    MUMBAI: The UP Yoddhas are stepping onto the kabaddi mat this season with fresh fire in their kits, thanks to premium sportswear brand playR, which has been named the official kitting and merchandise partner for season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League.

    The new kits, revealed under the theme “Passion in every thread, elegance in every colour” promise to fuse resilience and pride with athlete-driven design and cutting-edge fabric technology. Designed for agility, comfort, and durability, the gear aims to keep players looking sharp while surviving the sport’s grit and grind.

    For playR, the tie-up is more than stitching uniforms. “Our partnership with the UP Yoddhas goes beyond designing kits, it is about capturing the team’s resilience, energy, and pride,” said iCOREts, founder of playR and director, Ravi Kukreja. “We are eager to see the Yoddhas showcase their spirit on the mat in kits that combine passion, strength, and elegance.”

    Led by a powerful mix of raiders and defenders including Surender Gill, Guman Singh, Dong Geon Lee, Sumit, Ashu Singh, and Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi, the Yoddhas will debut their new look in the season opener against Telugu Titans on 30 August in Visakhapatnam.

    Mumbai: Lubi Industries has partnered with the Telugu Titans for the 11th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) as an associate partner. This partnership provides Lubi with a platform to engage with the Telugu Titans’ fan base and strengthen its presence in the sports industry.

    The collaboration is particularly focused on Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where the PKL enjoys strong viewership in both rural and urban areas. With Lubi’s established presence in the domestic and agricultural pump sector, the partnership aligns with the company’s market reach in these regions.

    As part of the agreement, Lubi Industries’ logo will be displayed on the shoulder blades of the Telugu Titans’ playing kits throughout the season, ensuring prime visibility for the brand.

    Tamil Thalaivas & Telugu Titans clash in vivo pro kabaddi season vi opener

    MUMBAI: Mashal Sports Pvt Ltd., the organizer and right holder of VIVO Pro Kabaddi League, announced the fixtures for Season VI, beginning October 5th, 2018. The sixth season of VIVO Pro Kabaddi will begin in Chennai, and will travel across 13 cities, with the final showdown in Mumbai on January 5th, 2019. Fans can catch the action at the stadiums as well as on the Star Sports Network and Hotstar.

    The opening day will witness the clash of kabaddi giants, Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas. The competition will intensify, as the neighbours renew their rivalry in the latest season. In the second match Anup Kumar, the ‘Captain Cool’ of U Mumba for the last 5 seasons, who moves to Jaipur Pink Panthers this season, will lock horns with his former team. 

    The other highly anticipated matches through the week include, Tamil Thalaivas vs Patna Pirates, as the Dubki King Pradeep Narwal will dodge his way through defenders to break his previous seasons’ record of 369 raid points. VIVO Pro Kabaddi League’s highest paid player, Monu Goyat will begin his raid for glory as Haryana Steelers takes on Puneri Paltans in the fifth match of the season. 

    Anupam Goswami, League Commissioner, VIVO Pro Kabaddi said, “We have had to adjust the Season VI window to October onwards, in lieu of the ongoing Asian Games that have nearly all the world’s  top Kabaddi athletes playing for their respective national teams.  We will return to a July start for VIVO PKL Season VII.  Meanwhile, I look forward to VIVO PKL Season VI being an intensely competitive affair, as well as a great celebration of Kabaddi”

    The 12 participating teams have been divided into two zones of six teams each, where each team will be playing a set of 15 intra-zone and 7 inter-zone matches, prior to the anticipated play-offs. The play-offs stage will comprise of 3 adrenaline filled eliminators, 2 qualifiers and the finals scheduled to take place in Mumbai.

    MUMBAI: In a bid to build the brand in the after-market segment, TVS Tyres has come on board as the official associate sponsor for Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League’s Telugu Titans.

     

    The move also comes in the wake of introducing a new brand identity at the beginning of this year.

     

    With Pro Kabaddi League being the second most watched sport show last year, TVS Tyres’ aim is not only to popularize the sport through this partnership, but to also utilise this platform to enhance the brand’s visibility across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

     

    The brand will be supporting the team throughout all the matches, which will go on till 23 August. The matches in Hyderabad are being played from 4 – 7 August. 

     

    TVS Srichakra director P Vijayaraghavan said, “With the new mantra of our brand ‘Nayi Soch Nayi Pechaan,’ this initiative is taken to support a traditional sport, which is now being presented with a lot of freshness and indeed has tremendous prospect and possibility to become one of the most popular games.”

     

    As a part of this partnership, the company has adopted various marketing strategies to promote the brand. To gain prominence, TVS Tyres’ logo is used in the Telugu Titans official website, in-stadia digital display and perimeter boards and BTL activations. The jerseys and shorts of players will also sport the TVS Tyres logo. Special autographed merchandise and mementos by players as well as VIP match tickets are being given to after-market dealers to endorse the brand as well as the sport.

     

    To further strengthen and re-enforce the new brand identity amongst  customers and dealers, the brand carried out on-ground activations that included a meet and greet session with the players as part of the consumer campaigns and promotional events. The products of the brand are displayed at the team’s home stadium in Hyderabad along with distribution of co-branded cheering merchandise and freebies.
