    MEDIAPRO Selects Tedial for Corporate MAM Implementation

    MUMBAI: Tedial, the leading independent MAM technology solutions specialist, has been selected by MEDIAPRO, a leader in the European audiovisual sector, to provide its Corporate MAM system for internal use within the MEDIAPRO Group of companies worldwide. System deployment is scheduled to begin in September 2019.

    The solution, a multisite MAM, will provide several nodes that will be distributed worldwide to MEDIAPRO Group’s companies including Spain, LATAM, North America, France, and more. The solution will enable MEDIAPRO operators to find and access content distributed within each site facilitating the exploitation and distribution of media content.

    The first site to become part of the corporate MAM is Globomedia, one of the first content producers in Europe, based in Madrid. Globomedia will digitize all its content, which will be allocated in the Tedial MAM. This site will be followed by the other MEDIAPRO Group of companies worldwide.

    MUMBAI: Tedial, the leading independent MAM technology solutions specialist, is launching SMARTLIVE MULTI SPORT configurations at IBC 2019 on stand 8.B44. This sophisticated addition to Tedial’s cutting-edge, award-winning sports and live events solution allows users to generate automatic highlights or auto-clipping for ANY SPORT quickly and easily.

    At IBC, visitors will see a dramatic increase in the number of highlights that can be produced in a multi-sports environment with SMARTLIVE.  This is a key addition to the list of the solution’s fast-growing capabilities. Totally agnostic to all data feeds, Tedial’s metadata engine makes it simple to add new SPORT configurations to the system as and when required.

    In addition, SMARTLIVE and Tedial’s Evolution MAM now includes a new module that allows all types of content to be published to any social network in just one click.  Enabled by the system’s capability to create social media campaigns directly inside the MAM, publishing to social platforms has become really easy, quick and efficient.  This will be demonstrated on the stand throughout the show.

    Tedial will also demonstrate its technology partnership with Speechmatics. By integrating Speechmatics’ industry-leading Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) technology with SMARTLIVE, operators can seamlessly search for comments made by the commentators during a sporting match or live event. 

    Providing operators with faster access to content, Tedial is showcasing its new SMARTLIVE bundled solution that can easily be deployed on top of the customer’s existing production environment.  This is key as it provides sports broadcasters with a highly efficient solution that can be up and running very quickly. As well as these new features, Tedial will highlight the financial and operational benefits of operating SMARTLIVE both on premises and in the cloud.

    Julian Fernandez-Campon named as Tedial’s CTO

    MUMBAI: Tedial, the leading independent MAM technology solutions specialist, has announced that Julian Fernandez-Campon has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately. 

    In this new role, Fernandez-Campon will be responsible for overseeing R&D, Operations and Customer Support, working closely with the CSO/CMO (Chief Sales & Marketing Officer), and CFO (Chief Financial Officer) to ensure that the company’s strategy aligns with industry changes and market trends. In addition to his increased responsibilities, Fernandez-Campon will remain focused on the technical innovation that has always defined Tedial’s products and solutions and will ensure that they are delivered with operational excellence and the highest-level of support for the ultimate in customer satisfaction.

    Fernandez-Campon is recognized throughout the industry as a thought leader who has leveraged his technical proficiency and extraordinary grasp of broadcast infrastructures to develop cutting-edge solutions that deliver financial and operational benefits. He is also an accomplished lecturer who has been recruited by numerous industry organizations, including SMPTE and NAB, to share his expertise regarding IMF, maximizing MAMs, and MAMs in the Cloud at technical forums.

    Fernandez-Campon has been with Tedial since it was founded in 2001 where his contributions have had a major impact on all aspects of the Company’s products, solutions design and platform architecture. Fernandez-Campon’s strong background in Computer Science and his master’s degree in Telecommunications and Robotics serve as the foundation for his continuously expanding knowledge base and expertise in new technologies.

    Tedial provides Doordarshan with integrated MAM and archive solution

    MUMBAI: Independent MAM technology solutions specialist Tedial has provided its Tarsys enterprise MAM system to Indian pubcaster Doordarshan.

     

    The Tedial system, installed at Doordarshan’s Kolkata facility provides its operators with core and browser-based desktop media tools as well as a fully integrated archive system, able to scale in volume and throughput. The Tedial archive will connect to Doordarshan’s sites in other regions as well as its central archive in Delhi. Tedial’s Indian partner MediaGuru carried out the installation.

     

    Doordarshan provides television, radio, online and mobile services throughout India and overseas through the Indian Network and also Radio India. Apart from delivering a fully equipped archive, Tedial’s Tarsys MAM will also enable Doordarshan to ingest its existing U-matic, Betacam SP, DVCPR050 and XDCAM HD422 programme content stored on tapes and optical disc media, into the system in both high and low resolution formats.

     

    Tarsys is fully integrated with 30TB of HP Online Storage and a 48-slot HP LTO6 tape library as well as Tektronix Cerify QC for automated quality control of file-based content. It enables operators at the facility to browse, catalogue, search and store content via the Tedial web-client.

     

    Doordarshan director of engineering Ashish De said, “The Tedial MAM system provides us with an integrated archive that is fully scalable enabling us to expand the system, as and when the time comes. Tarsys was recommended to us by MediaGuru following a rigorous tender process and we are very happy with the system.”
