    Tata Sky launches new service Tata Sky Romance

    Mumbai: Tata Sky has announced the launch of its latest platform service Tata Sky Romance to offer curated romantic content across Hollywood (dubbed in Hindi), Bollywood, and television to its subscribers. Priced at Rs two per day, the service is completely ad-free and is available for on-the-go viewing on Tata Sky mobile app.

    The DTH player has roped in Shaheer Sheikh and Sana Makbulhave to promote the new offering with a quirky campaign.

    Tata Sky Romance has a lineup of Hollywood blockbusters  “Bold & Beautiful,” “Cedar Cove,” “Ashk,” “Notting Hill,” “No Strings Attached,” “I Could Never Be Your Woman,” “Death Defying Acts,” “Heartbreakers,” “The Good Girl,” and popular Bollywood titles like “Jab We Met” amongst others.

    Going ahead, shows such as “A Place To Call Home” and “Juda Na Hona” will also be added to the service along with more film titles, said the DTH brand in a statement.

    “Romance is one of the most popular genres in India when it comes to entertainment. We believe Tata Sky Romance is a good destination for audiences preferring to watch content from a different country but in their own language,” said Tata Sky chief commercial and content officer Pallavi Puri. “The service provides the choicest selection of romantic titles across Hollywood and Bollywood on TV screen in Hindi, ad-free, making it a perfect gateway to unwind, this festive season.”

    MUMBAI: The Tata Sky Mobile App streamed every pulsating beat  spinning out from the turntables of the EDM scene’s biggest stars to smartphones around  the country, as the second day of the Ola Sunburn Festival 2017 turned the volume up on the year’s biggest party.

    DJ Snake and the increasingly popular female DJ, Teri Miko, were among the local and international acts performing on the second day of the festival, as track after track of crowd rousing music was pumped out at Pune’s Oxford Golf Resort and on phones around India.

    At the Ola Stage, things kicked off with Kash Trivedi, a house music producer dropping his best tracks. He was followed by Krosses, Paratara, Hollaphonic and the final act by Sartek, the first Indian DJ to be featured by Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings.

    As the sun set at the Empire of the Sun 2.0 stage, Teri Miko was getting the party started by playing some of her best tracks. Swedish producer Salvatore Ganacci took over from Teri, and then made way for Kayzo, who set the stage for the final act by DJ Snake who got the crowd grooving with his wildly popular track, ‘Lean On’.

    Every throbbing beat from the opening day of Ola Sunburn 2017 was streamed live on Tata Sky’s mobile app. India’s leading content distribution platform has tied up with the festival, one of the largest in the world, to bring its eclectic mix of music, entertainment, experiences, celebration and lifestyle straight to the smartphone.

    Ola Sunburn Festival 2017 burst into life on small screens as Tata Sky mobile app streamed the beats of some of the world’s top EDM acts on smartphones on the inaugural day of the iconic music festival. Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike (DVLM) and Coone were two of the nearly 20 electrifying local and international acts performed across four stages, whose pulsating rhythms reverberated around the Oxford Golf Resort (Pune) on the Festival’s inaugural day.

    Twisted Bass got the groove going at the Ola Stage with London-based duo Stooki Sound, Citizen Kain, Talamasca and Swami Harami also spinning out their tunes. Coone, DJ Mag’s highest-ranked Hardstyle DJ in 2016, came on as the sun went down and took the party up a gear at the Empire of the Sun 2.0 stage. He handed over to Mattn, who cleared the stage for DJ Mag’s 2015 Top 100 #1s and concluding act DVLM.

    MUMBAI: With the Oscars just around the corner, it is that time of the year to run down the memory lane and recall the earlier masterpieces that made it to the Oscars and watch them. Tata Sky has launched a new showcase service called Tata Sky Hollywood Winners. Available in both SD and HD, Tata Sky Hollywood Winners will be complimentary for all Tata Sky subscribers. Starting this week, the service will run for a period of one month, up to first week of March.

    “The last Oscars was watched over 200 countries with a viewership of over 30mn. Apart from viewership the demand for Oscar nominated or winning movies also goes up during this time of the year. True to our objective of providing world-class quality content, Tata Sky hence went about collating a bunch of acclaimed Oscar movies that would appeal to viewers across age groups and genres. We have in the past seen a positive sentiment and higher loyalty with HD subscribers whenever we launch such unique and differentiated services. We look forward to many more subscribers enjoying our offerings,” said Tata Sky chief content and business development officer Paolo Agostinelli.

    Catering to the trend of watching movies on the move the service will also be available on the Tata Sky Mobile App.

    This service will showcase select movies that were winners or nominated for ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Director’, ‘Best Actor/Actress in a lead role’ in the previous years’ Academy Awards. It will run Oscar movies all day throughout the week. Some of the best films on offer are The Wolf of Wall Street, The Hurt Locker, Crash, The Reader, American Hustle and many more.

    The service comes as a prelude to the Oscar Awards on 27 February.

    Tata Sky has been the pioneer on differentiated offerings such as Punjab De Rang, Tata Sky Bangla Cinema, Tata Sky Mumbai Film Festival and Kids Showcase.
