    #StarbucksCelebratesMoms with a special dedication this International Mother’s Day

    MUMBAI: Tata Starbucks believes in the importance of human connections and recognizes that the most special, warm and important connection is the one with mothers. With an aim to reciprocate the affection and unconditional love of a mother, Starbucks devised a heart-warming social media campaign by virtually replicating its iconic in-store experience to honour mothers and make them feel special on the occasion of International Mother’s Day.

    As an extension to its successful digital campaign #ReconnectwithStarbucks, Starbucks brought alive its unique coffeehouse ritual of partners calling out the customer’s order by urging its fans to share their mother’s favourite Starbucks beverage along with a reason why Starbucks is so special to them. The Instagram entries received a sweet surprise from the brand’s partners in the form of a personalised video message calling out the customer’s mother’s name with their favourite beverage and wishing them `Happy Mother’s Day`. Once again it was a great way for the brand to stay connected with its customers on this special occasion bringing alive a cherished offline ritual, online. The campaign was conceptualised and executed by WATConsult.

    Commenting on this initiative, Tata Starbucks Head of marketing digital loyalty and PR Deepa Krishnan said, “At Tata Starbucks, we constantly endeavour to curate personalised and immersive experiences for our customers which in-turn strengthens our bond with them.   • Ameer Ismail promoted as GolinOpinion president

    MUMBAI: PR veteran Ameer Ismail has been promoted to President by MullenLowe Lintas Group, effective immediately. He has led the group’s PR firmGolinOpinion (formerly LinOpinion) for over 20 years and built the agency into one of the top players in the PR industry. He was also instrumental in bringing Golin on-board as JV partner in India in 2014. GolinOpinion operates as a part of the marketing services offerings of MullenLowe Lintas Group.

    Ameer continues to report to Vikas Mehta – Group CMO & President, Marketing Services for the group. Announcing this elevation, Vikas said “Ameer is just the right mix of Vintage and Vision. In a time when the practice of PR is more important than ever, but the business of PR is getting highly commoditized; he’s the kind of leader the industry needs.     Tata Starbucks appoints Sumi Ghosh as CEO

    MUMBAI: Tata Starbucks has appointed Sumi Ghosh as CEO with effect from 1 January, 2016. 

     

    The move comes in the wake of the company’s current CEO Avani Davda’s resignation. Davda has been instrumental in establishing the Tata Starbucks business and positioning Starbucks as the premier coffee house experience in India. 

     

    Tata Starbucks is a 50:50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee company and Tata Global Beverages. The company said that Davda made the personal decision to pursue other opportunities and accordingly resigned from her current assignment as CEO. 

     

    Ghosh is an eight-year Starbucks partner and brings three decades of consumer retail experience.

     

    Since its entry in the Indian market in October 2012, Tata Starbucks has opened as many as 70 Starbucks stores across the country
