    TBWA wins creative biz of Inbisco’s two brands

    MUMBAI: Inbisco, the distributor of Indonesia‘s food manufacturer Mayora‘s products in India, has assigned the creative duties of two of its products to TBWA Chennai.

    The two brands are Kopiko Coffee Candy and Go Choco, a chocolate-enrobed sandwich biscuit. The mandate was awarded following a multi-agency pitch.

    Inbisco‘s country manager Tomas William said, “These brands are significant for us to consolidate our presence in India and we are keen to follow these up with a larger portfolio of products. TBWAIndia‘s philosophy of disruption resonated with what we are aiming to achieve. The thinking and passion demonstrated by the TBWA team was what we were looking for.”
     
    TBWA India MD Nirmalya Sen added, “A chance to work on the world‘s No. 1 coffee candy. How cool is that! Both the brands assigned to us are from categories that have seen limited success and have to be created, making them plum strategic challenges.”

    TBWAIndia VP South Arindam Sengupta states, “This win gives us a fantastic opportunity to create some disruptive work in two very exciting categories. Needless to say, given the audience, these brands have to embrace new media in a significant way in addition to ATL, in-store and brand activation.”

    Ascendas appoints TBWA Bangalore as communication partner

    MUMBAI: Singapore-based business space solutions provider Ascendas has appointed TBWA Bangalore as its communication partner for launching Park Square Mall.

    TBWA was awarded the duties after a multi-agency pitch as the team presented a media arts presentation which identifies the brand‘s belief. The agency will work on a 360 degree campaign to launch the mall.

    Ascendas India CEO Thomas Teo said, “India is one of the key markets for Ascendas and has grown significantly. With increased activity in the cluttered mall.
     
    space in Bangalore, our task will be to provide a unique experience to our audience with the launch of Park Square Mall. TBWA‘s disruptive thinking and their creative approach will give our brand the necessary thrust to stand out.”

    Commenting on the win TBWA India MD Nirmalya Sen said, “Needless to say we are delighted. Co-creating Park Square as a differentiated mall brand is an exciting prospect. It will require disrupting conventions both in the real estate and retail segments.”

    Madison appoints Mani as COO of Madison Media Infinity, Bangalore

    MUMBAI: Madison Media has appointed V S Mani as COO of Madison Media Infinity, Bangalore.

    Mani‘s previous assignment was with ZenithOptimedia, where he was the head of the Reckitt Benckiser account.

    Mani will head Madison Media‘s Bangalore office which handles clients such as Britannia, TVS, Tata Tea, Levi‘s and Acer.

    In his 18 years of work experience, Mani has worked with advertising and media agencies such as Enterprise Nexus, FCB Ulka, TBWA, ZenithOptimedia and Lintas Media Group.

    Mani has worked on brands like Reckitt Benckiser, Maruti Suzuki, Sony, Whirlpool, Hewitt Packard and General Motors.

    TBWA hires Manosh Mukherjee as COO & CFO for India

    MUMBAI: TBWA India has appointed Manosh Mukherjee as its chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

    Mukherjee moves in after an 11-year stint at Bates141. He will take over the reins from Niraj Dadoo, who is moving out of the agency after a two-year stint.

    “TBWA is clearly poised to scale to greater heights and I am excited and happy to be a part of the agency’s ‘Disruption’ mantra,” said Mukherjee.

    Mukherjee will work with TBWA India’s CEO Shiv Sethuraman in growing Omnicom’s business at TBWA India.

    TBWA is creative AoR for GVK-led Mumbai Airport

    MUMBAI: The GVK-led Mumbai International Airport has appointed TBWA as its creative AoR (agency of record) for the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA).
     
    GVK is currently implementing a master plan for CSIA that involves building a new integrated terminal building called T2. This will be able to handle an annual traffic of 40 million passengers.
     
    TBWA won the account after a multi-agency pitch. The agency will also be handling the media duties for the account.
     
    Said TBWA India CEO Shiv Sethuraman, “This is a once-in-a-lifetime assignment for us. To be entrusted with the task to help create a vibrant and enduring CSIA brand is a matter of huge pride and responsibility.     NewsX awards creative duties to TBWA

    MUMBAI: Ahead of its relaunch, English news channel NewsX has assigned its creative duties to TBWAIndia.

    Sources say four agencies submitted their proposals and the account size is pegged at around Rs 200 million.

    NewsX is evaluating proposals for the media duties and will be taking a final call soon.

    The channel has recently made some senior appointments in the editorial and other division. The latest to join is Asian Age resident editor Seema Mustafa who will be spearheading national affairs coverage.
