    Hathway Digital onboards industry veteran Tavinderjit Panesar

    Mumbai: Industry veteran Tavinderjit Panesar has joined Hathway Digital as head of strategic initiative and broadcast partnerships. 

    In this role, he will be responsible for content buying and placement strategy, driving new strategic initiatives, managing operations in select markets, governance, and diligence.

    Panesar commands more than three decades of experience across diverse industries in areas such as management, strategic planning, marketing, distribution, business development, media and entertainment, and broadcasting.

    He was previously associated with Sundial Bizworkz as managing partner. His longest stint was with Star India for 17 years. He was in charge of distribution for DTH, cable, and commercial establishment verticals in the digital markets for Star India. 

    Panesar later joined Hathway Cable & Datacom in December 2014 and was elevated as director and CEO in November 2016. He was also president of DSports India between August 2017 and February 201. He started his career at JK Tyres and Apollo Tyres.

    MUMBAI: Hathway Cable and Datacom has elevated Rajaraman. S as COO of the video business. Rajaraman was the senior VP of business operations, and played an important role in streamlining the business operations of the company including the Phase-III expansion.

    With an experience of 18 years in the media & broadcasting space, Rajaraman had a long tenure with Star India’s south business as head of finance prior to joining Hathway.

    In wake of the recent changes in its management structure, the company is looking to build greater focus on its Video business to keep pace with the fast changing dynamics of the digitization regime and to grow the business in the new regulatory environment proposed by TRAI in the coming months.

    MUMBAI: Hathway Cable and Datacom Limited has given a new dimension to some of its key channels through a rebranding move that includes new packaging and graphics of the five new channels launched earlier this year.

    Hathway CCC is now ‘CCC’, Hathway Movies & Hathway Entertainment is now H-Flicks 1 and H-Flicks 2, respectively, and Hathway Shoppee is now ‘H-Mart’ while H-Tube retains its identity with a new, trendy feel.

    Earlier this year, in April, Hathway launched four channels — DJAY, Lamhe, Home Theatre and Marathi Talkies followed by Divine during the Ganapati festival, thus, strengthening its portfolio of in-house channels. With this rebranding exercise, the platform now has a line-up of movies, music, spiritual and a consumer-centric channel which offers diverse content to its subscribers with the right mix of localisation.

    Commenting on the rebranding efforts, Hathway Cable and Datacom video business president Tavinderjit Panesar stated, “Our continuous efforts to streamline and create a robust portfolio of Hathway channels has seen another step forward with the refreshing of our key channels — CCC, Flicks 1, Flicks 2, H-Tube and H-Mart with the right degree of positioning and vibrancy.     MUMBAI: Hathway has taken its path breaking LCO portal- Hathway Connect to the next level by launching the Mobile APP version for its local cable operators (LCOs), which will further enhance and empower the operators in strengthening their business operations while “On The Move.”

    As the cable industry is paving its way through the digitization phase, technology is transcending to new platform avenues. Shifting from online to mobile gives the necessary, added tool to our LCOs to manage their business from anywhere and be more widely connected with their subscribers. They no longer need to be restricted to the confines of their offices and can easily manage their subscriber base from any location, thus, creating better efficiencies, communication and turnaround time.

The mobile APP facilitates a series of features to LCOs such as Balance management including instant top-up of his online account with immediate credit, Pack management (renew pack, add new packs or change existing packs), bulk renewal and activation of packs in almost real-time, managing & monitoring of ground collections through field executives, thus, enhancing customer experience. The APP also sends SMS updates to customers for renewals done and the LCO can provide a printed payment receipt to customers via a Bluetooth-enabled printer.
