    MUMBAI: Reliance Industries’ online luxe and fashion platform Ajio teamed up with Asos, the online fashion behemoth, to deliver a right proper Summer of Style at Lakmé Fashion Week. And, darling, it was a corker. The collaboration, exclusively available on Ajio in India, brought Asos’s latest transition line to the runway, proving that global fashion can indeed have a desi twist.

    The show, a veritable feast for the eyes, showcased an eclectic mix of shirts, trousers, skirts, dresses, and co-ord sets, all designed with a breezy, contemporary aesthetic. Hindi cinema’s own Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya strutted their stuff as showstoppers, embodying Asos  bold yet relaxed vibe.

    “Fashion’s about confidence, innit?” said Tara Sutaria, “and Asos nails it. Walking for LFW is always a thrill, and this year’s summer of style with Ajio was no exception.”

    The Asos transition line, presented in three distinct collections, catered to every sartorial whim:

    Mumbai: Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the Pro Kabaddi League, has notched up strong viewership figures for the opening weekend of the milestone 10th season. According to BARC, 80.1 million viewers tuned in to Star Sports for the first four matches, amassing 2.7 billion minutes of watch time. This underscores the immense popularity of the tournament among passionate fans of the second-biggest sport in the country. Additionally, the broadcaster has witnessed a remarkable growth of 38 per cent in ratings for the opening weekend compared to the last edition, showcasing the enduring appeal of Pro Kabaddi.

    Pro Kabaddi League’s return to its traditional caravan-style format has contributed to its resurgence in popularity and viewership. The tournament has witnessed spectacular performances, with Bengal Warriors commanding an unbeaten run, Gujarat Giants showcasing young raiders who are making their mark, and the return of high-flyer Pawan Sehrawat. Stalwarts like Pardeep Narwal, Maninder Singh, and Siddharth Desai have also left their mark on the league, creating a riveting narrative for fans. During the opening weekend, Gujarat Giants, led by Sultan Fazel Atrachali, won both their games at home against Telugu Titans and Bengaluru Bulls.

    Madame is certain that its new collection and association with Sutaria will elicit excitement among its loyal clients as well as attract new buyers. “The collection will contain capsules such as Sorbet Blue, Lilac Sage, Indigo Breeze.     MUMBAI: Sony MAX is all set to feature the World Television Premiere of the month – Marjaavaan. The action drama featuring Siddharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria will be showcased on 29th February 2020 at 8PM.

    The film revolves around the love story of a local goon, Raghu (Siddharth Malhotra) and Zoya (Tara Sutaria), a mute music teacher whose world is turned upside down due to the villainous acts of Vishnu (Riteish Deshmukh), the son of an infamous gang leader The film takes a series of heart wrenching twists that results in the death of Zoya. Raghu avenges her death while Vishnu continues to destroy everything Raghu lives for.

    Speaking about his role as Raghu, Siddharth Malhotra says, "Milap, Me and my team first decided to change the physical aspect of Raghu – trying longer hair, a bandana, the matches, tougher, bigger and broader look including the tattoos of every religion in India. I found it cool and really enjoyed it. I've never done something like this before."

    Speaking about her role as a mute Kashmiri Music teacher, Tara Sutaria says, "I spent a couple of months before we started filming to learn the sign language as I wanted it to be 100 percent right. I believe if you're doing something unique like this, you need to do justice to the role. I am really grateful to Milap Sir and to everyone that I could learn this language."

    Eros International to release 4 Hindi films overseas

    MUMBAI: Eros International Plc, a global Indian entertainment company, has acquired international distribution rights to four bollywod films. The company has announced that it will release four Hindi language films across different genres later this year in several overseas markets including the UK, US and Middle East.

    First to release will be the romantic action film titled ‘Marjaavaan’ on 15 November, directed by Milap Zaveri, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh. Produced by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment, the film is a dramatic, violent and action-packed love story.

    The second film to be distributed will be ‘Pagalpanti’, which is scheduled to release on 22 November. The forthcoming film is a comedy caper directed by filmmaker Anees Bazmee and produced by T-Series and Panorama Studios. The story of the film revolves around a group of Indian tourists on vacation that turns into a patriotic mission. The comedy stars Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ileana D'Cruz and Arshad Warsi.

    Eros International Media Ltd managing director Sunil Lulla said, “Eros continues to be a forerunner in releasing the biggest hits from Bollywood in significant markets across the globe. We take immense pride in taking quality cinema outside of India to maximise its viewership. And with this, we shall continue to forge our own path in the overseas market with the sole objective to delight the Indian diaspora and global consumers seeking fresh content.”

    Closely followed will be two other releases, one titled ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and the other, ‘The Body’. The two starkly different films are scheduled to release simultaneously on 6 December. The former is a remake of a cult Bollywood film of the same name. Produced by T-Series and directed by Mudassar Aziz, the highly awaited film stars Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. ‘The Body’ is a thriller mystery inspired by its Spanish antecedent. Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, the film is headlined by Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor, Vedhika and Sobhita Dhulipala.
