of International cinema experience and Cinépolis as a brand.”

    Cinépolis has over one million member strong loyalty programme called ‘Club Cinépolis‘.

    Cinépolis India exhibition head Ashish Shukla said, “Our constant endeavour is to reach the next level and offer our cinegoers the best end to end cinema experience.     At present, Cinépolis operates in eight Indian cities namely Amritsar, Patna, Thane, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhopal, Ludhiana and Bangalore. The company plans to open 500 screens in the country by 2016.
