    MUMBAI: Guru Samruddhi House of Investments has stepped onto the sporting court with the acquisition of the GS Delhi Aces franchise in the Tennis Premier League (TPL). The announcement comes ahead of the league’s seventh edition, with tennis icon Leander Paes joining as brand ambassador.

    The launch, held in Dubai on 10 September, was a historic first for TPL as the team unveiled itself on an international stage. The evening drew over 500 attendees, with Paes receiving a rousing welcome alongside blessings from Sadguru Shri Guruji. [sic]

    18-time Grand Slam champion and Olympic medallist, Paes said, “I have been a part of TPL since its inception. This year is a special one for the league as it will become India’s fourth sporting league to complete seven successful seasons, and I am delighted to be associated with GS Delhi Aces.”

    With this acquisition, Guru Samruddhi, a diversified group spanning co-operative societies, insurance, tourism, and real estate, has added professional sport to its portfolio. CMD Vijay Pusdekar said, “We are immensely proud to represent the confidence of putting on a good show for tennis fans in Delhi and across the country.”

    The Tennis Premier League, featuring eight franchises, continues to expand its star-studded roster. Alongside Paes, the league boasts ambassadors and owners such as Sania Mirza (Gurgaon Grand Slammers), Mahesh Bhupathi (SG Sports), Rakul Preet Singh (Hyderabad Strikers), and Sonali Bendre (Chennai Smashers).

    Welcoming the new team, TPL co-founder Kunal Thakkur said, “This year, for the very first time, the league will feature ATP top-ranked players within 30–50.” Fellow co-founder Mrunal Jain added, “With visionary partners like Guru Samruddhi, we are confident this season will be historic, competitive, and truly memorable.

    Mumbai: One Life Studios (OLS), synonymous with creating Indian content for the world, is set to make a mark in premium sports entertainment. OLS has won the worldwide rights for the media licensing of the brand new season of Tennis Premier League (TPL).

    Helmed by former tennis player Kunal Thakur and actor-entrepreneur Mrunal Jain of Skygoal Sports, TPL provides unparalleled global exposure to India’s young talent, shaping the future of tennis in India, said the statement.

    With two highly successful previous seasons, the third season will have eight teams and 80 players with the best of Indian and international players coming together in a lineup of matches over five days, it added.

    Some of the Indian players include current India’s top singles player Prajnesh Gunneswaran, Ramkumar Ramanathan, Yuki Bhambri the first Indian to win the Junior Australian Open title, and the fourth Indian in history to capture a junior singles title at a grand slam championship.

    MUMBAI: After a prolific presence on television with some of the most popular shows like Mahabharat, Porus, RadhaKrishn and many more, writer,  director and producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary, founder of Swastik Productions has now set his eyes on the Tennis Premier League. Siddharth Kumar Tewary has bought the Punjab Bulls for the upcoming season.  The Tennis Premier League is all set to flag off its second edition and is scheduled from December 12 to 15 at the Celebration Sports Club in Andheri, Mumbai.

    At the auctions held recently, Siddharth Kumar Tewary has bought the top player in the men's list, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan who is currently ranked India’s number 4 in the men's doubles and Pranjala Yadlapalli who is currently India’s number 2 in the women’s singles for his team. Punjab Bulls seems to have strengthened their core team in order to establish a mark for themselves.

    The first season, that saw around 132 players fight for the championship in various categories were well accepted by the country. The league received an overwhelming response and tremendous support and encouragement from the entire sports and entertainment fraternity. This season, in a unique format, each team will compulsorily have a player on a wheelchair and 2 winners of the talent day in Delhi, that will be announced later. The league is established under the guidance of  AITA and MSLTA.

    Not many know that Siddharth Kumar Tewary is equally passionate about sports and plays recreational tennis and follows the sport with a lot of interest. He was present at the auctions along with the mentor of his team, Ajay Lakhotia. Commenting on this association, Siddharth said,  “I have been an ardent fan of tennis since I was a child.
